Our first impression was bad. We walked to the counter and the first person we see is a girl sitting on a metal shelf close the floor facing the cash register on her phone. She never moved or looked up. With my focus on the sitting girl, I am not aware if the cashier, when she showed up, greated us or not. Went to get our drinks and it looked like closing time. The unsweet tea had no lid. There was no sweet tea. The soda dispenser had no grates to hold your cup. We spotted these items sitting on the rail near the unsweet tea. Our food was ready in a timely manner and hot. Problem: NO condiment serving utensils! The cheese was in a metal prep pan covered with foil. When we asked for some cheese some was scooped out for us and covered it back. The girl who was just sitting on her phone came out looked around and told the front of the house guy, who we learned is the "Table Buser", to watch the tea now being made and add sugar. Then what appeared to be the manager came out looked around and asked the same guy more questions (could not hear) Now mind you this wonderful front of the house guy was running around doing everything by himself! He was the only one that seemed concerned and most helpful. HE NEEDS A RAISE! We told him thank you for being the best worker there. Our 8 year even noticed he was the only one we saw doing anything and also thanked him. The guy told us he is technically the "Table Buser". Believe it or not I have never been to a Fuddruckers. I heard good things but then my mom and sister went and they didn't like it so I was hesitate. But I went and I am glad I did. Plenty of parking and also very family friendly with all sorts of electronic games, fun atmosphere and booster seats for kids. My order was to go and there was no line. I ordered the 1/3 lb burger and a hamburger kids meal. I wanted a salad but found them to be a little too expensive and they didn't have a side salad but they had a caeser salad. They give you a pager and you wait. It's serve yourself drinks and they have a condiment/topping bar for your burgers. Everything looked very fresh and plenty of options including diced onion AND sliced onion. Got my food in reasonable time and they gave me a separate box for the toppings. I brought the food to my moms and she commented that it was still hot and she ate it and liked it. I liked mine so much that I did not even take a picture. I would definitely go back. I miss having Fuddrucker's near where I live. After completing a ten mile race in Virginia Beach, a big burger was the way to go. I came with a friend of mine and we both loaded up. I went for the 2/3 pounder with American cheese and grilled onions. It was cooked medium, as I asked. The fixins bar was loaded with condiments, which just adds to the experience. I ordered the following: Turkey Burger Wedge Fries Fries and Rings Sweet Potato Fries My food arrived within 30 minutes. My Turkey burger was cool and lacked any flavor at all. My Wedge-Cut fries lacked any seasoning, and the portions were small. My Fries and Rings were not evenly balanced. I received more cold and tough chewing onion rings than I did fries. All lack any flavor or seasoning. My wife's Sweet Potato Fries were stale and old-tasting. After spending over $50 on this meal, this is truly unacceptable. This place is underrated and under appreciated. The burgers are fantastic. They are always juicy and flavorful. You can top them yourself however you want. The buns and cookies are baked fresh in house. This small attention to detail really separates this place from your average burger place. It's kid friendly, there's some games for kids to play and they have an affordable kids menu. Speaking of affordability it is considerably less for a family of 4 to eat 4 meals here than it is at Five Guys. So next time you want 5 guys save yourself some dollars and come have a better experience. The counter staff is friendly and accurate with the orders. Never had a problem there. It's mostly self service but they do have two incredibly friendly workers who will refill your drinks or get you a box or anything else you might need. They are always checking to make sure we have what we need and they are personable and friendly. The floor staff really goes the extra mile. The owners of this franchise are clearly committed to success so come down and support this locally owned franchise so it can stay here for many years. The last time i had Fuddruckers was i guess a long time ago when it was at Pembroke so pretty long time lol even though i know there was one in Norfolk after that I didn't go but this location is right by my house and last year I couldn't make it i went on a monday and it was closed so today i went this year for a couple of things I ordered to go got the lamb burger medium well it just looks well done. That is ok because it is delicious. Getting my order was nice and helpful. Asking for take out boxes and giving me ones to get toppings at the salad bar was nice. I got some waiting time was fine I was in no rush. the burger was huge and it made me totally full. I thought inside was clean and pretty neat. You order at a counter like McDonalds. They give you a buzzer that notifies you when your food is ready and then you come and get it. We did have a busser who was very friendly, but that was the closest thing to a server. That said, I loved the place. Food is amazing for those burger lovers! This new location is clean and an upgrade from when they used to have one back in the day at virginia beach blvd. The restrooms said a lot about this place. That they are clean! Paper towels available on the table, clean stations, tables and condiment area and counters. The kids were mesmerized by their mini arcade full of lights. This is great for family fun. The price isn't obsurd for our family of 6. The kids meal is nearly equivalent to the regular size burger. The exotic burgers are a plus for a change like the elk and venison and the salads work well for vegetarians. When it comes to your burger, the option of having to customize my toppings are a favorite. I just loved my bleu cheese, mushroom, burger. The best part for my family is that they have condiments and everything you could name to dress your burger to your liking. For the kids it makes it easy for them to pick and choose and for those people who are picky eaters.. the hamburger comes plain. I love the fuddruckers sauce, the pico de gallo with jalapeño melted cheese are great dipping sauces for the fries. We sat outside because we had our furby come with us to dine in their patio. They conveniently placed their dog bowls for people that have dogs. They made sure we had a clean bowl with water for our Furby. The service at Fuddruckers was impressive of how everyone was very friendly. They took good care of our family. When the kids went up to the counter to get their cookies and the lady in the counter happily showed the kids their options. This Fuddruckers has recently opened along General Booth Blvd. It is the same location where Jake's BBQ used to be a few years ago until the owners retired from the business. In that time, there were different signs of places that would be coming in. I was glad when it was finally going to be a Fuddruckers. On the opposite side of Edison Rd. is Lidl for frame of reference. My first visit here was on February 4, 2022. When coming up tp to the place, it was around 3:15 pm, so it wasn't busy at all. My mom and I were the only ones in there, but shortly after ordering, a bit of a "rush" came in. On this visit, I ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with pepper jack cheese as a combo with onion rings. My mom was with me too, and she got the half pound burger with American cheese and bacon with wedge cut fries; there is a toppings bar where you add on other items such as lettuce, tomato, onions, and pico de gallo. The sodas here are Coca Cola sodas. We had a set of coupons from the Valpak mailer, so we used a $5 off coupon too. Since the place wasn't so busy at first, I took some time to take photos of the place inside, which will be included with this review. The inside was typical of a Fuddruckers and there were plenty of tables in there. They also have some arcade games inside as well. On the outside, I do see an area where some outdoor seating will eventually be available as well. As noted above, it started to get a bit busier after we had ordered. After taking some pictures of the place, we waited for the pager to light up for our food to be ready for pickup. We kept waiting and waiting. Orders from those that came in after us were getting their orders before us, so I don't know why it took so long for our order to be ready. It was about 15 minutes after ordering when the order was ready. When we got the order, everything was nice and hot though. I had to go back up there as for mine, they gave me the wedge cut fries instead of the onion rings I ordered. They got the onion rings for me right away and got back to the table. Then, I went up to the toppings bar to get toppings for the chicken sandwich. I ended up going with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pico de gallo. I always like to have a bit of a kick to what I eat when I can. My mom had the burger. She said the burger was good, but definitely cooked more than medium as ordered. Next time she said she would go medium rare instead. Overall, this was a very good first experience here. They do have servers here that will help you if you need anything. Ours came over a few times to check on us to make sure we didn't need anything. At one point when we were nearly done, one of the managers came over and asked how things were as well. My mom didn't want to address the burger overcooked issue, so it was never brought up at that time. I know some are still learning the ropes since they only opened recently. As a tip, if you have any of the Fuddruckers coupons for the Tidewater Dr. location in Norfolk, you can use those here at this location as well. Last weekend, on an impromptu family dinner.I saw that Fuddruckers was now serving an ostrich burger for a limited time. So my wife suggested we go and see if this location is the same thing we remember from the past. If you have ever been to a Fuddruckers in your life, nothing has really changed. We did have to wait a little bit longer than I expected for our burgers, but The wait was worth it. I did not take a picture because a presentation was rather blah. And to be honest, the highlight of our headwaiter/busboy Fredrick. He was super friendly and willing to help us with anything. The rest of the staff seemed like all they wanted to do was hurry up and get out there. We got there about an hour before closing time, and they were already cleaning up. For example, the cheese sauce was no longer in the warmer. It was in a container next to the warmer. So it was very clumpy. There was ketchup, mustard, and mayo on the counters. There were no cups for us to put condiments in. Based on the presentation of the store, I would not return. However , I will be going back because the burger was that good!!!! So yes, please give this place a try but definitely go during earlier hours. I would have given it 5 stars if the counters were clean and I had everything I needed. read more

I finally made it to this new location and very convienent being we live less than a mile and a half away. It's been easily 20 years since visiting a Fuddruckers which was located in the Pembroke area before it went away. What I remembered was the chicken sandwiches and how you could build it yourself. Well the chicken sandwich didn't dissappoint! The flavor (wife and kids felt it was a bit on the salty side of all the seasonings of everything) was good, the portion size was gigantic and the fries were hot and crispy. For me, it checked the box for a chicken sandwich and probably the only thing I would come back for...that and the Onion Rings which I felt were better than most places around. Now the downside personally for me was mainly the cost of it all with the atmosphere that followed. It has that "family/kids" feel to it with bright lighting offering some "bar" ish vibes such as lots of TV's to watch sports and such with a game room while serving adult beverages but to me, that always feels weird but at the same time, could be awesome for an overall experience being out with the kids and relaxing for a bit with some grub. I prefer to go a different route if I want to kick back with some cold ones and good burgers/sandwiches but the chicken sandwich didn't dissappoint. The burgers are massive as well so for the amount you pay vs what you get, it can justify itself somewhat. For me, the burgers were a basic flavor profile but definitely off of a skillet. I prefer a burger that size and for that amount to come off of a grill. It didn't pop like I wanted and could have gotten that for cheaper at several different places but for the size, if that is what you are looking for, they will take care of that. It all was just "ok" to me and glad we visited but if I am being 100 percent transparent, I would prefer any number of other places especially for a good burger than here with a different vibe as usually when I want a cold one and relax, I prefer a bit more of an adult situation with it. Chicken sandwich and onion rings for sure and something I could possibly order to take home if I am really wanting that. In my opinion, I had a pretty good time, but it was not a near perfect one. The service I got from here was very good, with our server checking on us constantly and making sure our glasses are refilled and we have boxes for our leftovers. When it comes to the environment, it was nice and very family friendly, but I wish it could have an area more centered around adults. When it comes to our food, I ordered both the fish and chips and a boar burger. The fries were decent on both dishes, but they tasted a little bland despite the seasoning. The fish in the fish and chips tasted too sweet for me, and I couldn't even fully finish it. For the wild boar burger, it was really good. The boar burger had a lot of flavor and tasted like a nice beef patty instead of pork. I always thought that boar tasted like pork because they were related to pigs. Boy, I was wrong, and it was a good thing. I honestly hope Fuddruckers and other restaurants can offer other types of meat for their burgers as well. It's a great way to attract more customers. Has been a few months since visiting. Food is always delicious and this visit was no exception. I will say though, the girl taking our order (Kaylee) was not friendly at all and it seemed to be an inconvenience to her having to take our order. Not only was she borderline rude, but she also had a large pocket knife strapped to her belt...like why?? She snapped at my 11yo daughter for touching something on the counter, saying "don't touch that...they are fragile" in a very rude manner, instead of politely asking her not to touch. She's lucky I didn't match her same energy and snap back at her. Because of this one person...we will def be considering other places to eat in the future. read more

My brother and a friend of ours had an enjoyable first time experience at Fuddrucker's. The lady that took our order was patient, kind, and we could tell she was a hard worker. She was losing her voice due to her allergies and still going strong. We reassured her when she apologized... That lady deserved a break to rest her voice and I felt bad when there was a huge rush after us !! The food was pretty good, and we all liked the experience of topping our own burger/sandwiches with the assorted veggies and condiments available to us. It's a fun idea. Unfortunately they were out of ketchup, and none of us really wanted to eat until the ketchup was refilled and it took several minutes. Maybe it wouldn't bother some people, but I can't eat my burger or fries without ketchup, and nether can my friend. We finally sat down to enjoy our meals and I realized that they had supplemented my Beyond Burger with a wheat bun without me asking for it. I guess they assume that picking the vegetarian option means you wanted a "healthier option". Next time I will know to ask for a white bun, as I'm not a big fan of wheat. The burger was cooked correctly, however, and I was happy with my extra mayo, extra lettuce, and extra onion. I love how many dipping sauces were available for my fries. I'm a dipping person so I really enjoyed that. The fries were average but having whatever dip I wanted enhanced the experience. My brother got the crispy buffalo chicken sandwich and fries. He is not very opinionated when it comes to food, but it looked good and he said it was tasty! My friend went with one of the exotics, the venison burger with no fries. I think it's really cool that they have so many meat options. He enjoyed it. The milkshakes were really good!! They gave us the extra shake that wouldn't fit in the glass in the metal cup it was blended in. I loved my Oreo shake. The Oreo bits stayed crunchy. It was really good. If I could give it two and half stars I would. Me and one of my best friends hit them up because it's been a dog's age. One surprise was the teenage mutant ninja turtles pinball in the lobby. It was fun, for 75 cents a play, but i was absolutely awful at it. XD I'm definitely going to play it again on the way out too. If you're not familiar with Fuddruckers, you order at the counter and they'll give you your cup and little pager (the buzzy little devices that tell you your food is ready). You grab a seat and maybe a drink at the soda fountain while waiting for it to go off. Once it does you go grab your food. They have a topping and condiments bar along the way. You can add onions, lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard, all kinds of sauces and veggies to make your burger or chicken sandwich just the way you want. They're pretty good about keeping the veggies and sauces stocked, the veggies also looked inviting as well, nary a wilted piece of lettuce in sight. The two bussers/ maybe waiters? Kept the whole room turned over at lightening speed. One of them introduced himself and did get my friend a couple refills, but I stuck to grabbing my own. He wasn't as consistent as I'd expect an actual waiter to be, but the place was very clean and very tidy, which I appreciated and they were both always doing something while we were there. I ordered chicken strips with sweet potato fries and a side of onion rings. My friend got the 1/2lb works beef burger (I say this because they have things like lamb, ostrich and bison) with sweet potato fries and also a side of onion rings. The food was crispy, major plus. The sweet potato fries were weirdly bland, even with some additional salt. The onion rings were an excellent choice and my favorite food. Crispy, well seasoned and well cooked. Chicken strips were ok, but nothing spectacular. It didn't help they use Heinz for everything and I'm just not a huge fan of their bbq sauce - it's a little tangy and quite savory where I lean towards thick and smokey sweet. My friends medium burger was tasty, had a lot more mushrooms on it than he expected, but was weirdly unevenly cooked. In one part, definitely well done and the other part was definitely rare. It wasn't a middle outer edge thing either, it was nearly split down the middle. Overall he did enjoy it, but next time might get a smaller portion (you can choose from various size patties). My whole meal, drink and onion rings (there is a 99 cent upcharge for sweet potato fries) with tax came to just over $23 bucks. The food at Fuddruckers has always been pretty good. I remember going as a teen back in Omaha, Nebraska. This location in Virginia Beach continues the tradition of good service and good food. I like the topping bar and the fact that they have someone in the seating area assisting guests is great. Frederick is very personable and he even knew some of the regulars and they knew him. Most people would say no big deal, but today is Jan 29, 2022. We had a snowstorm overnight and the roads were treated with salt brine and made a disgusting mess. Therefore the same nasty spray that coated my truck after driving a few miles, ended up all over the food in the bed of that truck. It doesn't matter if he drove a mile or across town. It exposed their food to the misty conditions created by the slush and melting snow on the road. Fuddruckers, in my opinion, is consistently good. The hamburgers are always cooked, just as requested. And the hamburger buns are always on point; nicely grilled and substantial. They have all the traditional toppings you need to make a substantial burger/meal. And you can never go wrong with their fries, or my personal favorite, the onion rings. At this location, they have a nice young gentleman that comes and checks on everyone. Very personable and friendly. He is a really nice guy and I look forward to seeing him each time I guy. This was perfect for a spontaneous Friday night burger craving. Upon entering the restaurant, there was a decent line. I knew at this point that the food had to have been good. We finally made it to the front and ordered our food. I was so amazed that they serve exotic meats. That really sold me when I looked at the menu. Lanni got the bourbon burger with onion rings n fries while I got an elk burger the works style. Another thing that was unique was that they offer half onion rings and half fries which was great for Lanni because she always wants a little bit of both! I don't know any other restaurant that can do that. They asked us what temp we wanted our patties to be cooked which is awesome. The burgers ended up being perfectly cooked! We also ordered a cookies and crème milkshake and an order of chicken tenders. When I say that these were some of the best tendies I've ever had, I mean it. The breading was perfection and the chicken was just outright juicy. The ranch they gave us was some of the best ranch I've ever had as well. They have a bar area where you can grab extra condiments, sauces, etc. Once we got our food, there was no stopping us. My son asked for sweet potato fries and the guy shook his head as if it was an inconvenience for him to reach in the small freezer to make them. I told the cashier, we can cancel and go somewhere else. She said he was having a bad day. If customers that are paying your paycheck are an inconvenience, might as well find a new job. Well they're back! Lots of childhood memories from this place. I was excited to go back and try it to see how much they managed to change it. The food is great the ambience is good. 4.25 stars out of 5 is the fair rating. You get what you expect from the taste of the hamburger, it's dank. Also very nice staff who checked in on you to make sure you have everything that you need we will see if that lasts after the grand opening. The Fresh vegetable bar included with your burger to put all the topping you wish was clean and well organized. Can't forget the delicious Fudruckers sauce. The games selection is great including Avengers pinball and Mariokart although they should have 4 Mario Kart arcades instead of 2. The major thing holding me back from the 5/5 rating is price. It's too god damn expensive for a hamburger and milkshake I paid 19 dollars are you kidding me? A family for 4 will pay about 80$ for lunch combos. So, all in all it was a good dining experience I will be back --very occasionally. read more

We were sad to see jakes bbq go but soooo happy for fuddruckers!! We came on Sunday only hard part was tables were hard to find! My husband had to order for me while I tried to grab us a table but got lucky! Also I wish they had a bigger serving bar! It's was overwhelming when it came to getting toppings with everyone so close together. But other than that my family was extremely happy and let full! All of the burgers had great taste order was made correctly and wasn't a long wait. They had everything on the serving bar everything looked fresh and yummy no issues! The kids really loved the chicken tenders with the cheese sauce. Once you enter you will be put right to where you order. And then you will see all the tables. They also have a cute little outside seating as well! Parking lot is not very large! Hard to find a spot during busy hours! We will definitely be back food and serves was great! read more

Ok the comp for this franchise is Ted Robin and five guys. When I got there the parking lot was full. Thought to myself oh bruddah here we go wait forty mikes for a table. Went in and the joint was jumping, huge line to get the food. I was not feeling it at all. So the way it works is you go in and order your food. They give ya a buzzer and you wait. Well I was torn between fish and chips and the burger. The server (more on the service later) suggested for the first time to get the burger. What it is known for. Only negatives were the food took a bit but it was crowded and the initial line moved fast. We got the food and it was great. Burger was on point especially with the toppings. The onion rings were super as well. All in all a great experience. Onion ring portion was lacking. And the aforementioned wait. Positives food, albeit a touch expensive (what isn't now) was really really good. One of the best burgers in HR and best onion rings. The biggest positive though was the staff. Whoever hired these young people did outstanding. They took pride in their jobs and were cheerful. When I remarked how good the food was they seemed to get genuinely pumped up. You can tell if they were faking it. They were not. Even the young man clearing the tables could not have been better. Normally would give a four star for portions and wait. Burger chain is back!! I remember this burger chain growing up then they all closed, happy to see this came back again. The line can be long because once you get in you have to order your food. Since this is their first week open they were taking reservations online. We got there and the line was long but it wasn't to bad. We ordered our food. Kiddos got cheeseburger meal with strawberry shakes and we got a protein style burger (no bun) and a huge 1lb hangover burger and a side of fries and onion rings. We got our order number and proceeded to the tables. Lots available so no issues there. The kids had fun in the small arcade section while waiting for food. When our food came we went to the fixings bar for all the toppings and sauces, they had lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, banana peppers, pico, bbq sauce, ketchup, mustard, mayo, hot sauce and A1. They also had sanitizer and gloves available for everyone to use. The burgers were big and tasty. We got the side of fries/rings to share but it only had maybe 5 onion rings and the rest potato wedges, the portion wasn't big at all like I thought it would be. The staff greeted us and was very friendly and accommodating. Great addition to the neighborhood!! We will be back for more burgers!! read more

This location is brand new. As I drove up, the delicious smell of burgers wafted right into my car! I rushed in and although there was a line, it went by very quickly. I ordered the 1/2 lb bacon cheddar burger with onion rings and the tenders with fries. While waiting for my food, my buzzer died and I had to get a new one but honestly it took about ten minutes to receive my food. There are waiters/waitresses that had come around for any drink refills and to clean the tables. Despite COVID-19 ruining a lot of our favorite experiences, this restaurant was set up like all the other Fudruckers restaurants pre covid. They have the toppings (lettuce, pickles, onions, tomatoes, ketchup, Mayo, melted cheese) and the drink fountains set up got easy access. There are booths and tables available. The food absolutely hit the spot! Very delicious and tasty. The burger and tenders very juicy and the onion rings flaky and had the right crunch. My kids and I had already eaten almost half of it before I snapped pictures! Despite the high volume of customers inside the establishment, it appeared to be clean. The employees were all very courteous. There are also a handful of arcade games to enjoy. Will definitely return! read more
