Great stop for some road trip fast food! There aren't Culver's where I'm originally from, so it's a new fast food spot for me. You can get a burger, fries, and drink for $9, which is a steal today. The burgers are way better than typical fast food burgers in my opinion and taste real and fresh. I also love the curly fries, though some of them weren't as crispy as I like. This was my first time eating at Culver's. The excellent customer service really made an impression on me. Specifically, a gentleman named Chip (name tag). He made the experience easy and memorable. He made my first time experience personable and welcoming. The food was yummy. I got the butterburger with cheese with a side of cheese curds. I also upgraded my drink to a strawberry malt. So, as a California native, I have had the famed "In-N-Out" burger many times. And I have to say, In-N-Out can't hold a candle. The burgers truly always taste fresh, never frozen, and I like their Kringle cut fries. I am starting to think that Shake Shack copied Culver's because they taste very similar in my opinion, but Culver's is the original and a better deal. We ordered online and they did mess it up a bit, I ordered a double Culver Deluxe, and my husband ordered a double butter burger with bacon, but instead we got double butter burgers neither had bacon. My friend got the veggie burger which did come up correctly. I submitted a severe and immediately received a response from the manager who was extremely apologetic and sent us coupons. In the end, even with the slight error with our order, I love this place and will always come back :) read more

The Double Deluxe Butter Burger with Onion rings and a pumpkin spice shake was great, if a little pricey. That's my only complaint. The staff were great and courteous. First time eating at a Culver's. Great burger and liked the curds! I didn't eat in so my food had cooled a bit upon my arrival at the hotel. Will definitely suggest it to travelers. However I do have to say, if you are looking for a healthier option, the strawberry field salad was great. Fresh strawberries, pecans, cheese- yum! Not bad for a fast food salad. There was an employee, a young man, holding the door open for our family when we arrived, welcoming us. He took our order and was charming, helpful and organized even with our 7 person disjointed ordering situation. My 14 yr old son, of all people, was so impressed by this employee that he wanted to tip him. We were unsuccessfully hunting for cash and a gentleman from the next table who heard the whole story handed my son $5 for the tip saying his heart was warmed by what he was hearing. I guess we're spoiled in that we are from the home state of Culver's which is Wisconsin. We visit Sioux Falls periodically and we stopped for lunch on March 8, 2016 My wife ordered a salad and I had a Walleye dinner. I was satisfied with my meal but my wife has had much better salads at the Culver's in our home town in Wisconsin. The primary green was simple iceberg lettuce and some pieces were wilted. I tried to access their wifi and was unable to. When I asked the floor staff he was not very helpful. He asked the manager and essentially we were told if we wanted to access the wifi we would need to move to a different seat!!?!? What?!?!?! I'm left thinking that the franchise stores that are further from the corporate headquarters may not meet the same standards as those that are closer to home. read more

We read that Culver's is the Mid-West version of In-N-Out. Well, being from California, I had to find out for myself. I had traveled to Sioux Falls for an interview, and we decided to give Culver's a try. OMG!!! I wish we had Culver's in California. The food, service, and cleanliness was great. Their food is delicious! We had burgers, fries with their famous Wisconsin cheese dipping sauce, and cement mixers (ice cream mixed with toppings). I think it is better than any place in California. I would say that Culvers has the best traditional "fast food" in town. You can tell that they use real ingredients, and put time into what they are making. All of the food is great, and very welcoming of allergy issues. Everything from the salads, to the burgers, and even the fish and chips (according to the fiancé) are amazing. They have the best ice cream in town, and are huge supporters of Sioux falls organizations! A great place to go with family, where everyone can get what they want, and you know it will all be good. Sadly, as of this review, it's an exclusively mid-western chain which means that when it comes to perfect custard and burgers from a chain, this southern boy is out of luck. if you get the chance, please check it out. Home of something called the "butter burger" (!!!). Butter Burgers are exceptionally bad for you but the taste is actually worth the myocardial infarction that regular servings will surely lead to.
