First and foremost, you do have to make an appointment before coming to the shop (you can't just walk in). However, Bonnie and Phil will try to fit you in when they can, and they really do care about your well being and vehicle. So make sure you call their shop and schedule an appointment; I found that out late but better late than never. I had them fix my AC unit on my 1997 Chevy S10. It wasn't blowing cool air and of course we gotta have air in the Texas summers. Within 5-6 hours, Phil was able to diagnose my problem, find a new hose, do a few tests, and fix my AC without having to spend boatloads of dollars. And before they proceed with any repairs, Bonnie will call you up with an estimate which includes parts and labor costs. From here on in, I'm gonna go here if I ever have a car problem or concerns about anything with either of my vehicles. Locals have been coming here for well over 20 years and I can see why. I was told to take the car to Auto Zone and let them put it on the diagnostics machine. Firstly, you work for ME, not the other way around. You are to find out what's wrong with the car, that's not my job. So when I got the paper, they sold me a part that was on the paper. Get back to the shop, and was chastised for the purchase. I was scolded that the paper was "probable" and that the people at AutoZone are NOT mechanics. But, isn't that where you sent me, you jerk? So I get my car and drive down the street and it's smoking and oil is leaking... his attitude is vile, and he didn't offer to assist me further. So, this has been a HORRIBLE, expensive experience. So now, here I am 1200.00 later, and I ending up trading the car because LUXURY AUTO didn't correct the problem, and I drove it, and I took it elsewhere, to be told I am going to have more issues with the vehicle because it wasn't fixed correctly to start with... so STEER clear of ELI and his band of gay mechanics. I was amazed by the speed, price, and quality of the work so when my Prius began thumping recently I took it in and they had it ready and working like new within four hours. I have a 2015 Nissan Altima, and have been having a mass airflow sensor issue for a few months now, I even had it replaced by a friend mechanic back in February 2023, and I thought that would've been the end of my car problems. I was advised to take my vehicle to this little Ma and Pa repair shop in TX City, and thought these guys are experienced; they could fix it. Oh, boy, how wrong was I? Spent about $300 for them to replace the airflow sensor that I had an issue with back in February, only to find out that it worked for one day, and everything went to crap after that. My vehicle started stalling after I stopped at every stop sign, red light, etc. so, my last resort was to take it to the dealership. I open the hood to find a piss poor wiring job done by the shop (the connector for said mass airflow sensor), that even the technician was in shock about, so much so to the point where he almost fainted. The guy who owns the shop said he spent more money and time finding parts, connectors, and any other way they could fix the problem than they did on the actual repair. However, it didn't seem like they did anything more than find wires that hadn't been used in decades, and only ordered crappy after market parts. Thumbs up to them for putting in effort, but not having a car for over a month and still having problems to the point where you have to take it to the dealership won't cut it. I don't advise spending your time and money with these folks.
