I had spectacular experience at Five Guys. The food was amazing, and everyone was super nice. Everyone is so friendly and humorous. Both the fries and burgers are the best I've ever had. They overflow the fries so much so that there is enough at the bottom to fill the cup up again. This might seem bad, but I guarantee you will want some more fries after having those masterpieces. Perhaps the best part of the place is the atmosphere. The red and white checker pattern look awesome. There are quotes everywhere about people who like the place. I stand by my opinion that this is the best restaurant in Sioux Falls, fast food or not, and I look forward to coming back again! read more

I give the burgers 5 stars Skip the fries unless you want them soggy I don't get it. All those fresh potatoes, so much pride in Idaho potatoes then you fry them the exact opposite of every other place. I walked to Five Guys for lunch today. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food is always good, of course....and they always give you enough fries to feed an entire family. I was a little confused because the cashier asked if I was a "small" order of fries or a regular order. I asked for small and got half a bag lol. That's Five Guys!! Hair in food! Very unprofessional when handling refund. All teenagers working no adults. Girl didn't know how to work register for a refund. When I suggested to "please give me money back and figure it out when I'm gone" she snapped at me "no need to be rude." Not rude you .... After a long day of travel, we stopped for a quick burger before checking into our hotel. My husband was looking forward to some peanuts. Evidently the peanuts are closed up at 9:00. They do an excellent job. Identical quality as you'd get in Bismarck or Fargo. If you've never been, the burgers taste like they used to taste when you made your own at home. The ingredients all have a fresh and real flavor, vs being dried out or flavorless. Don't let the word "little" fool you in the little burger column. You won't be able to get your mouth over the top and bottom in the same bite if you put some extras on it. One downer for them is their parking. I have eaten at Five Guys for years, today I was sorely disappointed. My husband and I both had single patties, the burgers were extremely thin and small at this location. Both times I've been there the fries are soggy and over salted. The point of balancing the fries in oil and then frying them is to make them crispy, not to absorb more grease. The burgers are average, and nothing about the place stands out, other than it's located in an old 7-11. There are other places in town that do burger and fries better, and cheaper. read more

I love the five guys location in Omaha and the old location in Sioux City, this one is good but not as good. The food was made fast and the burger was good. My grilled mushrooms were cold, but the rest was really good on my burger and they were accommodating with my younger child. The fries, which is why I went, were a disappointment! They were bright orange with seasoning instead of nicely seasoned like in other locations. They were way to hot for most of us a a result. Very disappointed since we went for the fries. The whole place was very clean and the people were friendly but probably won't go back since the fries were so over seasoned. read more

We had to drive 80 miles to go to this particular 5 Guys, well worth it. This place is pretty awesome. I love the feel when we dine in. It's a little more than going to McDonald's or something because it's priced (and proportioned) like Chili's, Applebee's etc. The food you get is a lot for the money proportion wise and is absolutely great. The noise levels inside can be a bit much for younger kids, but the food is worth picking up if you do have little ones. Go here if you haven't. read more

I think Sioux Falls hasn't been familiarized with expensive burger chains yet so it's no wonder the price is a deterrent to a lot of people. Yes they are more expensive than Mac dons , but that's because they're not frozen patties. It's a different experience. A very familiar experience for bigger cities.
