Our food came out in a moderate amount of time, and the presentation was kinda eh. Our burgers were smashed down, bun and all and very messy, but the flavor was good! I ordered the veggie burger with mustard, onions, pickles, lettuce, tomato, ketchup and cajun seasoning. We are from out of town and decided to try this local drive thru. We ordered their no. 1 Galley boy burg with sides of onion rings and teezers. I love the teezers but the burger was a very big disappointed for me. For some reason our burger came with a bbq sauce in it which made the burgers very very sweet. It wasn't our idea of burgers. I haven't visited Swensons in probably 3-4 years (#healthkick) but I wanted to try their collaboration with fancy restaurant, Cordelia, before it left at the end of June 2025. So I sat in my car and waited a few minutes until I was ready to order the Cordelia pimento double cheeseburger ($8) and the special milkshake, Peach Cobbler ($5 for the small). After about 10 minutes, I received my order, noticing my milkshake was a bit too melty for my liking. I rarely get junk food so I do like everything to be perfect when I do indulge! It was yummy with nice peach chunks mixed in and a graham cracker pie crumble on top. But it wasn't nearly perfect enough to warrant 5 dollars amd probably 500 calories. I ate the whole shake in the car. Once I got home about 30 minutes later, I dug into the Cordelia collaboration burger. This was not worth 8 dollars. Too expensive for basically a double cheeseburger with a couple unique pickles and pimento cheese. The meat on it was great though. A good dinner but it should have been 5 or 6 bucks. Second time ordering at this location, but first time ordering through DoorDash for delivery - definitely would recommend driving yourself there and getting the burger at Swenson's as it was fresher and more pimento cheese on burger when we went to order ourselves (not sure if DoorDash has their down window/process at Swenson's compared to the regular process - which is driving into the parking lot and the staff will run to you to get your order, pay, and bring you food directly to your car). Came for the Cordelia/Swenson collab for month of June - highly recommend trying the Swenson Pimento Burger, Amazing value for getting Cordelia's homemade pimento cheese on a Swenson's similar-to-galley-boy-style burger with tartar sauce and kool-aid pickles. It should be juicy, and the perfect balance of savory, cheesy and acidic, but this delivery order seemed lackluster on that. I would say the pimento cheese and saltine crackers are not as worth the value because the pimento cheese cup is so small (like a cup for condiments) and the saltine crackers are literally the same crackers you get for free at the hospital. Swensons X Cordelia collab is all over IG. Menu items launched on June 1 and the menu goes through June! The pair is serving items inspired by each other - food and drinks! I'll review the collab and overall experience. My order the following (all seasonal/collab items): - Peach Cobbler Milkshake - SO GOOD! Out of this world delicious! This is vanilla shake blended with peach pie filling and streusel. Whipped cream and streusel crumble sit atop this milkshake. The milkshake is less dense than most. That's if you compare it to Swensons milkshakes or milkshakes from other establishments. It contains chunks of a fruit as well, maybe orange or some other citrus. It tastes like summer vacation in a cup and the crumble seriously tastes delicious. I ordered a regular milkshake and drank it all in 5 minutes. Peach Whip Lemonade is another option but Swensons employee highly recommended the milkshake. It's $4.59 for a regular size. Try it! - Cordelia Pimento Burger - A new spin on the galley boy that comes with two meat patties, house-made Pimento Cheese, tartar sauce, raw onion, Kool-Aid pickles, and Kool-Aid Olive on top. I got so excited that I ordered 2! The default price was $7.99, one could customize the burger (add or remove ingredients). I like Swensons burgers but this was not a hit for me. It didn't taste as innovative as the marketing made it sound. There are a few clashing spices of pimento and Kool-Aid pickles going on. The pickles have so much dye that they dyed the meat patty! Olive didn't taste the freshest. The pickle somehow made the burger a big watery. It just wasn't "wow." - Pimento & Saltines - Lance Saltines with Cordelia's house-made Pimento Cheese. For $5.99 it really wasn't a good value. Pimento cheese seems to contain some cheese curds or something similar inside. It's the same cheese that you can taste in the specialty burger. The flavor is too cheesy combining the too (and I looove cheese). First you taste all the cheese, then all the spice, which is interesting. It was too spicy for my taste. I would have loved it maybe if it was paired with mini pitas or something more house-made. Paying the original price felt like I'm paying too much for cheese dip. I won't order this snack again. Aside from the specialty items, I like Swensons burgers and milkshakes. You can't go wrong with any items! It's CLE classic! In terms of experiences, here are some highlights: - QR codes with the menu are located at drive-in. They aren't consistently displayed by each corner/vehicle, so it's best to initiate the order online. - Receipt was not sent to my email despite selecting this option. It wasn't a big deal for me, nothing if it is for you. - This is a drive-in only, very easy to get in and out. No seating is available. Despite being located on the busy Cedar Rd, it's fairly easy to get in and out. Can't talk much about ambiance. Last but not least, service today was absolutely great! It's not always the case but today I was very impressed! Swensons employees came out to greet customers instantaneously. An employee came out even before I stopped and was just pulling in to park. They were super courteous, had suggestions, and just provided top notch service! I was amazed! The order was up very quickly despite several customers in line. Not your average fast food experience! I went there with my friend for the first time last night and had the best experience ever. Our server Guerrin was so helpful and literally made our night. I got the build your own cheeseburger and my friend got the banana milkshake both were 10 out of 10. That's the only place I'm getting burgers from now on and the customer service truly does set the tone for everything else. So many people these days seem like they just hate what they're doing and would rather not be there --so it always makes me happy to see an employee that actually cares. After I heard Larder is doing a special with Swenson, I wanted to try out. This time, the experience was way better. I got the Larder burger and loaded fries. My boyfriend got fried onions and fried zucchini. Our server recommended to have our onions broken apart and then fried. He was right about that. It was super delicious. The fried zucchini was also good at all. Moving to the main course, the Larder burger was so good. The sour kraut and thousand island dressing went so well with the burger. Everything was perfect. Stopped by Swenson's around 6pm to check out their Pimento Burger collaboration with Cordelia for Cleveland Burger Week. Their service is very unique as they take your order right from your car, and deliver your order straight to your window! Waited around 10 minutes for my burger and shake to come out, and was pleasantly surprised how well the pimento cheese complimented the rest of the burger. Highlight of the meal was definitely the peach cobbler milkshake; the graham cracker crumbles are the perfect touch. How can you not love an old school drive in! We were starving and looking for someplace to grab a quick bite near our hotel and stumbled across this place. Fantastic! Today was the five star Swensons I have missed in the recent past. We had a really crappy day and searched out comfort and true favorite nosh to make it better and man did SWENSONS not disappoint. The meat taste and quality hits different here - it's sweet and delicious-while still being that stick to your bones Galley Boy & Teezers. We had the full crew and our twins are at the double burger, double cheeseburger stage & fries stage - so that is a new family level unlocked. The chicken strips here in the kids favorites is some of the best tasting kids chicken (and all white meat) that if I didn't love the Galley Boy so so SSSSOOOO much I might actually jump ship and order them myself. But it's not, so let's get on with the review. What to get: A Galley Boy! What not to get: Infections or rashes from an Alley Boy. Are you saying you've gotten those: No comment. If it were owned by Nike, it'd be Swooshsons. This Swensons has some issues with service because they just take way too long and are not quite as friendly as some of the other locations. I know that this is a lower-income area, and you feel it when you're hanging out here sometimes, but they should try to provide the same experience if possible. If it were Swiss and told the time, it'd be Swatchsons. Nevertheless my little girl Sammi loved it and of course Barbie adored it as well and she discovered that she loves the vegetarian burger that they have which I never imagined would be good - but it's actually really delicious and juicy and greasy. So not healthy but at least it's vegetarian. If it were owned by pigs, it'd be Swinesons. I'm not the world's biggest fan of fast food-type burgers unless they're made to perfection. Very few are - and Swenson's Galley Boy absolutely is. It may well be the best fast food burger in the world... and many of those who have tried it will agree with me. If it were owned by Michael Phelps, it'd be Swimsons. There are many locations throughout NE Ohio, and I've tried most of them. The service at this location isn't always great, but I come for the food. The burgers here are otherworldly. Make sure you get the Galley Boy, and make sure you eat it while it's piping hot. These things are always served up piping hot, burn-your-mouth-hot, so make sure you take advantage of that the way that one ex took advantage of you two summers ago. If it were in a medical testing facility, it'd be Swabsons. It's basically a melty gooey cheesy saucy burger on what seems to be brioche, with tasty thin-patty meat (double), and something that is sort of like McDonald's Big Mac sauce but much better on it. It comes wrapped in foil with an olive on a toothpick stuck in the top. A delicious green olive, no less. These things are dirt cheap (like, under $3) and hearty. Two of them will fill you up, one is perfect for a snack. If it were owned by muscle dudes and muscle girls, it'd be Swolesons. Or maybe Sweatsons. Drinks are interesting, but hypersweet. Their chocolate shakes are not bad at all. Their "Florida" and "California" drinks are mixtures of all your fave sodas. The Florida is actually pretty good although it gives me a headache from too much HFCS (High Fructose Corn Syrup). They're worth a try, but don't make a habit of it. I like that they are innovative though. Top marks for that. If it were a mouthwash manufacturer, it'd be Swillsons. It's a drive-in. Turn your lights on for service. Turn them off when you don't need service. The service at Swenson's is 50's style, with young adults and tweens running from car to car to take and deliver orders, and yelling out what the orders are as per company policy. Tip them - it can't be easy to run around and yell the way they have to. I'm sure it's a confidence-builder though. If it were a high school where people's heads got stuck in toilet bowls, it'd be Swirliesons. One thing that Swenson's doesn't do well is getting your food out quickly. Sometimes it's speedy as a Gonzalez, but at other times it might be 15 mins for a burger. So be prepared for that, and know that it will be worth the wait. And if it were a place where you go with your significant other to partner swap and watch freaky people getting it on, it'd be Swingersons. It wouldn't make you nervous, if anything you'd be restless, because you've been around and you've seen it all. Then at home you'd get the munchies, but not for twinkies. Instead, you'd want a Galley Boy. And I don't mean an actual boy. Though if you're anything like me, you want that too. Which is yet another thing common you and I both have in common with Tove Lo. read more

Omg.. first time at a Swenson's. My daughter just moved to Ohio and said we had to find a Swensons. I had no idea what it entailed but she said the food was good. First of all, we don't really have drive in's anymore in CA. Sonic is the closest thing. And the best thing about Sonic is their ice. We drove up and the young worker ran out to our car with a menu. He told us to turn on our lights when we were ready. We looked at the menu and I seriously couldn't decide what to get. I didn't want a burger even though that's their thing. I couldn't decide between the Sloppy Joe and the bologna sandwich. Both were so inexpensive I could have ordered both and ate half of each but I didn't. I got the sloppy joe and onion rings. So glad I did because that sloppy joe was the best I've ever had. And I've been eating sloppy joe's since I was a kid. Onion rings were really good too. My daughter and husband had the burgers, fries, and potato teezers, a yummy potato, cheese, jalapeño concoction. They enjoyed everything. We all did. Swenson's is my favorite part of Cleveland. Our family goes every time we are home. I got their kids chicken tenders, and they could feed me twice! The milkshakes, however, are our favorite! My family was in the area running an errand when one of us had a specific craving for Swensons. We were hesitant about stopping because of the pandemic, but when we arrived, it was so refreshing to see that Swensons had already blocked cars to be 6 feet apart. I appreciate that they are taking this seriously and hope they will continue to. As always, the kids who take your order by running to your car (lights on for service) are friendly, efficient and working hard. I appreciated that they were all using facemasks and abiding by health standards. Our server was Chase and he was patient as we made our decisions.
