Was so bummed when they weren't going to be part of the vendors at Fest 2024, glad that they figured it out at the last minute and I was able to see what everyone raved about.

    16" LARGE PIZZA

Best pizza I've ever had and best in Gainesville by far. For a town with so many strong options such as Piesanos and Gumby's, it's hard to pick a go to in town however Five Star Pizza makes it easy to make that decision. It's got great people at the front servicing you when you walk in. They're amazing at what they do and they honestly don't charge enough for how amazing the quality of the pizza is. You can see in the kitchen everything is clean and healthy and fresh most importantly. I'd recommend this spot to anyone who wants to eat pizza in Gainesville. Their sides are also fabulous definitely 5 stars in every regard as their name implies.

This is really one of my favorite local pizza spots! Aside from the fact that they stay open until 3 AM, the pizza is always hot, cheesy, and just overall amazing. I always recommend this spot to my friends and family when they come in town.

This is a great place for fast and cheap pizza. I ordered it online & it was ready by the time I drove there (about 10 min). The garlic rolls were kinda dry but the pizza and toppings were delicious!

Twenty years ago when I was a student at the University of Florida, I used to love Five Star Pizza and so did everyone I knew! It tasted like cardboard, but at $4.99 for a 16" plain cheese pie ($3.99 on the Monday following a Gator Football victory), you couldn't beat it! I passed through Gainesville last week for the first time in I don't know how long, so I had to stop at Five Star. First thing I noticed was that they were just as fast as they were 20 years ago. Back then if you ordered delivery whether on campus or off, it would usually arrive in 15 minutes on a regular weeknight (longer on the weekends). For this visit, I walked-in and ordered the typical 16" plain cheese pizza. The guy rang me up and told me that it would be about 10 minutes and then added, "Actually a little bit less. Only takes about 7 minutes in the oven". Next thing I noticed was that the price had gone up considerably in 20 years. Including tax, I paid $11.70 for a 16" plain cheese pizza. I couldn't believe it when he gave me my total. But I figured I hadn't had Five Star in years and may never have it again, so what the heck. But if it cost that much when I was in school I probably never would have ordered it. Last thing I noticed was that the pizza tasted a lot better than I had remembered. When I was a student, I knew Five Star wasn't good pizza, but I still enjoyed it. But when I tried it last week, I noted that either I had forgotten how good it was, or that it had gotten a lot better in 20 years. It still had the familiar flavor I was used to from Five Star. The crust and the cheese tasted pretty similar (but better). The crust was actualy similar to Papa John's crust. But the main difference was the sauce. There was a lot more sauce than I remembered there being during my college days, and it was a lot more flavorful. Overall, my favorite thing about Five Star is the nostalgia from my college days. And while it has gotten a lot better in 20 years, it is also a lot more expensive. I'm not sure whether or not it is worth what I paid. It probably wasn't, even though it was pretty good. But since I no longer live in Gainesville, there are a ton of options that are a lot better for about the same price, so if not for nostalgia, I probably would not pay $12 for Five Star. It definitely doesn't compare to pizza in the Northeast. But still, not bad. And definitely fast!

We showed up on graduation day so our wait was about 45 minutes. With so much to look at we didn't mind. I was so intrigued. I couldn't help but take so many photos. I wanted to explore it all! The place was packed, elbow to elbow. I had so much fun walking around and seeing all the art. I had a blast on the swing. There was so much to see. In one of the bathrooms, the walls were covered with children's games. And you won't have to worry about running out of toilet paper because there were a bunch of holders. We got seated outside. Our server came quick but gave us enough time to order. I ordered a pesto pizza with extra sausage and tomatoes. It took about 30 minutes to get our pizza but we knew it would take longer because of how busy it was. When I got my pizza it was piping hot. Pulled a slice off and it was loaded with sausage. A meat pizza! Impressive!!! It was delicious. The right amount of sauce. The slices were large. I liked it a lot. When we finished eating pizza the server brought the dessert menu. The coolest menu ever: it was a viewfinder!!!!! I had to order dessert just because of the menu. I got the chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting. It was a huge piece, moist, and the frosting had the right amount of sweet. It was worth every calorie. I was so excited about my food I forgot to take pictures. Oops! I can't wait to go back. Next time I'll be sure to get photos of my pizza! If you're looking for unique I suggest Satchel's. It should be a landmark for Gainesville.

I have come time and time again disappointed with the pizza size and the time it took to make it. Size: Pizza used to come in the size of their box! As you can see in my picture, that is no longer the case. It is no longer an actual square like its namesake but a rectangle. It reminds me of "all squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares." And while it makes me chuckle to think how SquareHouse should know that. I am still disappointed in paying for that much of a pizza when I could get a larger one to share with friends at the same price point elsewhere. Service: Now I understand they can get busy but one time I waited 25 minutes with only one person ahead of me for my food -- a before anyone says anything. I ordered their waffles. Another time, they never called my name. They have a speaker but don't use it. It is a food park with tables everywhere. If you don't use the speaker system and know folks sit further than you can scream, then I think they should give a beeper. Ambience: It's at the food park which is great as long as it's not raining bc spaces to sit under covered areas are limited. And bc it was previously partnered with Satchels it has the same vibe. Overall, go once if you haven't but just be ready for disappointment Update since writing to address the comments of the business owner: 1) When I say first opened, I meant when it was called SatchSquared. 2) Size of the pizza: You're right I looked at pictures and updated. They aren't squares but from one years ago. They definitely filled the box more. 3) I sincerely don't appreciate being told about waiting or orders ahead and phone calls. I have come here more than 20 times and my experiences are always the same. I've come at opening, during high traffic times, and etc. And I am not someone to review after one instance of a place, I like to give them chances. I have lived in Gainesville for 17 years, and I'm very well aware of being polite to residents. I have definitely sat in the tables in the covered area close to the pick up window and have had to ask if my food was ready bc my name was not called and just to find out it was ready. I gave a suggestion about using beepers like the other places. I'm sorry my review caused some upset feeling but I stand by it. Service is not great. If you wanted to discuss via email then you could've politely said that. I won't be returning. Thanks!

Our appetizer and drink orders taken, we set to decide whether to try the Greek offerings or the Italian! Both looked delicious and the reviews I read previously really set my mouth watering for pizza AND the souvlaki! Unfortunately, my husband got his good old standby, Chicken Parmesan. We both tried different medium pizzas and we ordered Calamari Fritta (but asked for the peppers to not be included) as our appetizer. Have you ever had super fresh REAL calamari? Sliced fresh and hand breaded and then served to you? I had one other time in Tarpon Springs, and this was just as incredibly dished up for us! Marinara sauce and a spicy sweet sauce like a Mae Ploy was also served with them and two nice lemon slices. Stupendous! Our drinks? Perfectly done-- considering our excellent waiter, AJ, didn't know what an Arnold Palmer even was! What a surprising, talented young man! My souvlaki! Absolutely to die for! Wowza! The side I got was the garlic broccolini and YUMMMMM! My husband's chicken parm was so good that he devoured it BEFORE I could even snap a picture! LOL Our pizzas were some of the best we've ever had. The crust is so delicious and they sure don't hold back on the toppings. I consumed half of mine without even realizing it. Wow. I got the Lil' Sicily that has pepperoni, sausage, ricotta, basil and oregano. The hubby chose the Scoula pie that has pepperoni, Italian sausage, ground beef, mushrooms, onions and green peppers. Both were out of this WORLD! Needless to say, I think we just found our newest favorite spot for dinner. So many Greek dishes to keep me happy and plenty of Italian ones to keep the husband happy too! Don't know why we hadn't stopped in before now to try this place!!
