Went to pick up lunch last week after a doctor visit in the same area. To my shock, the facility was closed and a sign on the door stated that it was closed due to a mechanical failure. This was my second visit in 2 weeks. On the first visit I waited about 10 minutes after receiving my food to try and get a fountain drink. Both soda machines were not working and the staff were attempting to service one of the machines. After seeing me waiting there I was offered a bottle soda instead. After the bad experience the first time there, I was glad that at least the regional manager called me back to address my concerns about the wait time and food quality.. He sounded genuine enough. Ordered online. Clicked link that was texted to me when I arrived at 4:47pm. Alerted crew of my arrival. Manager gave my kids their shakes at 4:50pm. Many walk in customers come in, order, recieve their order, and leave. I was the only customer in the building at times. At 5:07pm I asked when my order will be ready. Crew member pulled a bag off of a rack and tried handing it to me. I asked if the order had been ready for 20 minutes. He looked at the receipt taped to the bag and replied "Yes." I asked for a refund, letting them know I dont have time to wait for them to remake my order as I was now late to pick up my wife. Crew member got manager who said I had to call the 800 number on the website to get a refund. I left without food. Hopefully I get refunded. I will not return. read more

They sell burgers, hot dogs, fries and not much else. Their claim to fame is offering cheese, bacon, and 15 other toppings for your burger as well as fresh cut fries. I asked if they had any other kind of cheese besides orange american. The answer was "no". They offer burgers with one or two patties, so my wife asked how big the patties were. The woman at the register could not answer that question. If you care more about the toppings than the burgers, you might like this place. There are lots of places in the area where you can get a dry, overcooked, and mostly tasteless burger, but this is the only one who will charge you nearly $7 for the privilege (bacon, no cheese). I was excited when I saw the fries, they looked great. However, the excitement vanished when I put one in my mouth and got the taste of nothing but salt. I love salt. I will add salt to fries and most meat 95% of the time I eat out, but this was WAY too much. The only way I could eat them was to wipe the salt off the outside of each fry before putting it in my mouth. The next time I want to go out for a burger, I will go to one of the bigger chains. The burger will be a little bit better and the price will be a lot less. read more

I have to say I'm so horribly surprised by the increase in prices at Five Guys. The product was still alright, but nothing really amazing really. It was just a good place for a quick and fresh meal for a little less than a sit down spot like '99' as a good example. Not anymore, $22 for two hamburgers and a fry. My dad and I were at the Five Guys in Wareham because we had some errands to do. Where we normally go is to the five guys in Hyannis. The first thing I noticed when we entered the store is how spotless it was. The floor was spotlessly clean. The tables were clean. We even made a comment about it when we got there. The Hyannis store my feet stick to the floor and the tables are really clean. Then we saw a young woman sweeping the floor. After she was done with that, she started scrubbing the tables and the countertops. It was clear that she was a hard worker, and that she takes pride in her work. She was also the person that greeted us at the door and took our order. My dad commented that the store was very lucky to have her as an employee. It is especially hard to keep this kind of store clean because of all the peanuts that are given at the door for free. Hyannis store doesn't even offer these peanuts and can't keep the store as clean as this one. My gut tells me that the young woman named Jillian was largely responsible for the condition of the store. I told her that the store was lucky to have her as an employee. we will definitely stop here every time. We have errands to run in Wareham. We really enjoyed our experience. The food was cooked Exactly the way we asked for it. When you are over at Target or Walmart, you should stop here and grab a bite to eat. read more

Five guys is "ok". They post a lot of the press in the dining area, hallways, and even the men's room to promote how great they are. And yes it is a good burger. About it's not that much better than Red Robin across the way in the Crossings. And honestly the Smokehouse burger at BB's the very next restaurant is as good if not better. It's clear why 5 Guys needs all the posters tell us they are so good. Now what you don't see much on their walls is press about their fries. Hands down the best fries in town! read more

Giving this review one star is too generous. About three weeks I entered this restaurant, stepped up to the cashier and politely asked her if she knew that you were supposed to cover your nose with your face mask. It bothered me that someone working in a restaurant did not cover their nose. She didn't say anything. I waited a long time for my two burgers. Finally I got them, and drove home to have lunch with my husband. I opened the wrappers and was absolutely astounded when I saw that there were no burgers, only lettuce. Of course I threw everything away. If someone could do this what else could they do? Spit on my food? It made me so sad that people could be so cruel. Almost everything is cooked to order, so don't expect fast food. Had a bacon cheeseburger, bacon hotdog and fries. The fries were limp, not crispy except for the ones that were overcooked. Bacon cheeseburger was ok, bacon was burnt and ruined the taste. The bacon hotdog also had burnt bacon and was a disappointment. It's 5 guys. I don't see the issues others have with any of their locations. This one is clean, same ole (good burger) and fries. The fries at this location didn't have as much salt as other times I've been but it's a good thing. The guy in the kitchen screaming out the numbers is LOUD.. but he said Thanks when the 4 of us walked out the door. That's a plus and has never happened to me in a 5 guys before. Eat at this location several times a year due to work, usually a very positive experience, not today, burger was ready quicker than usual? Makes me think theyre cooking ahead in preparation for lunch, burger was dry, bun was stale, frys were cold, and I eat fast, not a lingerer so I know it was the prep, manager pushing down rubbish with hands then not changing gloves, pretty sure thats not ok by serv safe standards. Hopefully this was a one off bad day but knowing the industry and having worked in it for 35 years its usually a sign of lazy, unsupervised bad habits by staff. Hopefully a regional manager corrects this behavior before its too late. Also, maybe eliminate the "smoking" by employees in front of store, not a good look. read more

Bragged about 5 guys to my husband and sister especially about the fries. Ordered dinner online, wasn't made so we had to wait,not a huge deal. Got back to our hotel 2 burgers were fine 1 was completely wrong but we were starving so we ate them but the worst part was they put SUGAR on our fries!!! When I called to speak to the manager she told me it was because the ran out of salt...are you kidding me. She did refund us the next day when I went in with the fries because I was dumbfounded the lack pride these people have for their jobs. Only one dollar sign? Add a couple of more, my cheeseburger fries and coke were 14.09. I could have gone to the 99 with full table service and better food or Wendy's for a clearly better burger for less. No real complaints about the food, it was okay but I hadn't been in a five guys in about three years and was hit by sticker shock. I'm a big fan of Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Now that they've opened up a location in Wareham, it's going to be really hard not to want to eat here all the time. First of all, Five Guys in general has fantastic burgers, always grilled well done. Something you should know right away, is that when you order a "hamburger" or "cheeseburger", you're going to get 2 quarter pound patties on one bun. If you're looking for something smaller, get the "little hamburger" or "little cheeseburger" that comes with only one patty. All four sandwiches are available with bacon, for an extra charge. Then, you get into your free toppings. There are 15 in all. Just to name a few: the standard ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, to grilled onions, mushrooms, A-1 steak sauce, and Frank's Red Hot. My go-to is the little bacon burger with Frank's Red Hot, and pickles. Also, the fries are cooked in peanut oil, so they have a nice crunch to them. Good news for fry lovers, bad news if you're allergic to peanuts. The fries come in three sizes: "little", "regular" and "large". They fill a paper cup full of fries, and dump an extra scoop in the bag. The regular order of fries can easily feed 3 people,so If you're eating alone, get little fries. If you like things a little spicy, you can ask for them "cajun style". They have a shaker of cajun seasoning they put on, right after they salt them. If you want to try it first before they put it on all your fries, ask for it on the side. This new location has gone high-tech with the Coke Freestyle soda fountains, More and more Five Guys locations are getting them, because they allow customers to pick from over 100 drink variations (ever have Fanta Raspberry?). Plus, you get free refills! The newer locations are also getting milkshake stations, which this location has. Customize your shake with any combination of flavors like chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, coffee, caramel, and strangely, bacon bits. Top it off with whipped cream, if you desire. The prices for Five Guys are more than you'd pay at fast food places (McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, etc) but it is SO worth it. I'm not ashamed to say I paid over $10 for a burger, fries, and a drink...and loved it! The staff at this location are friendly, and enthusiastic (we'll see if they stay that way after the store's been open a while). My meal was delicious, on par with all other Five Guys locations I have been to. The place was clean, and there seemed to be many people there enjoying their meal when I was there. Parking was ample, on both sides of the building. If you're a fan of Five Guys, stop here when you're in the area. If you haven't tried them yet, no time like the present. read more

This place continues to disappoint. The service and time for food are all over the place. The thing that is most disappointing though is the last few times I have been in it has been FILTHY. Tables, floors, trash, drink machines everything. Have never seen anyone come out and wipe down a table.
