I called ahead to make an appointment was told there was a new guy and I could walk in today, I asked the person who answers the phone if the guy was good he told me he was. I go in, the place is nice clean, we were greeted. My son sits down I show the barber the picture of what we want, twice. He starts to cut my sons hair. When It looks like he is finished I re show him the picture and tell him I need it shorter, he says ok cut a little more, I find another picture and show him this is what it is supposed to look like. Now the other guy tells him in the language they speak what I want and my son had been in the chair for over an hour and I could tell he was getting uncomfortable. It was obvious he was not going to get the haircut we wanted so I just said ok when he said he was done I paid and left. Now I have to find another place to give my son the haircut he always gets. I'm sold after just one shave. For years I have been barber hopping, but this is where my search ends. I especially appreciated that Michael worked me in among his appointment -- this place runs like clockwork. During the time I was waiting (which incidentally wasn't long), I saw him finish up a haircut and long full beard trim on one customer and buzz cut another, the latter of whom promptly paid and confirmed his three-week standing appointment. Additionally, two people called in to book appointments just during the time I was getting a shave. I paid cash but liked the fact that the barber was open to accepting Venmo. Michael gave me a great haircut I called in and scheduled a same day appointment. He sent me a text immediately after I called and another an hour before my appointment. Michael cuts hair quick but doesn't take any shortcuts. He gave me a super clean taper and a part just like I asked. Very friendly and excellent customer service. I'll be back. I've been looking for a new spot to get my hair cut after having my hair buzzed for years so I came onto here and saw that he had a perfect rating so I figured I'd try it out. I was not disappointed. I went in having a very minimal idea of what I wanted with my hair and told him the basics of what I wanted and left with a new go to hair cut that I loved. This place is as legit as they come. Michael runs a tight ship. He is a professional both in business and as a barber. Personally, I don't get a fancy haircut or fade, but I've seen countless men before me get outstanding cuts. When I make an appointment, I have a text sent to my phone outlining the details of my appointment before I even hang up the phone. A reminder text is sent before the appointment as well. I went to Mike after reading overwhelmingly positive yelp reviews. They weren't wrong. Mike has genuine skill as a certified Master barber and takes his time to make the haircut great. You get a lot of value for $16. He recently started only taking people by appointment so he can focus on giving quality haircuts and not kill himself. Good move on his part in my opinion.
