The Monday Special is a greay deal! Two snap dogs with any toppings you want with fries and a drink. So happily surprised getting chili on top isnt extra. The snap dogs have that nice snap you'd expect from natural casings. All the women who work inside were very helpful asking for a refill on my drink. The inside of seaside grill is clean and dedicated to the loose nautical theme. When I arrived it was semi-busy with a couple tables with happy customers and another person like me ordering take out. The strength here is the decent quality and great price point. We got two snap dogs, fries, cheeseburger, and fried pickles. The fries were good and felt over fried or somewhat soggy. Now the fried pickles were wonderful with a crisp seasoned exterior with delectably tart interior. This was the memorable stand out. The snap dogs had a chili that was more on the sweeter side and the hot dog itself was perfectly cooked. The burger was very tasty with all the fixings but the lack of bacon addition was disappointing. Over all, perfect American food for a nice park or beach outing. This was right on time! Being newer to the Redmill area, I was pleased to find a "hot dog" spot near the house. Not often do I have hotdogs but when I do wish to have one, I want a good one! I came the day after the Super Bowl and after a long morning, I was in need of some fuel. The guy ( I wish I remembered his name) behind the bar was awesome. He related very well with my personality and needs suggesting the brats. I got a brats and a snapdog with chili, onions and shredded cheese. It felt I took three bites to devour the brats and the same for the dog. It was was crispy, cooked at the time I ordered, fresh and just a solid product at a very reasonalble price. My only suggestion or wish was for the hotdog bun to have been warmed up or put on the flatop to get a bit of a toast on it otherwise, I had no complaints. The place was clean, smooth running, and comfortable for what you are asking for with a great staff that lets you be who you were. Second time, but over a year or more in between. It's very far for me. Located in the Redmill Commons with adequate surface parking that was clean. They do not have road visibility, so could be a bit of a search the first time. The signage on the building easily identifies them and it's much bigger than you would expect. A large bar and table and chairs. Everything was extremely clean. Service was almost immediate. Menus are left on the table. They do more than dogs, but that is their specialty on a simple straight forward type of offering. Order was two snap dogs just short of all the way holding onions and added fries. Water to drink, but they dog have fountain. Pepsi products. The meal was delivered within around 10 minutes and looked great and was indeed. The Boars Head hot dogs were quality as was the chili. The right amount of mustard was applied. Ketchup was delivered with their yum crinkle fries. The checkout upfront by probably the owner was speedy and even a 10% new customer discount checking into Yelp. Solid 4 and would recommend as well as love to return. read more

This isn't my first time coming, but I haven't been for over 3 yrs though, I decided to get some today so I got the special of the day cheeseburger with crinkle fries and a drink for 7.99 and also got a snapdog and some chicken nuggets. I ordered it to go so very friendly, very helpful as well. The food was packed in bag very tight and good. The food was still hot warm at home. I tried the snap dog it was good. The cheeseburger was good as usual and the chicken nuggets was crispy. The ambiance is really nice and clean a lot of customers were coming in to dine in. I like that they have a bench for you to sit and wait as well. It's always nice to sit on the bench. 15 minutes for it to be ready is good and nice. We decided to try Seaside Dogs and Grill this past weekend for the first time, and it did not disappoint. We had an array of things from the burger, chicken salad sandwich and corn dog nuggets for the kids. The food was great and fresh. The service was amazing! There were a lot of high school aged kids working and they were on point. It is really good to see a local restaurant support young working youth. My kids really enjoyed the "special sauce". I also noticed they had a little nook at the front where they sold t-shirts and supported some other small businesses in the area. It was a real great family feel atmosphere. While i was in the area we decided to go check out some hotdogs for national hotdog day!! So we headed over to Seaside Hotdogs... Its located in Redmill on the same strip as Panera. There's plenty of parking out front. I called in my order for snap dogs, cheese and bacon fries, a knich, a patty melt, and a cheeseburger. Everything was about $27. Their prices are very reasonable. That's why i just love hot dog restaurants. You can get a decent lunch for a good price. When i got there i was greeted by the friendly ladies working there... They were smiling and happy and very nice!! When i got to the car we tasted everything and it was all good. The hotdog had a good snap, the fries were tasty, and the patty melt and burger were good to. I really am glad i asked for secret sauce.. It was no secret that the sauce was delicious.. Small mom and pop type restaurant - the food was good, made fast, and inexpensive. The best cheese curds I've ever had hands down! The snap dog (beef and pork) was OK - I am usually a 100% beef kinda girl so next time I'll try that. The patty melt was good but a little on the greasy side! Onion rings are flavorful! As my oldest said, this is definitely a new favorite. We loved every bit of our visit to seaside. It was our first time but definitely not our last. Wanted to grab and quick bite and stumbled upon this gem that we found on yelp! We walked in and for an early dinner and the place was empty (for now) we placed our ordered and they came out quickly. We go in once in a while. I saw online they were advertising a Chicago dog. My boss is from Chicago and talks about the Chicago dogs. So I was excited. I go in and it is not on the menu. So I ask about it. They seemed unaware that they were advertising it. That's a bit strange. So she said she could make me one anyways. Seaside Dogs and Grill is located in the Red Mill Commons shopping center. It's in the same row of places as Panera Bread and Chipotle. It is fairly easy to navigate the area to get here. One note though is that the parking right in front of the business is for 15 minutes only. This place has opened recently. My visit here was on May 2, 2019. I've heard from a few different people that I should try this place out, so that is how I ultimately ended up here. The visit was in the afternoon, so the place was actually empty at the time I was there, but it had gotten busier by the time I was done and getting ready to leave. As you enter, there are booths along the left side and there is a bar area to the right. A booth seemed easier than the bar stools, so a booth it was. The overall theme inside is a seaside theme, which is fitting for this area. This place is very casual and good for all ages. After getting seated, someone came over to the table to ask if we wanted any drinks. I did end up getting a drink and then continued to look at the menu. My mom was with me here on this visit. We ended up getting a few sides and shareables. They were the Death By Fries and Crispy Onion Petals. A few moments later we were ready to order and I went with the All Beef "Hot" hot dog. My mom went with the All Beef Hot Dog. About 5-10 minutes after ordering, our hot dogs came to the table, followed by the shareables. I was a bit surprised about that as I thought he shareables would have come to the table before the hot dogs. Anyways, it was time to dig in. The hot dog turned out really good. I did think about getting another one after having the first one, but didn't want to have too much. The Death By Fries and Onion Petals were really good as well, though I do think the price is a little high for the Death By Fries based on how much you get. As we were finishing up, my brother, niece, and his wife came in. We didn't know they were coming and they didn't know we were there either. We hung around a little while with them before heading out ourselves. Overall, this was a very good first experience here. Although it was just hot dogs this time, they have many other options from burgers to Taylor Ham (pork roll). You don't see pork roll in many places in this area. The service was good and so was the food. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat, this is definitely a great place to go. I will definitely be back. read more

This place is very nice extremely friendly and inviting. Very nice ambiance reminds me of the old hot dog spots i use to go to when I was younger. Main entree anywhere from $4.99-$7.99 but when you start ordering the sides your food before a drink will be around $7-$11. Ordered jalapeño poppers, corn dog nuggets, trash burger Knockwurst and a hamburger and a couple beers. I wouldn't recommend ordering the knockwurst. Just go with a hot dog. What a great little place. I'm a major hot dog fan, so I was skeptical but the dogs were great. Got a regular dog with onions, brown mustard ( they have yellow too) and sauerkraut. It was delicious, and an order of onion petals-like a blooming onion. Delicious, as is the remoulade style sauce. They even had wine although it wasn't on the menu, for 3+ a glass. Have eaten here several times. Always got the hot dogs. So very good. They serve the Norfolk style "snap dog" and they are delicious. Today I changed things up and ordered the cheeseburger all the way. It was damn tasty. The fries are ALWAYS fresh and hot. Try the secret sauce cause it is great with the fries. Highly recommend for local eats. So much better than the nasty food they serve at Fudruckers (see my previous posts to understand why). read more

Well, as the champion of their inaugural Hot Dog eating contest, I feel compelled to leave a 5 star review! It's a simple no frills diner with approachable friendly service, an open kitchen, a classic diner counter with stools, and a couple of tables. I don't actually eat a ton of hot dogs and I can be really picky when I do eat them. But these are my favorites in the region. I like the snap on their dogs and the flat grill really is the best way to cook one of them. The buns are lightly toasted as well, for a little extra crunch. We came here for lunch on Friday afternoon. Place was busy, all the tables full so we sat at the bar. I expected service to take a bit because they were so busy but before we even sat down they came and made sure the bar was wiped and got us drinks.
