I stumbled on Flipside when looking on UberEats for Tator Tots (5 months pregnant and my craving at the moment) and let me tell you how happy I am to have found them. I ordered the side beet salad, macaroni salad, tator tots, fried pickles, loaded popcorn and piña colada bread pudding. I ate EVERYTHING! Who would've thought that beets with pickled onions and goat cheese would be this delicious. I was so impressed I just had to call them and tell them. I spoke with Annie the manager and she was wonderful! As a daughter of a restaurant owner I wish more customers would call in for positive feedback. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Allllllll were great, so much so I couldn't even get a picture in before everyone dug in. Drinks are also good! Prices are higher, but with the location and current economy it's to be expected. Visited here with a group before a play and it was a great experience! We were hanging out quite a while and our server was excellent. He was super attentive, dedicated to making sure everyone's spicy beverage met their expectations, and gave great menu suggestions. Went for a late night dinner with the boyfriend and took the dog along. We ate outside. It was around 8pm so it was just us and 2 other tables in the patio area. Our waitress was attentive. As soon as we sat she brought us and the dog water. We ordered the Chip and Dip Burger with onion rings and Sweet Thai Chilli wings. After the food arrived she checked in to see how it was. The burger was delicious. The wings were average.. Later she came back and asked if we wanted dessert. They have a dog menu with various portion sizes of beef patty, hot dog or chicken. Dined on the night of Saturday, January the 3rd, 2026. Service was excellent. My wife had ordered the ahi tuna not knowing it was something thats usually served partially raw. It was our fault since we didnt know how its usually served, but the staff were very understanding, polite and professional and took it back to the kitchen and prepared her another meal. Our server, Jessika if i remember correctly was excellent in making sure we were taken care of and also the gentleman whose name i didnt get who assisted in taking the meal back to the kitchen and ensured that another meal be prepared for my wife. Both of these staff were exceptional in service. I also liked the ambiance in the restaurant. Very colorful and great decor. The only minor negative thing I will say about our experience was that the burgers were not cooked according to order. I ordered medium well and it was served well done, but this is only a minor thing. Everything else was spot on in flavor and quality. Food is food and im grateful for it. This Fairfield joint is terrible. Poor service and soggy fries. I ordered three items for takeout. When picking up, I asked the cashier to confirm that all items were in the takeout bag. She said yes. When I came home, you guessed it: only two items in the bag. Had to drive across town for the second time to pick up the missing item. Great service, large burgers and portions of fries a variety of options and substitutions as well for the price and area this spot is great. Had such a great experience at Flipside Burgers and Bar! Took my 10 year old son on a "date" with our puppy - it is a pet friendly restaurant with a cute outdoor patio. The staff was extremely friendly and I was apologetic when my little guy (the dog) jumped on the waiter (he is still learning puppy manners) and the waiter thought nothing of it. They brought him a puppy bowl with water and refills. They have a cute dog menu too! As for the human food- I was extremely impressed with their selections and absolutely loved my beet salad with rare tuna. My son had dry rub chicken wings and a kid burger. All great he said! I've been coming here for years and am always satisfied and happy. I always get the Reuben and it never disappoints. I will say that I get it on toasted white bread as their rye has caraway seeds in it and I can't stand them. The fries are very thin and delicious. I noticed that if you get soda you also get free refills which is great. My dad got the Philly cheesesteak and said it was great, and he is VERY hard to please. We shared the fried pickle chips which were good but I wish the pickles were cut a little thicker. The atmosphere is typical for an American family restaurant, tvs with games on and a mixed bag of clientele. I will continue to come for years to come. read more

Great experience here. I came up from Stamford to hangout and this was the place we were recommended to try. The staff was super friendly. Location is in the back, off the main road. Tons of parking which for us drivers is a super plus. I had the MacFlip with chipotle Mayo instead of the secret sauce (which I believe is 1000 island dressing). I had the 10 oz version of this sirloin burger, medium well with classic fries. This burger was big and cooked to perfection. Delicious, hot and juicy. Classic fries were a little salty for my taste but good. I had some of my friends sweet potato fries. Delicious and thick cut, i highly recommend those and trying the different sauces. I also had two signature margaritas. First one was amazing the second one not as good. I don't know if they switched up bartenders in between my orders but that's what it feels like. Overall good. It's a decent sized restaurant, with seating at bar, dinning room area with tables and booth. But the booths are a little cramped though. We were a part of 5. It could also be that I'm 6'7" ‍ But there is a patio area outside and with a good amount of outdoor seating. They close a little early unfortunately on the weekends or this would be my regular spot after work. I will definitely be back though. If your in the area or not, they even have a location in Milford. (Haven't try that location) I highly recommend trying them both out. Was shopping in Fairfield and my son was hungry. This place was just down the block so we decided to order take out from there. Nice looking place. The burger was enormous and my son devoured it. It is their version of a Big Mac. The fries were very greasy and had gone limp by the time we got home. I'm guessing they are better fresh from the fryer. Asked for it to be cooked medium.... maybe it was delivered a tad over that, but it was juicy, so, ok. Love those sweet potato fries! My date decided to go with the Spicy Cheesesteak. It's his new favorite! I don't think desserts is their thing. Lava cake was basically a dry (no lava) cupcake, donut hole apple pie with I swear was canned apple filling (bleh!)....today I decided try the popcorn. Good blend of salty & sweet- but not something you'd typically think of as "dessert". Too messy to eat with your fingers (chocolate, caramel, whipped cream), but it was weird to eat popcorn with a spoon. My date got the crème brûlée & this time asked them to HOLD the whipped cream (who puts whipped cream on top of crystallized sugar? ) This summer we've been eating out in the patio, which has been enjoyable. Today we ate inside, and it was a noisy, fun, lively atmosphere. There was a mix of students and families with little kids. I imagine later in the evening there would be more of a drinking crowd-- BTW there's a full bar here-- there cocktail menu is also inventive & a fun read. The burger was good, we got the Macflip burger. Fried should be way better but those get 2 stars. Main reason for two stars is because we did a pick up order and the hostess added a 20% tip. I used the tap function and didn't notice until afterwards that she automatically pushed the 20% for a tip. ITS A PICK UP ORDER, why receive a tip for doing nothing, and if anything your job. 5 Stars is a pretty big complement but I must say, I had a huge craving for a burger and a friend and I were passing through the area. She happened to be familiar with this restaurant and so we stopped in. This was the best burger I've had in a very long time. In terms of flavor, juiciness, ugh - it was seasoned to perfection. The chips on the burger remained crisp through each bite. I thought I wouldn't like the sour cream on the Crunchier Burger but it was nice touch. I also subbed fries for onion rings and they were delicious as well. I would compare this restaurant to Plan B, but from what I can recall I think I liked this a bit better. I also had a watermelon margarita which definitely hit the spot. Outdoor and indoor seating with social distancing precautions in place. If I didn't live so far away, I would definitely frequent Flipside more often. read more

Highly recommend visiting Flipside Burger & Bar on Sunday. The $8 margarita day. Their blood orange margarita is the best I've had. The juice tastes super fresh and it's not sweet or tart. Just perfect margarita goodness. The menu is creative and fun. It has some really interesting burger combinations, such as the Mr.Crusty, a burger topped with chili, cheese, French fries, and ketchup. They also have nachos that are available on french fries or nacho chips, I went with the french fry version and I was not disappointed. It was a mound of french fries covered with queso sauce, chili, guacamole, pico de gallo, scallions, and you can add pulled pork or chicken. I went with the pork. It was so good, I ate more than I should have. The have a drink special for each day of the week, but personally I love margaritas, so Sunday will be my Flipside day. The only critique I can give is that the chili was a bit salty. That being said I would still eat the chilli cheese nacho fries, and the Mr.Crusty regardless because they are that good. read more

This used to be a good family restaurant with tasty burgers. Unfortunately the quality has gone down. The burgers were over cooked, the bread was hard and tasted stale. The portion of fries was less. They now charge $3.00 for a soda mostly filled with ice and then ask for an additional $1.00 for refills when previously they were free.
