I'm not a huge fan of fast food. I don't find myself eating many burgers. However, I still love getting Five Guys a few times a year. The burgers are made to order, which is why I suggest using the app. It's so easy to choose your toppings without the stress of forgetting one when it's your turn at the register. My go to order is the little cheeseburger. Little isn't little by any means though. That thing fills me up and I always have leftover fries. They are extremely generous with their fry portions. I love the kick that the cajun fries have. This location is close to my house so when the craving hits- I head here (or get it delivered). My most recent visit was during COVID-19 times and the experience was great. I ordered on the app, called when I arrived, and my food was out in minutes! No need to get out of my car.

Pretty easy 4 star on this first visit and other Yelpers nailed it. Everything was pretty much text book great! Location is Hilltop West which is confusing on this corner. It's directly faces Laskin frontage road on the East side of First Colonial. Surface parking is directly in front and was tidy as was walk up to their door. The store looks like all the others, so nothing special but that's ok. My visit on a weekday around 1 PM. The dining room was empty and spotless clean. We planned on eating in so happy to see it was clean. I also utilized the Men's room in the rear which had proper supplies and immaculate. The automatic towel machine was huge, interesting. Good for not having to refill often. The cashier greeted my son and I walking in and took our burger orders with fries. We asked for the fries to be crispy. Drinks was courtesy water. She was upbeat and friendly. The $23 transaction was processed flawlessly. It's pricey. The cheese burgers tasted really good and fries were made to my specifications. The burgers also were made correctly. Five Guys never freezes their meat and it's a quality product. The bread was also fresh. This is the best Virginia Beach Five Guys I've dined at and will make a point to return.

Love me a good burger and fries!! This restaurant serves up a good burger and hand cut fries. The burgers are made to order and you can choose all the toppings you want. I ordered the little cheeseburger protein style (no buns) so it was wrapped in lettuce and I added more veggies in. The kids ordered a hotdog and we also got large fries and shakes to go with the rest of the order. The fries are fresh and hand cut and they give you a lot so it's enough to share with a bunch of people. Staff here was friendly and the inside itself was clean with lots of tables to eat. They have lots of locations so you can be sure there's one near you.

Online ordering is slow. Slower than actually ordering once you arrive. My order was supposed to be ready 625. Over 15 min later. No food!

Mmmmmmmm who doesn't love a good burger. Silly me I added an extra patty on an already double cheese-bacon-burger.. three patties were huge for me! Bacon could've been less crispy borderline burnt, just my preference. Five guys never disappoints.

So this review has only to do with their "Veggie" sandwich. I thought I would cut some calories when I was with others at Five Guys. Unfortunately, I thought that the "Veggie" was actually a veggie burger. It's my own fault for not reading the little caption underneath, but when I got my "sandwich" or whatever you want to call it, I was extremely disappointed. Everyone around me was eating such great-looking food, and I got this skimpy looking thing with just sauteed mushrooms, sauteed onions, some lettuce, and tomatoes, on a toasted bun. Adding cheese would have made it 100% more tolerable, but also 100% more fattening. So oh well. I would not recommend this to other vegetarians looking for a good meal at a fast-food place. One perk though is that it is only $2.69 I gave the actual location 4 stars, because they did an awesome job with my friend's burgers and they were amazingly friendly. #YEFit2015

It's one of the few old school Hot Dog Shops that still feature the iconic Norfolk Dog. The spot closes at 3pm each day. There was plenty of time to stop. The location is on Azalea Garden Road about 2 blocks north of Princess Anne Road. Don't expect a picturesque spot. This building is located in the midst of warehouses, car repair shops & such. Lew's was obviously packed with people wanting those few last days of the wonderful Norfolk Dogs. Parking was around the front & side of the shop & on the street. Even the "no parking" area was filled. We stepped directly into an earlier time. And I loved it. Seating was mainly around the counter. I would have loved to have eaten there. But we had just had donuts in Ghent. So we ordered at the cramped takeout counter, The cook, who I suspect was the owner's wife, cooked on a small grill near the front window. A young man took the orders, writing each takeout order on a paper bag for the cook. The proprietor busily did everything. He was personable & funny. He had his rules, just like his long gone competitors, We sat at the counter and talked to a customer who had driven down from Arlington. He obviously knew the place well as the owner bantered with him. When our order was ready we left, a little sad that we couldn't stay and eat. It had been so much fun. The Norfolk Dogs were wonderful. They're snap dogs, customarily served only with mustard, chili & onions. Lew's did allow other condiments added, even serving French fries. You could get thrown out of some of his former competitors for asking for catsup or potato chips. There must be a return before they close. I want to sit and eat at the counter. I want to come out with that familiar smell of onions in my hair. By the way, they're still open to selling the shop. It comes with the secret recipe for their chili sauce. Norfolk Dog lovers need this eatery to remain open. Don't let them be lost to time.

On the way home from the Yelp Event at O's Donuts, I remembered Lew's was closing this weekend. Luckily Lew's was right on our way home so we decided to stop and get orders to go. We walked in to a packed house and lots of others placing orders to go. Cash only signs were posted in several places so I was prepared when it was my turn to order and pay. Everyone was friendly and greeted each other and engaged in conversation. I felt like I had stepped back in time to a kinder, gentler place. I'm very sad that we are losing another piece of Norfolk history. The hotdogs were just as good as I remembered, as well as their French fries. One thing that caught my attention as we waited was the stools at the counter. This old Norfolk girl immediately said to my Friend, "these aren't stools, they are chairs with backs on them just like the lunch counters in Peoples Drug Store and Woolworth's when I was a kid." Loved this little walk down memory lane today. Happy retirement Lew, You will be missed.

I ordered the Sunrise Burger, subbing hot honey for the mayo and oh-mah-gawsh that was an excellent decision. (The burgers are a little on the smaller side, but I found it to be the perfect size.) I told my husband that the onion rings were some of the best I've ever had. Kyle was our server, and he was incredible--attentive despite being a little overwhelmed. So when one of the Homies told me about this place I was all in because - burgers - what's not to love. Barrel 17 did not disappoint; when i got there i realized quickly i was the last to know because it was busy. We had about a 10 minute wait to be seated but that was cut short by option to sit at the bar. The bartender was working like she had six arms. It was non stop; attentive, taking orders, making drinks, checking back with others, she was truly impressive. The places was jumping; it was busy, casual and didn't slow down from the time we arrived until we left. Parking is challenging, there's a small lot beside the restaurant and a small lot behind it so if you can car pool you'll benefit yourselves. Now on to the star of the show - the food! The only knock I had was portion size. In a big guy with an even bigger appetite and when i left there i could've eaten my whole meal over again lol. But that's also because it was delicious. I got the mac n cheese starter, the Beast Burger, tater tots , and the biggest slice of chocolate cake I've ever had. Literally the biggest slice of cake ever- twice the size of my burger. Everything was delicious, from start to finish and if i were a person that had a normal appetite i would've left full like my friends did. Will definitely be back!

I walked in on 12/3/25 with excitement and anticipation. Boujiee is a tiny place - they could easily be mistaken for a simple bar. Their interior, though, looks modern, organized and clean. Plus, it's well-lit, so it definitely doesn't have that dark look and feel of a bar. Upon entry, a server quickly greeted me and told me I could sit anywhere. She was kind and helpful, and immediately knew it was my first visit. When I confirmed that notion, she proceeded to give me a rundown of the entire menu. She didn't have to do that, but I felt like ordering everything afterwards because everything sounded amazing, haha. I settled on a soda (which they sell in bottles), a couple of bottled beers, the Dougie Fair Dog and Corned Beef Fries. Boujiee's glizzys are meals - each item on their menu is full of ingredients and toppings. Normally, I can devour 2 hot dogs in a single sitting, but at Boujiee you better be hungry to finish off 2 or more. The Dougie Fair includes spicy Polish sausage, grilled peppers, onions, melted cheddar and mustard, all on a hoagie bun. Dougie had some kick, so it wasn't super spicy, but I definitely enjoyed this item. I also had the Corned Beef Fries (crinkle fries, corned beef hash, cheddar, fried egg) which was as hearty as it was delicious. I was barely able to finish them both, but they were so good I almost had to. Based on this visit alone, Boujiee Dogs is a five-star food spot. Along with the impeccable service, this may become a part of my food spot rotation. I look forward to many future visits. Thank you, Boujiee Dogs! JV
