I just like five guys...the patties are always good, their shakes are also bomb. Service never disappoints!

Overall, I thought my experience with this Five Guy was fine. I was interested in doing some damage to my week of (mostly) clean eating, so Five Guys was a prefect place to do so - especially since I was in the area. ;) For my dining pleasure, I went with a cheeseburger (loaded with several free toppings), fries, and a milkshake. While Five Guys (in general) always has been on the "pricey" side for burger, I was not expecting to spend close to $30 (with tip) for this meal. Ok, so I probably should have paid more attention to the prices while I was ordering, but my stomach had more control over my brain. I have nothing to complain about regarding the service at this Five Guys. Also, I thought the restaurant was pretty well-maintained because I did not see dirty tables, floors, countertops, etc. The self-service condiments (e.g., ketchup and malt vinegar) were well-stocked, and the restaurant had PLENTY of peanuts. While I probably will not go out of my way to visit this location, I probably will return if I'm having a burger/fries/milkshake while in the immediate area. read more

Ordered using Uber Eats and they gave me the worst fries that I have ever had from ANY restaurant! They were greasy /barely cooked. Cooked with cold grease and taken out TOO SOON! AWFUL! They were so greasy that the bottom of the bag was full of grease. It was like they had half cooked some fries from the previous day and gave them to me to get rid of them. I should have taken a picture!! Then my burger had lettuce scraps ( the part you should be throwing away and not passing on to people)! I went in for an interview today, when i walked in I told them that I have an interview scheduled. She looks at me and points to an area i can go sit. My interview was scheduled for 12:00 i got there five minutes earlier because thats what i do when i have. a job interview. So is it down and wait. Then I notice i guy in the same area as me with no food and is waiting for something as well. Then it clicks he is also waiting for an interview. But he has been there way longer than me. So i'm waiting and 25 minutes pass and no one even acknowledges us or tells us how long we have to wait..They just stare and i'm pretty sure they were talking about us to. So i left because if your treating me like this in the interview process then you obviously aren't going to treat me well if i get hired.. Ordered 3 burgers from here last night. 2 of them had missing items in the burgers. It's seems like an easy task to add the items listed on the detailed receipt! The shakes took much longer to get made than the food, so by the time I left the food was already getting cold. Again, how hard to get the food out together? Not a good night for Five Guys. Passed by and went in. Music was a bit loud and service was okay. Got a little hamburger (540 cal): I ordered some toppings but not everything was added when I got it. Oh, well... I also ordered an Oreo cookie milkshake with added whipped cream (590 cal) : not healthy but very good. Helped myself to some peanuts. I loved them. Definitely one of the best Burger + Fries chain restaurants that people underestimate. In reality, there's two types of burgers people enjoy. One being healthy and light and the other being greasy and heavier. If you chose the latter, you're my kind of person because I truly believe that's what a burger should taste like. If you wanted something healthier, you wouldn't be eating a burger in the first place. Anyways, ordering is super easy. Go up to the front cashier and there's a full blown menu available with kosher hot dogs included for those on a bit of a dietary restriction. Service is amazing and food comes out fast. When you order their fries, they always give you extra too so the portion control here is that there is none! I gave 4 stars simply because their prices are a bit higher up for a fast food joint. The male employee - Hispanic is rude & his customer service skills are AWFUL. He did not provide a hello, but a "hey" and he did not say "thank you" after paying for purchase. My mother even asked for more ketchup in the packs and he told her where it was. My mother would not have asked him for more if it was where it was supposed to be. Fries have the best seasoning and cost only $5 enough for 3 people. I enjoy their complementary fresh peanuts. I like having option of vinegar and ketchup with fries. Used to be a huge fan of Five Guys but my last few visits have just been ok! Their prices went way up for one so not sure it's worth it. Yesterday I was craving a burger and it just wasn't good. The bun wasn't fresh at all and it wasn't toasted - just totally blah! Food was good as always, reasonably clean dining area, staff was polite and competent (rare around here). Actually only dings we're more technical. Guy at the register didn't call out the patties till after we'd payed, normally you call them out as people begin ordering. And consequently the second ding, which was a 17 minute completion time. Technically 5 guys standard is 8 minutes. (Secret shopper dings). All in all though great location! read more

I know we're in the covid phase and the barrier of glass or plastic is becoming a thing now and that it can impede listening...having said that the five guys here can sometimes miss toppings on your order and since dine in isnt really a thing, you tend to find out you have a plain burger with nothing at all when you get home. Again I know it can be hard to hear given we have masks and the barrier. But whoever is taking the order should double check if they are unsure. read more

Just dropped in for some of the best French fries on the planet! But seriously they make good Fries from scratch. They have the potato's shipped from various potatoe farms around the country and when I use to be a frequent five guys patron they use to let you know where the French fries came from that day. As a belated birthday meal, my friend and I went to the new Five Guys in way out Silver Spring which we discovered on a previous jaunt to Target out that way. While I don't eat red meat, I was intrigued by all the talk I have heard about this place. We stopped in previously and I saw that besides burgers that they have grilled cheese on the menu for $2.09! Well, I may be jaded because I was starving, but that was the best grilled cheese ever!! It appeared as if it was prepared on one of those sandwich maker-machines. I had grilled mushrooms added to mine for no charge. As Chandelor Bing would say, "It was perfection." The aroma of fries was mouthwatering as we entered and the "famous" cajun-styled fries were no let down. My friend loved her cheeseburger too, as she had been looking forward to it all week. This practically new location was spotless and the service was great. Our server forgot to add the price of the fries to the bill and when my friend pointed it out, he said not to worry about it. (She tipped him well!) This may have been my first visit to a Five Guys, but it definitely won't be my last! read more

One of my favorite fast food spots, I love their burgers, fries and milkshakes. I typically order their small cheeseburger (1 patty) with lettuce, mayo, grilled onions and jalapeños and bbq sauce and it's always delicious. Their plain fries are absolutely delicious too and they always overfill your fries! I recently tried their salted caramel milkshake which was so delicious, i finished before i even got home! I got my mom a strawberry shake and she said it was delicious too. The shake was perfect! Not too thick and not too thin. I usually like my shakes on the thicker side but the shake was still pretty good! I also come here when I'm on a diet (keto) and i usually order a regular burger (2 patties) in a bowl or wrapped in lettuce which is also really good! I usually don't even miss the bun!! I honestly think they have the best burgers, hands down!! No other place compares! The price is a little high but it's soo worth it! However, I went to this location yesterday me and my kids were the only people in the store waiting on our order. Another customer comes in behind us and orders a big meal with a milkshake. The employees immediately start working on her order. I stood and watched my burgers get pushed to the side. when I asked for my food they said it's coming. but how does a big order with a milkshake surpass my order when I was first? Also if they're going to check twenty dollar bills they should also check tens and fives or use a counterfeit marker to check your bills. read more

But, today is New Year's Day, and if you're starting a diet, then the reason this place is SO GOOD, is also the reason to stay away. Looking at the nutritional guidelines on the company's website, the calories/fat numbers don't look too bad, but the portions are small, and it is so easy to eat WAY TOO MUCH at this place. This not my first visit to Five Guys but it is my first review. My Five Guys here on Tech Rd is great, the people are so friendly from counter people to the cooks everytime I come in. Xavier is really awesome at the counter, he is always very nice, friendly and positive. The burgers are made fresh and are always good here, you may wait a bit longer for your food because every order is made fresh . I know they are busy but the floor could use a broom. read more

Oh. My. GOODNESS. I went a few nights ago (around 8pm, when my usual meat cravings start) and ordered a simple cheeseburger with grilled onions, mayo, lettuce, and tomato...now I'm addicted. Seriously. I dreamt about it last night. I live 3 miles away. There goes my diet. The meat was perfectly cooked, with enough juice that it satisfied instead of grossing me out. Only downside is that it's VERY loud, so you have to yell your order. Minor setback...I'll yell my order across the parking lot if I have to. I'd stay away from the fries though. A starchy unsatisfying mess that was overcooked on the outside and barely cooked in the middle. Five Guys is known for their fries, but this location did NOT deliver. However, I couldn't care less about the fries because I'm focusing on that juicy burger. Maybe it was an off night. Maybe I'm not partial to steak fries. Bottom line...I'll find ways to sneak this into my diet. If it means an extra hour on the elliptical (yeah, elliptical, treadmills are for pansies) then so be it :) read more

The four stars are for the fries. Seriously these fries are so satisfying. If you're having a really bad day and emotional eating is your thing (I am not condoning nor am I advocating for emotional eating... but I also understand that we all have our days), I recommend the fries. They'll put you in a carb coma. But sadly you'll wake up and your problems may still be there (or not if you wake up the next day idk), but the fries will not be. So you'll come back the next day like I did and get some more fries. And then you'll gain a few pounds, curse the scale and stop getting Five Guys Fries. I also had a burger here and it satisfied my craving at the time but the fries really kept me loyal (for like all of two days... ok ok.. three). I don't recommend their milkshakes. Their fries are soggy and limp. Nothing ketchup won't cure, and the regular size order us enough for two people, but I don't know what other reviewers are raving about. The burger is nice; plenty of condiments, and the regular size is a double patty. If I had remembered that I would have ordered the little burger instead. The employees are friendly and service is quick. The dining area is clean, well lit, and music plays in the background. This is a good place to go if you're feeling hungry. This is also one of those places that you'll feel guilty about eating at the rest of the day. Five Guys is a cheap burger joint that offers a lot of food for a little money. They offer hamburgers and cheeseburgers that are stacked two patties high. They now offer a small hamburger and cheeseburger which I'm assuming is only one patty. There are plenty of toppings to choose from when you're building your burger including (but not limited to): ketchup, mayo, bbq sauce, hot sauce, tomatoes, onions, grilled onions, lettuce, jalapenos, bacon, pickles, etc. The fries come in huge portions. They're supposed to be served in a tall 8-10-oz cup, but they put the cup in a bag with your burger and throw the fries in over everything. This is good because you get way more fries than your bargained for (and can usually split with another person) and bad because you have to dig through them all to get to your burger which gets you really greasy. They also serve old fashioned malt vinegar for fries and peanuts by the bulk while you're waiting for your burger. The lunch rush at this Silver Spring location is manageable because the employees work quickly. You usually get to eat your order within 10 minutes of walking in the door. Three stars just because it's not my favorite place for lunch, it makes me feel guilty, and I've had better burgers. read more

The tables are always dirty; the soda machines either do not work, or have no ice; and there is always someone outside begging; and I have seen cleaner bathrooms in the 7th inning stretch at a baseball stadium.
