I brought my shoes that needed repair from Temecula to HB because one m, I come here frequently as my daughter lives nearby, and two, shoe repairs are hard to find and extremely expensive out there when you do find one. I had an indigo pair of Ralph Lauren classy up the ankle strap type of sandals, circa 2000 that needed work on one of the heels. I even joked with him and told him I wouldn't lose the yellow pick up ticket he gives you ( based on one of the reviews I read prior to coming ). He IS kind of serious about this. Had shoes repaired and cleaned here three times. Honestly the workmanship is amazing. But a) too expensive b) VERY slow (as in, weeks) and c) had a negative experience as per below. Dropped off my shoes weeks ago. Have you ever loved a pair of boots so much that you wore out the soles? Doug did a GREAT job on restoring my Chanel flats that were worn out very bad. The soles were close to bald. There were scuffs and bad leather tearing around the the flats but Doug was able to make them look pretty much brand new. Great shop! You walk in and immediately you see vintage, records, magazines memorabilia! I limped into the store ( I had a bad back from sleeping on the couch) hoping that my wife's ankle boots that my gorgeous Golden Retriever puppy Berkeley, had chewed through the decorative leather straps could be replaced or repaired. THEY STITCH GOLF BAGS! More than delighted to update another review. My husband's golf bag needed two zippers and Doug did a fabulous job and very reasonably. As Doug and I discussed yesterday, what he does has certainly become a lost art and a very valuable trade. Once again our repair was seamless and actually better than the original zippers.
