And I discovered a bathroom sink without shut off valves. So, I needed those two items rectified. Further, I'm pretty well versed in plumbing as I would have/should have been 4th generation plumber... but I digress. This plumbing, effing weird. Shut off valves like everywhere. I mean, TWO main lines. Who does that?! And the water softener only goes to the hot water, again... who does that?! I suppose previous owners didn't want soft water to utility supplies, such as spigots and the basement cement sink. Which I get, as that is expensive and a waste. Okay, I'm off topic. I needed someone to walk me through the guts of my house to ensure I wasn't going mad. Nope, it's the house. But, Joe took the time to walk all the plumbing with me and much like GI JOE always said... KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE. At least I know where to crank things should shhhh hit the fan. Ya just never know out here; I've learned--tornado anyone? All in all for 2hrs of work and parts, about $330. ($165/hr plus cost of parts for anyone wondering.) I was told to call Lonnie Held, so I waited until morning (the 26th), and called, hoping they could help my stopped up sink today so I could deal with the mountain of dirty dishes! Around 3 I still had heard nothing from him so I called. I had to call 3 times before he answered and he said he was finishing up a job and a little behind but he would be over.
