I had a hankering for a burger and a need to get out of the house yesterday, and was debating between Five Guys and Shake Shack. Went with Five Guys for the cajun fries. They seem to be handling coronavirus pretty well! The store was clean and they moved out all seating so that customers had ample room to spread out while waiting for their orders. It was a busy day, but my food came out only about 15 minutes after ordering online. The staff was friendly. As for the food - the burger was good, but the worst one from Five Guy's that I've had. That being said, I've never been to this location or ordered these toppings before, so it might have just been me. I got a little bacon cheeseburger with mushrooms, onions, and hot sauce. In hindsight, should've added more sauce of some sort. I haven't been in probably 5 years, but would get "everything" on my cheeseburger and loved it back then. read more

Food is always great but the service needs some attention. I ordered online and the time said 5-10 mins. I waited 15 mins just to be safe. I got here and no one came up to ask my name. I had to yell out where do you pick up orders to a employee. They said it's being worked on and it took another 15 mins. Total of 30 mins for ONE burger. Earlier in the week we visited this restaurant and placed orders for a cheeseburger with bacon, fries, and a bacon hamburger, and 2 lemonades. When the order was given to us, the bacon hamburger had NO hamburger just a bun and bacon. The manager asked for the receipt and then made another order of the bacon hamburger. Much to my disappointment the new order contained a bun with bacon and 2 GREASY patties which I was unable to eat. In my many trips to Five Guys around the country, this was the WORST experience I have ever had! read more

Love five guys! From the area it was born though so maybe I'm biased. Burgers are delicious - love all the various toppings. Fries are so crispy. Portions are huge. Most days I'd recommend a little burger (1 Patty not 2) and little fries but if you're hungry, do the regular burger. I'd still do the little fries since the normal is a collassal amount. MAYBE IF WE IGNORE CUSTOMERS THEY WILL STOP BOTHERING US? This seems the ethos at this location. Five Guys had been reasonable through the pandemic but is now failing badly as their service level at South Euclid has dropped out the bottom. Ordered and paid on the app, arrived and stood by the counter for pickup and was ignored by the 6-7 workers behind the counter for a solid 10 minutes until queuing at the register. At the register, I showed my online order and the worker tells me to step down to the counter (where I had stood for 10 minutes ignored) and she will deal with me. The register worker then mysteriously disappeared to the back and didn't reappear for some time. I finally was able to flag down an employee and gave my name and discovered that mine was the bag sitting on the shelf above the fry warmer since I had arrived. Then no fries were available so another 10 minutes passed waiting for them to cook. Finally get my food (with four napkins for 3 sandwiches and a few ketchup packets) and a nice Five Guys sticker! Then, to add insult to injury, they got the order incorrect even though it is clearly written in big letters on the receipt taped to the bag. This is the worst experience I have had at five guys and I will never come back to this location. There is incompetent and there is INCOMPETENT...this is the latter. So, a thoroughly horrible meal of cooled, incorrectly prepared burgers, lukewarm fries and money cast out the window. How can a simple meal of burgers and fries get messed up? Well, rest assured that they found a way at Five Guys South Euclid. I tried to call to speak to a manager but no one answers the phone and the machine gives a response that the mailbox is full. My money spends fine anywhere so making the drive to Harvard Park or just going to one of the other nearby restaurants is not a big deal. Interestingly enough, a guy came in while I was waiting for them to cook fries and was asked who he was picking up for without a problem (no waiting)??? This five guys has gone downhill considerably in the past few years. The pinnacle came for me earlier this month when I ordered a fountain soft drink and none of the diet pops were working. So I asked to speak to a manager and a girl came forward who didn't speak. I had to presume she was the manager and explained the situation. She went around to check....I guess. But said nothing. NOTHING then disappeared to the back never yo be heard from ag a in. I called 5 guys customer service to get a refund but the complaint was never addressed. Not to mention the charge about 11 bucks for a burger now. TBH Burger King across the street is actually much better. read more

I love Five Guys in general, but this one misses the mark for me. My wife and I have gone many times to this location, and it's never really clean. The upkeep on the condiment bar is subpar as well - every time we've gone either the ketchup dispensers are empty, they are out of lids for our cups, or there are no more straws, etc. I also notice a difference in the way my food is prepared. While my wife loads up on toppings, I keep it plain with just mustard. It's normally very good at other Five Guys but whenever I go to this location there is almost never enough on there for me to taste it. Even worse, they put on so little that it absorbs into the bread immediately, making the burger taste very dry. It happens every time and while we will still go if my wife has the caving (if I can't persuade her to get a burger elsewhere), from now on I'll be sticking to the fries. Okay, so I don't eat pork. But every once in a blue moon I get this....hankerin' for a hot dog. And because of my "pigs are friends not food" philosophy, it's gotta be a beef dog. Enter Five Guys. I was surprised to unwrap my hot dog and discover the thoughtful way it was prepared---they cut it in half to maximize its contact with the grill. So you get an awesome Hebrew National dog with awesome caramelization on it....I really love that texture. For me, all it needed was some ketchup. One star off for the fries....I'm not a big fan. I like really crispy fries and these were definitely too soft for my taste. read more

Very disappointed in a former favorite burger place. It took forever to complete our order and one of the burgers was incorrectly assembled with extra condiments. One of us was finished eating by the time the correct burger was finally delivered. The person at the counter was less than accommodating and less than polite with a curt "Just throw it away." SAFETY/HEALTH STANDARDS: To top this off, NOT ONE employee who was handling food wore his/her mask over both mouth and nose (many covered their mouths, but none covered their noses!). I asked the woman who was packing all the food bags three times to please cover both her mouth and nose and requested to speak to a manager. She mumbled something unintelligible and though I waited at the counter for a few minutes, a manager never showed up in order to share my concerns. Just left 5 guys at Cedar and Warrensville. The cook never once pulled his mask over his nose. THE COOK. He might as well not have had one on. I used the online ordering to order a lettuce wrapped burger, a little cheese and 2 orders of fries. The app said that our order would be ready in 8 minutes. When we arrived, they were putting the finishing touches on it. The burgers were fresh and the fries were just the right crispness. Just spent $50 on an order that was incorrect. Not sure why they make you bother filling out an extensive list of exactly what you do and do not want on your burger if they intend to completely ignore that list. I would like to say thank you to Dan the manager at Five Guys Burgers and Fries in South Euclid. In response to my recent complaint Dan called me at home and reassured me about their food processes. He was very nice and very apologetic about what happened to us. He also personally came to my home to deliver a gift card to us so that we would come back as customers. He went above and beyond! I thought that was extremely great customer service and I appreciated it. I'm still on the fence as to if I'm going to go back to eat there and thats just the honest truth , I may give the gift card away, not sure yet. This is the only Five Guys location I've ever visited with any regularity. I come here only when I'm hankering for a burger (and they ARE good burgers), but this is by no means a default food stop for me. The amount of food you get for the price you pay is easily outclassed by Chipotle, which happens to be right next door. The wait time is actually considerable; I wouldn't call Five Guys "fast food". That's not really a bad thing, since true fast food burgers are disgusting. Nevertheless, be aware that you could be waiting 15 minutes for your food, though you might not even notice as you ravenously eat their abundant supply of complimentary peanuts. The decor is awful. After all the hype we went to the new Shake Shack and ended up regretting it... hands down five guys is far better! Five guys fries are fresh not frozen crinkle cut that we can buy in the grocery...the burgers are made fresh - the shacks burgers were lined up ready to go .... and the shakes at five guys were much better and you don't charge an extra 50 cents for whip cream. You ever walk into a Five Guys and feel totally unwelcome and actually scared for your life? Yeah me either until my boyfriend and I came to this location last night. It was late, 10 minutes until close, but this place was still rockin' with people in line ordering food, and at least 3 tables of people waiting for their food. We were certainly apprehensive as it was late and to be perfectly honest, we really would not have minded AT ALL if an employee said, sorry but we cannot take your order as we're trying to close down. I get it, I've worked in the food industry before and I know how it can be frustrating when people walk in late. But they were technically still open, and plenty of burgers were on the grill and plenty of people ordering food. Did anyone say anything to us? No of course not. Instead we got this punk ass employee who was working the grill staring daggers at us!! Seriously, if looks could kill we'd be dead for sure. No exaggeration and he did not stop even when I stared back. No shame. From the time we walked in to the second we walked out the door, this dude looked like he wanted to murder us. I have never felt so uncomfortable in my entire life. If it wasn't for the fact that Five Guys burgers are so good, we would have bounced out of there for sure. I cannot express how rude and unprofessional these employees were, specifically the one. I am very disappointed and if I was this store's manager I'd seriously revamp the hiring process as this store is a disgrace to the chain itself. Best place for a cheap burger! Their food is amazing. There's like a dozen of toppings to choose from. All their burgers are well done but they are so juicy. They Lao have a choice of Cajun fries if you like things a bit more spicy and flavorful. Also, they have tons of milkshake flavors and you can even blend the flavors together. Also if you don't like burgers they have vegetarian options. They also have complimentary peanuts. I wouldn't go there if you have a peanut allergy because they cook everything in peanut oil. Definitely one of the better Five Guys I have been to. If I was forced to say something negative about this particular restaurant, I would only say that it gets slightly busy at peak hours. But I would still argue that the food is prepared pretty quickly. The employees and managers are super friendly. If you become a regular with a consistent order pattern, they will likely remember you and start prepping your order when they see you walk through the door. read more
