Unfortunately they didn't shorten the dress shirts to the agreed lengths I believe it was a miss communication due to asking for an extra step which I told them the length was more important and if they couldn't save the embroidery it was ok as long as it was the proper length. The older short lady was pretty argumentative and if they were to fix the mistake they would charge double the price? If cut to the agreed length with or without the embroidery it would have been fine, I told them the length was the "more important" reason for the alteration. read more

I had to get my jeans and lab coat hemmed. Stopped by since my friend had recommended them. I didn't realize you had to pay cash and ahead of time. They did make an exception and I was able to pay when I picked up my items. It took about one week to be ready. I am not sure if they have rush services. I was happy with both items. The lady also gave me recommendations with my lab coat. They work out well. Prices are about the same as other alteration places. $18 to him my jeans. Staff was friendly read more

They did the basic work required, but delivered clothes hanging wrinkled with new unwanted creases that were not there before. Could indicate lack of attention to detail or could have been just a one-off accident, don't know. read more

DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE! I dropped my formal dress off on Wednesday for a wedding that I was attending on Saturday. My first complaint was the price, just to take off a couple of inches of the dress and hem the bottom...easy peasy, right?! The initial charge was $70!!!! I was shocked especially since my dress was only about $30 - double the price just to shorten my dress?!? Wow! So after I contemplated about leaving and taking the dress somewhere else she finally came down to $60 and kept telling me that this was a business and that it was a rush job because I needed it Saturday by noon....ok fine. I go in on Saturday and they can't find my dress on the rack according to my ticket number. She asked when was I supposed to pick up and I said 12....I arrived at 12:30pm. She signals for me to help her find my dress on the rack....Yall!!! I found my dress hanging on the rack without any plastic over it, when I looked at the bottom IT STILL HAD THE PINS ON IT!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS?? I had to leave for the wedding in 1hr and still had to go home to put it on!!! She attempted to sew the dress right there as she kept saying Oh Noooo!! I was already very upset that it was NOT done, I was not about to let them butcher my dress in a rush and still have the nerve to charge me....so I walked out....pins and all. I would give them a negative if I could!!!The owner lies and will argue when something is wrong and tell you it's not wrong. They ruined my daughters prom dress! After searching for the perfect dress, we came here to have it hemmed up. That's it! My daughter is 5', so anything she got would need to be taken up. No other alterations needed. They called and said it was ready, it was still TOO long. I noticed the hem looked crappy but I didn't say anything since it wasn't finished. The lady started to tell my daughter to leave the back long so she could have a train, the dress was not meant to have a train. We told her "no"and she looked annoyed. So we come back on the due date and the dress was too high on 1 side. We told her it looked lopsided and she argued with us for several minutes. She even tried to fake measuring it to cover up that it was messed up. I also noticed some markings on the bottom and she told me it was just the light hitting it. She finally threw her tape measure and gave us a refund. We took it to another seamstress and when we pulled it out of the bag we could see yellow markings all over the bottom. The new seamstress showed us how bad it was damaged and to fix it would make it no longer floor length. She also said she didn't think those markings would come out. We took it to 2 different cleaners who both said the markings were unlikely to come out and we would have to sign a release. So we went back and told them they would have to pay for the dress. After arguing but finally having to admit it was ruined they refunded us for the dress. We went back to the store and could not find another one. With just a few days before prom, my daughter could not find another dress she liked and she had to borrow a dress. These people tried every trick to lie and convince us they did a good job. When they finally admitted it was ruined they said they had to send it to another lady and she did it. They are swindlers. Do not let them touch your stuff. They also don't take plastic so you are at their mercy if anything goes wrong! read more

CASH AND CHECK ONLY! No debit or credit cards accepted!!! Thanks to Google, I discovered this little alterations shop. It's not too far from where I live and has Saturday hours. It's tucked into a shopping center, but it wasn't too hard to find. Thanks Google maps! They are good at answering the phone when they can. I've only seem 2 ladies there. I don't know her name but the main lady I worked with was delightful. She took the time to find out how I wanted the pants altered. I had 3 pairs that needed to be himmed, 2 that needed to be taken in, and one that needed the hook/latch closure thing replaced. She had everything ready in a few days. I wasn't in a hurry to get them back and she really appreciated it not being a rush job. However, I know they will do what they can to accommodate jobs that need a faster turn around. The lady in front of me needed 2 shirts done by the next day. I think there was a rush fee, but they got it done. Overall, VERY reasonable prices. Very nice staff, clean fitting rooms, and great quality work. I'm glad I found them. I'm short and nothing ever fits, so a good seamstress is so important! I have an evening gown that I will be taking to them as well. read more

First and last time using A&D alterations. So firstly I was charged $17 just to get 1 pair of pants hemmed. I dropped them off on a Saturday to be ready by next Friday.. plenty of time! When I called Friday morning they could not find my pants and asked me to call 10 mins later and still nothing. They call me back 40 minutes later after stressing me out at work telling me they found my pants and that they were just now going to start working on them when I had given them plenty of time beforehand. Unprofessional, if u wish to still use their services I suggest paying AFTER the service. read more

The only bad thing is the changing room is a cabinet with a curtain, and a lady didn't check that it was occupied and opened the curtain on me only in my undies. read more

Got a bridesmaid dress hemmed here and it was $52. Another bridesmaid in the wedding had her dressed hemmed for $25, but she had gotten outfits altered here prior to this. So I wouldn't say their pricing is 100% fair. Also, the back clasp of my (new) dress was missing. On Saturday AM I had an Alteration Emergency: needed pants hemmed ASAP. (I was actually planning on taping them up if no luck here.)They are open 9-5 Saturday. I showed up at 10... greeted at the desk by a friendly seamstress. I explained my dilemma; "$2 extra for Same Day," she said. I promptly agreed. I tried on the pants, we agreed on a hem length. I've never used a seamstress for civilian clothes before (just my ASU alterations), so I didn't know what to expect as far as method and pricing. I wanted to get the sleeves of a dress I bought online let out. My dress was an off-white almost yellow-ish color with floral print. Obviously, not a material kept on hand, so they suggested I match a fabric from Wal-Mart. I came back with three different shades and she picked the *closest* match. Well, she ended up not using any of the material I bought. Instead, she used fabric from somewhere else on the dress. Usually, I'd be upset that a) I had to pay for fabric, on top of the fee for alterations; b) she ended up not using said fabric... and FYI, Wal-Mart will not let you return cut fabric, so wasted money there... oh well; and c) she cut a sliver from the slit in my dress, not a big deal, but I wish she would have called before doing so... However, will I go back? Yes! I appreciated that she recognized the fabric we chose was not going to match the dress. Instead, she tried to make it work without making too noticable of changes. It shows they care about their craft and workmanship... Can't put a price on that. read more

This is where I took my bridesmaids dress to be altered. It was ten days till the wedding and I had lost 40 pounds since ordering the dress originally, so I was a little worried. I don't have much experience getting alterations at all and my friends warned me that there might be a rush fee. I came in ten minutes before closing time and was greeted right away by all 3 people working. I also noticed right away that this business was half nail salon and half alterations. I was slightly skeptical, but the ladies showed me to the single changing room unit, got me up on the little pedestal in front of the mirror, and assessed what I needed done in about 5 minutes. It didn't feel rushed at all and you could tell they knew what they were doing. They stated the price would be $85 plus tax and that I could pick it up on Tuesday (this was ok Friday) at no extra charge for the short notice. I picked up the dress Wednesday (***THEY DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS AT ALL; ONLY CASH OR CHECK) with no issues and the fit was great. Both visits had me in and out in under ten minutes. Highly recommend! Although they really should look into accepting credit cards. read more

I have been coming to this alterations shop for over 10 years. The seamstresses are sweet and always do a great job on my alterations. I have never had an item that had to be returned or redone. There's a constant flow of customers and this shop can handle formal to company uniforms. I think they also do cleaning but I'm not sure on that. They also do embroidery. It's best to pay cash up front. Check payments take a while to clear the bank. The shop does not accept credit cards payments. I definitely recommend this location for your alterations. read more

I've taken in men's shirts, ties, and slacks for minor repairs or tailoring several times and they always do a fantastic job. They salvaged one fine pair of slacks I thought I might never wear to work again. Their prices are very reasonable and the turn-around is also very reasonable. Most jobs have been done in 2-3 days. Always done on time. They've never lost anything or had to spend a lot of time looking which can happen at some tailors. A few caveats: Bring cash or check because that's the only payment they accept. Most of the staff are not native English speakers so make sure you are very clear about what you want done. I have to work with non-native English speakers in my job so I am used to it, but if you are not then just have some patience. As long as you are clear about what you need done I'm sure they will get it right. Don't lose your claim ticket! They are pretty keen about this. I lost mine once and had to go find it. They wouldn't give it to me without the ticket. I actually appreciate this policy because I don't want the possibility of someone getting my nice clothes by accident. read more

Do not bring your bridesmaid dress here! was charged $100 dollars just to get a dress taken in and hemmed and it wasn't even done correctly! I still had plenty of fabric on both sides and was tripping over my dress even in my heels that I had worn when I tried on the dress. When I went back to ask for a refund, all they gave me back was $20 dollars and didn't even apologize for the poor work. Definitely won't be taking any dresses back here. read more

I hate to write a negative review, however sometimes they need to be written. I would not use this store for military alterations. Upon picking up my ABU hat and two blouses that I had dropped off for new rank to be put on, I noticed right away that the rank is not squared. They are also not the correct placement or even level. They were also not folded correctly, as you could see the over lap from the front. Before I dropped them off I asked if they were use to Air Force officer rank and they said yes. They did refund my money. But as I was leaving the store the "head lady" said, "I bet they will keep them that way." I guess what she meant by that was that I was lying and that I was just trying to get free alterations. Which of course is not true. I will have to take them somewhere else now. read more

A couple of months ago I needed an alteration done to a dress (my own idea of how to adjust it). I went to 3 alteration places in the area. None would do it. They each said it could not be done or did not understand how to do it. I came here...they looked at it and said, ok we can do it. So I don't take my clothes anywhere else anymore! Terrible customer service. Called ahead to get some patches sown onto my jacket, the employee told me that they would give me a good deal for $5 a patch. When I arrived and showed them the six patches I needed sown on, they upped the price to $6 and even admitted that they said $5 on the phone.
