My dad gave me his 1966 Olds Toronado - an Ohio car that had sat for about 25 years. I knew the car would need a lot of work and attention, and All American Automotive was recommended by some classic car owners in my neighborhood. They work on classics, moderns, diesels and RVs! I called to add myself to their waitlist and was happy when they called! I had the car towed in, and they worked tirelessly on her for a month. I appreciated that the owner, Kevin, took the time to go through all of the items that they noticed on inspection. He included a thorough list and estimated prices for each line item, and then talked through the list with me at length to decide what was a 'must have' and what was a 'wish list' item. He also told me what items i could do myself to save money, and gave me pointers on how to do them. Anytime something would come up that would cause additional cost or time, he was sure to call and inform me. I also appreciated that Kevin took the time to teach me about my car in a respectful and friendly way! All too often, as a woman, I feel slighted by mechanics who think that I either don't know or don't care about what is going on. Kevin went the extra mile when my car died on her drive home from the shop. He met me at the gas station where I was dead in the water, diagnosed the problem, ordered a part for us that we picked up around the corner, and installed it right there in the gas station parking lot. then followed me home to make sure it was ok! I've never experienced such great service and dedication from a shop before. He's earned a customer for life! read more

Stay away from this auto and RV repair shop unless you want to be ripped off. Went in for an oil change on my RV. They suggested I also change the oil on the RV's small generator.I approve the work, on my Ford E 350 24 Ft RV, without requesting a quote on charges. They did try to check out a loose wire which they did not fixed. Went to pick up my RV and was presented a bill for $792.53. Lesson learned! Never go back to this place and always ask for a quote even on a minor work like oil change before you let anyone work on your vehicle. Worst experience I have ever had in an automotive repair shop, cannot express enough how bad it was. STAY AWAY STAY AWAY! read more

Brought my car in March. Specifically to have the brake pads changed. They told me I needed rotors changed as well. I decided not to do the rotors that day but told them to change the brake pads, alignment, oil change and wipers. Left thinking all that was done but car still was braking strange. Brought it back today to have rotors changed only to find out they never did the break pads. read more

I have a vehicle that most shops can't or won't work on. These guys didn't hesitate for a minute and knew their stuff. They were kind, fit me into their schedule, explained everything well, didn't waste my time and when another shop told me I needed new tie rods they ordered them and then returned them when they saw that the other shop had found a nonexistent problem. I also really appreciated how kind and helpful the entire staff was. I don't remember everyone's names but Kevin was who I spoke with on the phone and the woman working in the front office was so knowledgable, kind and considerate. This review is way over due, but I just want to say that AAA has been my car repair shop of choice for over two years. I was about to give up hope of finding anyone who's halfway honest after having bad experiences with Midas and Space Center Automotive. But I must say that this place is a hidden gem in the Seabrook/Clear Lake Area. There's no such thing as a cheap car repair, but at least these guys try not to completely clean you out. For example, they won't try to charge you $900 for a part that only costs $400 at O'Reilly and they won't charge you 5 hours of labor for a job that only takes 3 hours at the most. They will let you buy your own parts and bring them in for installation, which the big chains will not allow. If they have a guy available to drop you off at work, they'll do it. (The owner came and picked me up from work once. Great guy. Funny too.) But they won't act like that favor justifies charging tripple the price that others charge for repairs. All American is a NO FRILLS repair shop. Don't go there expecting fancy coffee selections, plush seating, flat screen TV's or van service. They're in the car repair business, not the hospitality business. But you will get your car fixed right the first time without feeling like you got swindled. read more

read this review before falling for what I did! Brought my fairly new truck in for oil change and new wagner brakes put on. My bill was for brakes, oil change, full diagnostics and few other minor things and was $1,000.46 which i paid because i thought i'd be getting the service i paid for...kevin told me wait 3 days to break the brakes in and all the squeaking would go away and it'd stop better. 3 weeks later i can't drive anywhere without loud embarrassing squeaking and i'm worried every time i brake to stop that they'll fail! I brought i truck back in and Kevin told me brakes needed to be changed and few other things were wrong too and my bill would be $346 So in other words PAY TWICE FOR THE SAME THING THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO FROM THE BEGINNING! MY NICE 2013 FORD F-150 platinum and decked out DID NOT DRIVE OR SOUND LIKE THIS BEFORE ALL AMERICAN AUTOMOTIVE PUT THEIR HANDS ON IT!! read more

Kevin is just plain great to deal with. They work on my late model Corvette and other high dollar vehicles that frankly I do not trust that dealerships to work on.....All American is honest and work performed is of high quality at very reasonable prices, they give great advice and provide options, the mechanics are all very professional and not just "remove and replace monkeys" you see at other shops. I took my tribute 1969 Super Bee 440 Six-Pack to All American Automotive(AAA) on a recommendation from two auto parts stores. I had several small problems, but the most pressing was my outboard carbs were not activating properly(vacuum). I've had the car to 6 shops over an eight year period. Several of the shops were high profile speed/performance shops. Many parts were installed new, including cam, radiator, water pump, sending unit, gauges, plugs, plug wires, etc. The car was in these shops as long as 3-5 months at a time(not much cruising time). Problems still not resolved. I took it to Kevin at AAA and explained my problems. AAA had my car for a week and completely resolved all the problems that I had listed. Kevin consulted with me daily regarding other things that he had found with recommended solutions. For the first time in years, I am thrilled with my Bee. Kevin has many files on Classics that the shop has worked on. I would highly recommend stopping by and letting Kevin know your problems, and I feel certain he can resolve them. read more

I dropped off my RV with the intent of having the hose for the gravity-feed fill for the fresh water tank replaced. I clearly stated what hose I needed replaced. A glance under the RV would have easily revealed the deteriorated hose that needed replacement. When I went to pick up the RV I asked the mechanic if he had to drop the water tank to replace this hose (I knew that would have been required and that's why I took it to a shop and instead of completely a relatively simple task myself). He said no and proceeded to show me what he replaced. He replaced a PVC "t" fitting on the tank fill for the pressure line, not the line I asked to be replaced. The mechanic was not even aware there was a gravity fill option for the tank. A phone call to the customer to verify the work to be done and an estimate would have avoided this problem. This was $395 I really didn't need to spend. Sure, there was a leak on the pressure fill side of the tank but we don't use that and it's not what I wanted replaced. All American did not offer any sort of apology or reparations other than offering $100 off if we brought in back in for replacement of the correct line. Well, we all know how that works. No desire to deal with these folks again. read more
