Wow - the restaurant really doesn't look like much from the outside, but holy cow those burgers are good!! I love that they are basic, fresh ingredients. The beef patties taste like they came off the home grill. We have gone twice now. We live in North Surrey and drive to the south Surrey location. Each time the burgers have been perfection. I have been going their for awhile for burger patties and before I would have no problem ordering just the patties but recently every time I go their is an argument over my order!!!! I use to order two patties with lettuce and was never an issue but since the general manager has been their I have received a lot of problems with my order. Few months ago she was heard yelling at her staff for it and I called head office to complain who did nothing, and just said "oh okay thanks for your feedback". They have great patties/burgers but this location is in need of better management, I'm a paying customer and when the general manager says your wrong and proceeds to snap at her staff, is flat out WRONG!!!! read more

Placed a pick-up order on the phone. I arrive and try to pay for my meal in cash, and am then told that they are not accepting cash (isn't that illegal?). Let me start by saying the girl at the front, was very sweet and friendly. Great customer service. However the burger did not taste very fresh once I took it home and ate it. (About 10 min) The way the burgers are wrapped in foil keeps them quite hot which is typically a good thing, however the lettuce and bun gets very soggy. I would recommend eating in here rather than taking out. I think they should pack up burgers differently for take out. The fries were great and a giant portion. Pretty good, but I'd eat in next time to maintain quality. read more

The fries were perfect but geez the twin patties were really dry, there was hardly any BBQ sauce on it and had to go ask for some more on the side. I really enjoy taking the kids here, the burgers are yummy and if my children make a mess I don't feel self conscious. They also have a big bin of peanuts so you can snack on those and throw the shells on the floor while you wait, another fun activity for the kids. For a fast food burger joint, the food is great. My family have been here many times. Really, the little burgers are enough. We usually only order one fries and then share because the quantity of fries is so much. On our last visit, we were really disappointed because the amount of fries we got was only about half of what we have gotten before even though we ordered one size up. The food was delicious but given that we paid $23.00 dollars for two burgers, one regular drink and one regular fries, we were left feeling it wasn't really worth the money. It might be just this location that has downsized its portions. Also, pre-COVID, customers could help themselves to peanuts while waiting for their orders. We understand that now customers helping themselves to peanuts doesn't work, but can't the staff hand-out servings of peanuts? This was really a neat reason to go to Five Guys, something that separated them, and, let's face it, something which justified the extra cost of eating here. Where to begin? All I can say, is this franchise must have sold to a new owner since it opened, or the owner is not actively working in the restaurant. Rock hard, stale, hot dog bun. My cheese burger had a bun so wet and soggy it fell apart. The cheese was cold and in it's unmelted, hard state. ( processed cheese! ) Another cheeseburger had items on it not ordered as well as un-grilled onions, when they were to be grilled. I wondered why there were tables with half eaten food and no patrons....I now see people walked out and left their uneaten burgers in protest. We did the same...but threw them out respectfully. Ordered from Skip the Dishes. I am vegetarian and ordered the veggie sandwich. When it arrived it was a regular beef burger. I called Five Guys and was told by the Mgr there was nothing they can do. I was then told that the veggies were cooked with the meat in the restaurant anyways and that we could get a free burger next time we went into the actual restaurant. Bar none best burger and fries I've ever had outside of the BBQ burgers I prepare myself. Their burgers are huge so unless ur really really hungry stick to 1 patty cause 2 patties and fries will feed a normal person twice. This is not the standard fast food burger we're all so use to, their food is of the highest quality and the burger patties are made fresh each morning so no frozen patties here. The choices you have for toppings is endless, they even give u your choice of sauces which consisted of bbq, A1, ketchup and one other sauce that now escapes me but I found this to be a great option. Their fries are chloresteral free and there is no equal as far as taste and portion size goes, a regular side of fries will feed 2 easy, I'm 6'2 and 200 lbs and I couldn't come close to eating their reg portion with a burger. The decor and theme is racing with the most common detail being red and white checkered flags which cover the walls, counters and just about everywhere else you look, it's the perfect place to take your hockey or baseball team although depending on how much u like the person or people joining you going Dutch would be the smart move. The typical meal I found was an average price of about $15.00 with a drink which again was worth every penny and then some. If you're a burger lover you won't go wrong with this place, I had one friend ask me how it compared with "Fat Burger" and my response was a simple "it doesn't" in any way yet the pricing is on par. Not sure where others who have given this place glowing reviews ate, was it the same place? To start off with, you walk in and right smack dab in the middle are stacks of potato bags and some peanuts still in their shells, ok i understand the peanuts are for chomping on while you wait, but cant the bags of potatoes be put somewhere more sanitary than on a skid in the middle of the floor when you walk in? The menu is cryptic, not telling you what is what, if you want a regular hamburger you have to order the effeminate sounding little cheeseburger. What with north americas obesity crisis and the fact that the 'little cheeseburger' is the size of a decent hamburger anywhere else,it seems unnecessary. Once you figure out the sizing and overcome the shame of ordering a 'little cheeseburger"-hey its not the size of the burger but what you do with it! you then have to specify each and every topping, so you have to have your thinking cap on and know what you want. Then they tease you with fries and 3 different sizes, small medium and large, ok i get that, i wasn't publicly shamed with ordering micro fries or something humiliating like. Then you wait, 8 minutes they said, seemed like 5 so that's always nice, you get a brown bag of food with your number on it. The first sign of trouble was the grease oozing through the paper bag a sure sign of a delicious american diet. Open the bag up to find its contents buried under a mountain of greasy fries, it would nice if they were good fries but these were soggy and limp, i suppose to go along with my 'small cheeseburger'. The burger is wrapped in plain jane aluminum foil to give the appearance of something home made that cost 10x more and it was good, not great, have had better at places like In-n Out etc but nothing to die for. The meat was properly cooked and the burger was hot. The fries were borderline awful, only the smallest sliver fries being edible and not barfworthy. The thing that stood out is all the ads on the wall from people with glowing reviews, good thing as i would never know their food was that good by simply eating it.
