I wish I had paid closer attention to the reviews before trusting this clinic with my child's referral. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Angie, the scheduler, has scheduled my child's appointment not once, not twice, but three separate times, and each time the appointment has been pushed further out. As a parent seeking services for my child, it is incredibly discouraging to continually be delayed without any reasonable explanation. When I called to ask why my child was not receiving fair treatment and why the appointment kept being rescheduled, Angie became unprofessional and ultimately hung up on me. Instead of addressing my concerns, I was left feeling dismissed and unheard. Based on my experience, I would never recommend this clinic to other families seeking services for their children. There appears to be a pattern of poor communication, repeated scheduling issues, and a lack of accountability when concerns are raised. I would strongly encourage referring providers to consider other options for their patients until these issues are addressed. Families seeking timely care for their children deserve better communication, professionalism, and respect than what I experienced here. I sincerely hope management takes these concerns seriously and implements changes to improve how families are treated moving forward. read more

I made an appointment with this office months in advance after spending months on a waiting list just to make an appointment. They assured me multiple times that they take my family's insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield). But then, less than 2 weeks before my daughter's appointment date, they called to inform me that they actually don't take my insurance after all. But I could pay $350 for the privilege of visiting them anyway. These people are either incompetent or they are scamming desperate families. Either way, they are not to be trusted. They wasted precious time that I could have spent getting a competent speech therapist for my daughter who would be honest about whether or not they take my insurance instead of trying to scam a cash payment out of me two weeks before my scheduled appointment because they knew I was desperate read more

I was hesitant on even scheduling an appointment for this place because of the bad reviews and it looks like I should have listened. This place has been horrible with communication.(even though my son had a referral from his pediatrician) and they still gave me the run around with absolutely no help. I sent all my info like they asked and never heard anything back, so I called back everyday and didn't actually get any help until the 4th time I called back and even then, they weren't helpful at all. I already called my son's pediatrician office and told them to please stop recommending their patients to this place. If you can please go to another clinic. Even if the wait time is long, it will still be better than this place. If you're that busy and don't want new patients, please say so instead of wasting both our time. Hopefully this place can hire a new front desk staff that is more organized, professional and that actually communicates with their clients. read more

I currently work here as a SLPA part-time and I am beyond grateful for the hours and my job. I try to make my sessions fun and include different activites and speech materials. Working with kids is a lot of fun and the clinicians here are awesome. read more

Horrible experience. My son came here for 6 months and not once was a supervisor (SLP) involved in session. The SLPA was not able to keep my son engaged for the session and therefore just cut session short instead of getting creative. It was all about drilling here - and with a 4 year old that's not the right style. She got incredibly mad when I suggested (nicely) for her supervisor to sit in so we can create a plan to make session better - therapist was good but clearly still needed some guidance (understandable) but never got any. Not sure how that is allowed. I then was retaliated against and not allowed teletherapy- decision on SLPA (who shouldn't have this authority) and cancelled my session to meet with SLP. The meeting was about "just wanna see how your feeling how things are going...?" That would have been a perfect session to still be had and the SLP to sit in. So advice if you wanna come here - make sure you don't care about SLP supervision and never ask for a supervisor to sit in or if they supervise. You may press some buttons and get treated poorly. Also, the SLPA and front desk girl were gossiping - front desk girl knew about my sons situation and said "well I heard ..." and when I brought this up to the office manager they repeatedly said I was "accusing them of gossiping" - I wasn't I just raised this concern. Clearly got defensive. Let's not even talk about trying to get a make up session even when THEY cancel or a different session time. They are here to bill and not supervise their SLPAs. Can I just add that I put up with the BS for 6 months because I was trying to give them a chance and finally raised my concerns in a very appropriate way? I wanted this to work because I saw the potential. Of course I turned into mama bear at the end but who wouldn't? read more

This office is great , I would have kept my son here had I not gone back to work and also simply hated the drive to Rancho. I like to go shopping in the area here but definitely don't want to sit in traffic for just an appt. They knew how to bill both insurance , which makes no sense , since according to their office it's same biller My kids liked the office staff they always changed tv to what movie they wanted and it was nice and cold there not stuffy like the GT office. read more

I am so grateful for Five Oaks Speech. My daughter started attending speech classes with a speech delay. She was 2 and a half and her speech and language skills were minimal. About a year and a half later, she is now graduating and meeting all age appropriate goals. During my daughters time with Five Oaks, I was thoroughly impressed with the entire operation. Everyone I encountered was professional, helpful and pleasant. We worked with three different therapists, Jade, Liana, and Paula, all of which were so great and patient with my daughter. Any question or concern we had was addressed and timely followed up on and when we had questions about our daughters progress, her therapists promptly took the steps to get her goals updated so that she was always moving forward and no time was wasted. I also appreciated that through the pandemic, the office took all the appropriate safety precautions such as temperature checks, wearing masks, and making virtual appointments available when necessary. And despite the multiple waves of COVID during our time at Five Oaks, there was never an interruption with my daughters therapy. Throughout the entire process, it was very clear to me that management and the staff put in a lot of effort and planning to make sure every thing ran smoothly and efficiently for their patients and parents. I was extremely pleased with my experience at Five Oaks and would highly recommend them to anyone needing speech therapy services for their child! read more

I had an absolutely awful experience with Five Oaks from beginning to end. It started when my pediatrician referred me to them for early intervention for my 15 month old. I called and was told that they did not take my insurance (they did) and that they had not received the referral (they had). I called a different location where someone was willing to help. We were scheduled for an assessment which went well. We were told that we would receive an email with the results, we did not. I've called on two additional occasions to request the results, and both times I was told it would be emailed. The email never came. I was informed that my daughter was approved for an hour of therapy a week! Awesome! Except for now they say they have a 4-6 month waiting list. MONTHS later we were able to start services (make sure that YOU call THEM to check in on the waiting list because they won't call you). My daughter had 4 sessions and then we were told that she was too young and to try again in a few months. She was referred at 15 months. We started services at 21 months. They stopped services at 22 months. I went looking for a new therapist. Every other speech therapist that I have spoken to discusses the importance of early intervention and says that the earlier they start the better. Fortunately I am not the kind of parent that will let my child be pushed aside, swept under the rug or left behind. I just wish someone had warned me as I lost 7 months! We could have been somewhere else where they actually want to help and care to help. I honestly just don't want any other mom/child to have the experience that I had. Do yourself a favor and Go ANYWHERE else but here! read more

The whole process was fantastic - from being welcomed at reception to the light hearted discussions around my pronunciation and how to better it. I worked with Michelle and she must have the patience of a saint as I don't think I could have been the easiest of people she has ever worked with.
