Actually, the porcupine may have enjoyed it... I'm not sure. In any case, we needed some serious quill removal. We took him in around 10pm on Saturday night and they were pretty slammed. From start to finish it took a good 3-4 hours to get him treated and released. This isn't ideal, but totally understandable given the business they're in and again, the ONLY emergency vet clinic in town. Whatchagunnado? Total cost was around $700 which seems obscene on the face of it, but my wife (in whose opinion I trust like the stone-etched tablets of Moses himself) considered it quite reasonable given their service, skill and professionalism. They gave our dumb beast total wrap-around care, medicating him for pain and removing 50+ quills. My wife is in the medical field and is a pretty harsh judge of vets. She loved the docs here and found them both highly skilled, knowledgeable and efficient. This reaffirmed my own lay impressions. Bottom line? They did a great job and the service is invaluable in emergency cases. Cost is high, but not outlandish for the service.

They got my dog in immediately at north Spokane veterinary clinic. They did the other tests. They discovered what was wrong with out the expensive coat of putting him under. Here I felt like they cared about me, my dog and not charging me a fortune to help my animal. I recommend this veterinary clinic very highly ! Side note on how I know they treat my animal behind closed doors when I can't see them. My dog lets them trim his nails. He doesn't let people touch his paws unless he knows you or he is comfortable with you because he can clearly sense your intention is to help him. So I knew that he loved them also!

We had a very scary emergency with our young cat, who had been throwing up all day and stopped…read moreeating and drinking. We brought him in, and the doctors quickly took x-rays and discovered he had a string wrapped around the base of his tongue, which can be very dangerous. The doctors and staff were incredibly kind, compassionate, and understanding throughout the entire process. They clearly explained the situation and the recommended surgery, but it was unfortunately far outside of what we could afford. When we asked if there were any other options, even if they carried more risk, they took the time to listen and worked with us. They agreed to carefully cut the string under his tongue and allow the remaining piece to hopefully pass on its own. They were honest about the risks, but they respected our situation and helped us pursue the option that gave him a chance while still being financially possible for us. They also gave him anti-nausea medication, fluids, and pain management to support his recovery, and made sure we understood exactly what to watch for at home. I'm so grateful for how kind, nonjudgmental, and caring everyone was during such an emotional and stressful time. It was clear they truly cared about our cat and wanted the best possible outcome while also being respectful of our financial reality. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone facing a pet emergency.
