I dropped my margiela tabis off on 11/17 to be soled with vibram. He told me it would take one week. I reach out one week later to ask if they are ready and he tells me they aren't but that they will be ready 12/3. I was busy the week of 12/3 so I reach out on 12/8 to see if I can pick them up and he tells me they still aren't ready because his cobbler has been busy. I ask him to please have them ready by 12/12 and when I pick them up today they aren't exactly what I asked for. I made it SUPER clear when I dropped them off that I did not want the vibram covering any of the sizing numbers and you can clearly see the entire first row is covered and it's not even a straight cut on the right shoe. I also asked him to sole the entire heel and he didn't even touch it. The heels are the exact same as when I dropped them off. So I waited almost a month to not even get what I paid for. read more

I'm quite saddened by my experience. I paid $20 for two dress shoe cleaning & painting and $30 for a Blundstone boot cleaning & conditioning. ($70 total) Both the shoes and the boot are less than a year old, just scuffs and a little dirt. Truly, all that the needed was some slight dusting, oil conditioning and repainting the outsole. What I received were Blundstone boots that were scrubbed and stripped of the coating I had on them before, I cleaned and unconditioned. Leather is totally stripped and it keeps flaking off. Now I have to go and purchase my own repair and conditioning kit to fix this massacre, which is what I wanted to avoid by supporting this local business. The bottom of my outsoles still have dirt in them. I just paid $30 for my boots to be scrubbed. Now I have to wait a few days, while my leather boots dry out, to received my own repair kit. I took a pair of black and light brown dress shoes. Same story. Scrubbed the top, did not remove the shoelaces. Painted over a few scuffs. No conditioning applied. No paint on the outsole. Dirt remained in the bottom of the shoe. I thought I was getting a good price but I realize it was not worth it. I cannot come back here because I know my shoes will continue to get ruined and will not be better in the long run. I recommend finding someone better or purchasing your own kit (which is what I am choosing to do because there seems to be no other shoe repair local). read more
