Here celebrating 4th of July but hostess didn't seem to want to find us a table. Finally got a bar seat and a beer to celebrate my culture.

Hostess didn't seem to want to find us a table but we found a bar seat. Will review food after I get it.

The street view entrance

Nice local joint and a great spot if you need a meal stop before/after crossing the border - pretty cool location in that regard. Located near the beautiful Semiahmoo/Birch Bay area, make sure to explore that beauty, too. Super friendly staff, attentive, quick, and accurate. We went on a night where they had a burger special so pricing was great. Tasty food, lots of brews on tap...what more could you want?

My only complaint was that the tap water tasted fishy. Other than that, I enjoyed sidewinder fries as something new. My oldest son enjoyed his poutine and the little one enjoyed his kids meal burger and I loved that it was only $9. Husband and I also enjoyed our food - Salisbury steak bowl and a pulled pork 'nwich for me. Reminded me of the kind of pulled pork sandwich you get from Costco in California. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Used the bathroom downstairs by the exit to the parking lot. It was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service from Caitlin was great.

Speakeasy below Gateway . Great drinks, food, service and ambiance. The servers were super friendly, the decor was dark and moody! Made to feel like you were in a true speakeasy. Looking forward to check out their newest drinks since my last visit

Stopped in on a whim for dinner. Wow, they had so many options as we had some picky eaters with us. This place was great. We wanted some beer and ciders, before selecting they gave us mini glasses to try them. I had the One Tree Lemon Basil cider and it was delicious! Our server was so kind, she talked about the ciders with me and she even suggested the lemon basil one. I ordered the chicken and bacon ceasar wrap w/ fries. The others got the mushroom, Swiss burger; chicken schnitzel; and the chicken breast bowl. All of the food was absolutely delicious. Of course we had dessert, they had 3 to choose from. We got the brownie with ice cream it was the perfect size as we didn't have much room left for dessert but wanted to try it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everything from the atmosphere, service and food was great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When we are back in the area this will definitely be one of our go to spots! Highly recommend as they have a little something for everyone!

Impressed with the gal on the phone to order takeout; very friendly & accommodating. Sure would've been a 5* if we didn't have to return since missing 2 items when we got home. Delicious generous choices we made as the pics show. Will definitely will return!

We happened to see the sandwich board outside the place advertising their Thursday special. $10 burger. That seemed like a good deal to try the food here. So we decided to stop here for dinner. The promo was from 4 pm to 8 pm Thursday for the basic burger which came with American cheese and fries. It was also loaded with lettuce. You could add on other stuff which I didn't realize till later when the server brought us someone else's order which had onions and bacon. That sounded yummy. The basic burger was still good. Can't go wrong with it. The fries was also good. I liked the portion as it was not a lot but that meant I could actually finish it. For a special, it is not needed to purchase a drink. That is quite a big deal as I do not really drink beer and most places do a beer and burger special. They have many types of beer on tap. And there are signs which boast their fish and chips are the best in Blaine. You do see many tables ordered that. They also have specials for seniors on fish and chips Monday to Thursday. Parking is available on the street or behind it.

C and I came here for dinner on a Thursday night. They have a $10 burger special that comes with fries every Thursday between 4 and 8 pm. There are plenty of free parking at the back and a few parking spots on the side of the restaurant. We each got the $10 burger special. The burger was very basic but all the ingredients were very fresh. It came with a slice of cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and a dab of sauce. There were a few bits of pieces of cartilage in my beef patty. Service was not too bad. When we arrived at 5 pm, the restaurant was very packed. Most people ordered the $10 special burger or the fish and chips. They claim that their fish and chips are the best in town. The ambiance and decor is nice here. It features the uniqueness of USA highways signage, gas stations and a mix of the beer that they serves by having he keg spouts on the wall (no you can't pour yourself beer from the wall). They have a lot of beer options. At first I thought they make their in house beer and apparently that is not the case. No they don't do off sales. We did have to wait for a while for the food to come but no complains on that because we were not in a hurry anyways. Plus I was not that hungry to begin with. I really enjoyed the meal. I think we will be back some time in the future but just don't know when.

Gross. Two stars is being generous. Skip the processed food here and drive to Tsawwassen for decent pub or bar food.

I heard about this place on a podcast (ITM) and wanted to go to a celebratory dinner somewhere new…read more The drive to Blaine was super easy, the location is convenient, and there is ample parking. There is definitely at least one back room, but the main dining room is a bright, airy space that has access to a patio where may even be some live music playing. The tables are gorgeous - all live edge, which might create a bit of an issue if you have short arms and are used to stealing bites across the table, but they are absolutely beautiful and a nice nod to the area. The wine list is extensive and a bit overwhelming, but the service is happy, friendly, and very knowledgeable. In fact, I love when servers don't know, admit it, and find the answer for you - it's humble and shows they really care at getting you what you want. We got the orange wine, which is a new favorite of mine. It's like a rose for reds. Rose:White::Orange:Red. More savory, still light, and best chilled. We had the beet hummus app, which is definitely best eaten with your hands. It's light and delicious. We had the miso black cod, a personal favorite, and the lasagna for dinner and while both were good, the accoutrements with the cod were the true standout. Amazing and I could probably eat two of them. As the restaurant operates on a seasonal menu, we had a strawberry rhubarb cobbler for dessert. I know there is Sunday Brunch, and I can't wait to try it. It's not the cheapest, but it's one of the nicer restaurants in Whatcom, and is definitely worth your pennies. Everything about it makes for a truly nice experience, and we'll definitely be back.

The bread was a bit tough, but may have been over toasted. Really loved the butter with bits of shallot. It was really delish and the service was friendly. Will definitely be back!

The restaurant is by the 18th hole of the golf course, a great location. We had the option to pick from a indoor and outdoor table, we chose to sit outside on a great day. They have umbrellas that make it comfortable to sit out in the setting sun. We got the soup of the day, Wild Halibut and Saffron Risotto, and Bucatini & Clams. We liked the soup, both the Wild Halibut and Saffron Risotto and Bucatini & Clams were both great. We loved them both. I also enjoyed a Raspberry Whiff. We finished with Chai Creme Brulee. It was great, a lovely end to our meal.

I was really disappointed that they only did brunch 1 day a week, but we did come back for it. Service every time was wonderful. The appetizer was bruschetta which is a go-to for me. It was delicious, however the balsamic was really thick and there probably shouldn't have been so much. I did happily eat it all. For the dinner we had scallop with red pepper risotto and mushroom pierogis. The scallops were big and perfectly cooked. The red pepper risotto however was a little overwhelming in the red pepper flavor. My husband thought it was delicious and ate it. The pierogis seemed really underwhelming and store bought. It was cheese pierogis with mushroom and arugula on the outside. I feel like if they were made in-house, the mushroom would be on the inside. They were still really good and I ate them all as well. The brunch is the thing I waited for. The lemon ricotta pancakes were to die for! They were so perfectly soft and cakey. I sadly couldn't eat them all because they were so large so I recommend sharing. Those were definitely the star of the show. I don't plan to come back to this area but if I do I would 100% come here again for the brunch. The dinner menu does change by season so I recommend looking at the menu online.
