This is a frustrating review to write because I've used Mario for 3+ years for regular HVAC tune…read moreups with no issue. He's always been responsive, helpful, and did a great job. However, I recently had a horrible experience with him and his team. Our HVAC unit wasn't working and we called Mario and his team to repair. They charged us $2,350 for a few pounds of refrigerant, sealant and 3-4 hours of labor. When the work was done, they claimed that they'd used gauges and detected that the leak was sealed. We sent a $545 payment on June 3 for the refrigerant and labor, a $350 payment on June 5 for the sealant and labor a $1,500 payment on June 12 for the repair of the leak. I asked for detailed receipts of the work four separate times and the detailed receipts were never sent over. On top of that, a few weeks later we had the same exact issue with our HVAC unit. When we called a different repair person, the refrigerant had dropped significantly AGAIN and we were told that the unit was still leaking. We reached out to Mario various times asking for receipts and explaining our frustration. As of today, we've gotten no response, no refund, and no promise to return and look into why the leak that they claimed that they'd fixed was not fixed. All in all we're out almost $2,400 with no true fix to the HVAC issue that we called Mario & his team for to begin with. I'm willing to remove this review or bump up my ratings if I get some sort of response. But at this point we've been waiting for a response and requesting receipts for over a month with no action.

Took care of it in a very reasonable amount of time, haven't had an issue at all since. He also made sure to reach out and see if everything was still operating as well as he had left it and the temp was at a comfortable level for myself and daughter. HIGHLY recommended, I will continue to reach out to him if the need ever arises. Thx Mario!

First visit: FABULOUS!…read more We purchased our home about 7-8mos back. In that time, we had a spigot pipe "pimple" but not burst, thankfully. And I discovered a bathroom sink without shut off valves. So, I needed those two items rectified. Further, I'm pretty well versed in plumbing as I would have/should have been 4th generation plumber... but I digress. This plumbing, effing weird. Shut off valves like everywhere. I mean, TWO main lines. Who does that?! And the water softener only goes to the hot water, again... who does that?! I suppose previous owners didn't want soft water to utility supplies, such as spigots and the basement cement sink. Which I get, as that is expensive and a waste. Okay, I'm off topic. I needed someone to walk me through the guts of my house to ensure I wasn't going mad. Nope, it's the house. But, Joe took the time to walk all the plumbing with me and much like GI JOE always said... KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE. At least I know where to crank things should shhhh hit the fan. Ya just never know out here; I've learned--tornado anyone? All in all for 2hrs of work and parts, about $330. ($165/hr plus cost of parts for anyone wondering.) They take card, but you'll be hit with that 4% charge. They also take cash and check, like it's 1980. Who didn't like the 80s?! FABULOUS JOB OUT THE GATE AND TO THE FINISH LINE. Dee's Plumbing is my official go-to. Bar none.

Dee came and gave an estimate and a thorough description of what was needed. The two men who came…read morewere very hard workers and also very polite. They had to come in and make many trips down the basement and always made sure the door was closed properly. They put drop cloths down and it was done with minimal mess. They had to dig outside and everything was put back in order. Fixed the problem and we were pleased with the results. We'll use them again if ever needed.

I had Pearson Plumbing come to my house in Rockford for a sewage backup in my finished basement…read more They were dishonest and incompetent. They claimed to have run a 2" blade 100 feet in a blocked pipe and said it was "Good To Go." The sewage back-up continued and two subsequent plumbers said Pearson could never have run a 2" blade 100 feet. Pearson came back to correct the issue, but did not have the promised hydrojetting equipment needed for the job. This was a waste of our time and money! Pearson could not find a clean out drain and wanted to charge extra for a different "access". Our new plumber easily found the clean out drain in the bathroom. BUYER BEWARE!! USE A DIFFERENT PLUMBER.

I've reviewed Pearson before, but just to recap…read more.. Since 2023, we have: -Installed new Gas Furnace -Installed new AC -Installed new humidifier -Installed condensation pump -Signed up for the No Problem Club program thing (seasonal services so I don't have to think) -Flushed the Water Heater And now, today, we repiped the entire house. From the main to each and every fixture. On recommendation of Brian Ceroni, who was at my house working the Rockford Water Project contract (he installed my water main), I requested Doug and Craig to do this job (which was already scheduled). They arrived promptly and with an apprentice. These three busted it out. Professional, clean, FRIENDLY. I did my best to stay out of the way, but got curious (and entirely too excited) about this job. Ha! It was a looooooong day for them, truly. And I felt bad wanting to ask a ton of questions after the work was done, but... it had to be done. They were patient with me and told me to stop apologizing. That's rare these days. I know exactly how all my plumbing works now. I know where all my valves are (so many! Per my request). The best part was getting in the shower tonight and I could immediately tell my water pressure was better, and the old 1959 galvanized plumbing noises were gone. I went into the basement after, just to see if there were any wet spots--so far, so good! This actually gives me hope that I can delay two total bathroom renovations until 2028. (I am a planner.) All in all, I cannot speak more highly about Pearson. I'm beyond stoked with them, I've never had a bad experience. Jane, in the office, is amazing too! They all are! The front desk gal (sorry don't know her name) took the time to explain some things to me when I went to drop off a check, and wow. No one has ever treated me like I'm bothering them or a burden. DO YOU KNOW HOW RARE THAT IS?! Pearson, and all the folks who have ever come to my house with Pearson... thank you. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU.
