I believe I found it at Big Ray's. My two dogs were just as yummy as I expected, but I could only eat one hot dog because I had to get the fresh-cut, homemade French fries. Very homey feel with friendly service. Al fresco dining is available when the weather is nice. The staff was very friendly, and I can attest that the food is great.

The only real question: Would Big Ray's chili dog treat me kindly? (Important considerations were made.) We arrived around 5:30pm on a chilly January Friday and quickly realized we were not alone in this brilliant decision. The dining room was already about ¾ full, which I take as an excellent sign when evaluating burger-and-dog establishments. After a quick menu scan, I locked in my order: a ¼-lb beef hot dog with chili, mustard, and onions ($4.99) plus a Diet Pepsi (because balance). Adventure Buddy went all in with the Honey Butter Chicken Club ($8.59) and an order of fried pickles ($4.99), washed down with an orange Fanta. Total damage? Under $27. Date night win already. The food came out fast and piping hot, which is exactly what you want when you're this hungry. My chili dog immediately delivered--solid flavor, generous chili, and most importantly, the hot dog was grilled, giving it that slight snap that separates the pros from the amateurs. No soggy sadness here. Adventure Buddy's chicken sandwich was also a standout. This was a legit chunk of chicken breast, not a sad, thin patty pretending to be something it's not. Crispy, juicy, and the honey butter added just the right touch of sweetness without crossing into dessert territory. The fried pickles were thick-cut, crunchy, and exactly what fried pickles should be--dangerously snackable. All around, Big Ray's absolutely delivered. Solid food, quick service, great value, and the kind of place you immediately add to your "easy yes" rotation for burgers, dogs, and sandwiches. I'll definitely be back--especially once the weather warms up and that front patio becomes fair game.

We all wanted to sit in the bar area to have dinner and drinks (the only one ordering alcohol was the birthday girl) and we had presumed we could get happy hour prices from 4-6 pm . This was on Sunday, and my mistake was not knowing that they had opened at 11am. However the problem arose when my friend, who is disabled (she has a rod in her back) asked the young women at the front door whether they had a table available in the bar area, as there would be 3 of us dining and due to her disability she was unable to sit on the barstool. However, the birthday girl would still like to enjoy happy hour prices! Immediately my friend was shut down in a very condescending manner, and told we don't do that! Only people who sit at the bar get happy hour prices. My friend then asked these young ladies to please get their manager, she would be going to the ladies room and would like to speak with a manager upon her return. One of the girls asked her would she like to be walked to the bathroom? She was advised that wasn't necessary, just please provide a manager. I clearly let these young girls know that my friend was not looking for preferential treatment, not looking for a favor, this is THE LAW! One cannot discriminate against the disabled! Now yes, it turns out that we were not in the hours where we could get happy hour prices, and that was absolutely fine. But these young women need to be schooled on the ADA . As it turned out, the manager was a lovely, knowledgeable and kind woman who knew her job well. She explained that they had opened at 11am, therefore happy hour had ended (we arrived at 4pm). But she was professional and courteous. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. My complaint is with the door staff not being made aware of ADA laws and that they are in fact not something they can choose to ignore or enforce at their own discretion.

We always are cheerfully greeted, and we are seated immediately because it was right after lunch and right before the dinner rush and we sat in the bar area on a high top and it worked out perfectly. Our server was outstanding. She came over got our drink order and if we wanted any appetizers which we did not get this time, but let me just say their appetizers are to kill for they are outstanding. As you can see in the photos, the burgers are done right they are nice and juicy and the toppings are just right in the buns are so fresh. It's crazy. So if you're in the Gettysburg Square area, we highly and I mean highly recommend stopping in here for either a burger or one of their other options which are all really good food well prepare prepared.

I asked for my burger medium well and it came out rare but honestly it tasted amazing! The chili was warm and perfect for a chilly day. I forgot to take a picture but their brownie sundae was so good it was gone in a minute. Definitely check this place out if you're looking for a delicious juicy burger!

It was chaotic to enter and navigate the lot. I had to cut through a line of traffic to get into the lot. When I was able to navigate the lot I had to then find a parking spot. None of them were available near the entrance to the lot so I decided to go around the building and saw there were spots, but an entitled person decided to park sideways in several spots and left nowhere else to park on that side. So I went to what is basically the front of the building and found a spot. Such chaos. Finally inside, I used the kiosks to link my account and place my order. Order placed, took a number and found a table. Situated myself and just waited for my food to come out. After a bit it did appear and I was about to dig in. However, there was no ketchup on the tray and it appeared there is no ketchup out in the restaurant to grab my own. I went to the counter and had to wait until a staff member came to the counter. Interestingly enough it was the staff member that delivered my tray and she thought I was there to order something. I just wanted ketchup and after saying that she handed me a few packets and I went back to my seat. Can't say much about the food, it is what it is. We all know what McDonald's taste like and there isn't anything special to it. Leaving here was just as chaotic. I was trying to pull out and was almost in an accident. There are too many thing converging at the entrance to this lot.

It felt vintage! Our waitress was great. We came for the thin crust tavern style pizza everyone raves about (heads up this is a special and was no longer going on). She was able to convince the chefs to make one for us! The price of their items for the quantity you get does not match up well. We understand local and higher quality ingredients but about 6 bucks for 30 fries is a little steep. The Tavern Style Pizza was around 25 dollars. We also got a chicken biscuit sandwich for our group and it didnt come with the side it was supposed. My rating is a 4 star based on taste and quality of the food, but the prices vs the amount of the food limiting it from a 5 star. The tavern style pizza had great taste and flavor. I see why people rave about it. I would like to go back and try their archetype pizza and detroit style. The chicken egg biscuit sandwich was also delicious! Overall, we want to go back and try other items. Know it cost a little more than your local pizza shops.
