The staff is pretty friendly, the drive-thru is convenient, but most importantly, my shirts and pants are cleaned and pressed every time at a low price. The one knock I have (and hence, not the full 5 stars) I've noticed a couple of shirts that have seen sleeve buttons cracked in half, which isn't a problem in sport shirts that are rolled, but a big problem on dress shirts. This review is for the tailors at this location only. I brought in two pairs of jeans to have the inseam raised from 32" to 30". When I tried them on afterwards, they still felt long. I measured the legs on both pairs, and the inseam was NOT what I paid for. The measurements were different on each pair, and there were even variations between the individual legs. If they can't even get this type of simple alteration correct, I certainly wouldn't trust them with a wedding dress. read more

I'm a first time customer of Five Star Cleaners on Huebner. Today I took my husbands work shirts and pants to have them cleaned. The lady helping me was clearly new but there was a guy working over her shoulder to tell her what to do. They told me which coupons to use and what needed dry cleaning and what would be laundered. I left a little confused, but satisfied. Then at 6pm I received a call saying that they were giving me a courtesy call to tell me that they had to charge me more than what they originally stated because of the size of my husbands shirts. The lady on the phone expected me to just take that, no questions asked. When I did ask questions she had to place me on hold to ask someone. She came back on and said they made a mistake and I would be charged what they originally told me but next time there would be an up charge due to the size of the shirts. I'm sorry but I think that it's poor business and judgement to call a customer to tell them that they will be charged more. They should just eat the cost. It was their mistake. REALLY BAD FIRST IMPRESSION. Five Star Cleaners gets a One Star in my opinion for their bad business practice. Management should have a policy that is they make a mistake, they own it. Don't try and push it off on their customer. Do the work. Let the customer know that a billing mistake was made and what the future price will be. Easy enough. read more

They will rip you off. I made the mistake of taking a $70 work dress to get hemmed. They charged me $120 after writing $65 on my ticket. The lady said they start at $65 after I asked why they were charging so much vs what they wrote on the ticket otherwise I never would have left my dress there. I'm sticking to my tailor on Wurzbach Lennies who would charge me $45 for better work. I will be telling all my friends and family not to take a dress to get altered there. read more

Took in a new dress shirt and the collar was not only uneven, but ironed so that it folded over the button. Not only defeated purpose of dry cleaning, but ruined an expensive new shirt. Returned the next day for help fixing it and the response was to clip the collar with plastic. How this is supposed to help when wearing the shirt, I don't know. Not going to risk them ruining any more of my clothes. read more

I brought in my coupons just as instructed when I dropped off my clothes. When I picked up my dry cleaning, they "forgot" to apply my coupon. Then, when I asked them to apply it, they told me they could apply a credit towards my account. I settled for this because the other option (canceling transaction and re-charging me) was going to take too long. They weren't even willing to give me proof of the credit in writing - as if I have a reason to trust them anymore. I hope they don't put up a fight about my credit next time. As y'all as my witness, I spoke with Stephanie. Martin is supposed to arrange the credit towards my account. Let's see if they follow through with their word. read more

I moved to the area 6 months ago and have utilized Five Star cleaners at least once per month since that time. Not only are their prices higher than any dry cleaning business I have patronized in the past, but I've had difficulty with my clothing being ready at the time it was advertised to be ready. Twice, I've waited 20-30 minutes while they perform "final treatments" on my clothing. On one occasion, they told me my clothing was lost, and subsequently spent 20 minutes looking for it. I would not recommend this franchise and will be seeking out a more honest dry cleaning company in the future. read more

Took my suit there. Their prices were good, and the turn around was great. I didn't give it 5 starts because I asked them to get a stain out of one of my shirts and when I got it back it either looked the same or may have looked worse if I squinted one eye. Whatever... Worst service of all cleaners I've been to. I don't usually go to cleaners to begin with but my out of town trip coming up on short notice left me in a bind. I should have just drove the extra mile and gone to a different cleaner. Their arrogant attitude of not caring whether they are right or wrong is just irritating. They didn't clean the stain off my shirt and then they even refuse to accept any kind of coupon or at least give discount for not doing their job of actually cleaning. If you value your clothing I'd highly recommend not coming here. I sure as hell won't ever go here again. read more

Took a sports coat here that was drenched in red wine, fully expecting failure (it was that bad). Not only did it come back impeccable, but they charged me the regular price for dry cleaning and did it in less than a day. I could not have been happier with the results. Awful service!!! When I went to pick up my dry cleaning,before I could even finish asking if I could use the coupon since it was my first time and I wasn't familiar with the coupon policy, the rude attendant told me it was too late! When my clothes came out I asked for the total and when I was told, I was floored! I was never told an estimate nor were there price guides. Another employee overheard my shock and started snickering. As I was being charged I asked why it was so expensive and why was I not given an estimate the guy never answered me, he only handed me my receipt. Don't go! Don't waste your time or money! read more
