Gary's has gotten more expensive with a lack of general quality, namely cold hot dogs. Okay so it seems like I am putting a big emphasis on whether the dogs are warm, hot, or cold. But it is a big deal when you're going to a place like this which is all about a quick meal. Maybe I wouldn't say anything if it wasn't more pricey? I think I would, I was more concerned whether the dogs had some warmth to them than I was their price. I think I'm being a little kind with the 3 stars, but two seemed a shade too short. So, you do have the ability to make your own and add all of the various toppings that you like. They were cheap as well. Not sure what happened to this place. Buns are always stale and not steamed. When three people are ordering I don't want all the hot dogs in one tray all the quahogs in another and sodas in another. Making three trays then make one for each person. Lately the dogs have not been fully cooked. Fourth time this year I am disappointed. They have a variety of toppings to choose from, like catsup, mustard, relish, onions, celery salt, chili & cheese, reuben and pizza dogs. Besides the hot dogs they have tons of other sandwiches you can choose from like porkbutt, linguiça, chicken or tuna. They have a variety of drinks and chips also...... I used to adore this place and tried a few times recently to be sure they didn't just have a bad day but I honestly believe the owner doesn't want to put another dime into this place. First and foremost, the food quality: it's dead now. All they have to do is steam a hot dog and half the time you can tell they forgot to steam it and it's barely cooked. If I wanted a cold dog I'd get it from my fridge. Second issue and it's not as bad as the first but the boxes. This owner is so cheap he will not place each customer with their own box to hold the food. He makes you share boxes and figure out whose stuff is whose. My husband asked for another box and asked for our meals to be put in order and the guy fought him on this! Last of all and the least of my issues but I feel like with the technology today this should be an easy fix, they are cash only. They could easily invest in square which is free or do what every other business has done but as I said. If he can't invest in a card board box I doubt he cares anymore. The place is dirty and could use to be scrubbed as well. I will say he did repaint recently but as far as the land it's needs some tlc. read more
