I hoped it was just a damaged screen, but I wasn't entirely sure if there was deeper damage. The gentleman at the counter gave me a price quote and assured me it would only take about an hour, so I told him I'd be back the next day. ​I returned as planned and handed the phone over. Thankfully, it turned out to just be a screen issue after all! The repair itself was done incredibly quickly and efficiently. He even let me know to come back if I ran into any issues with his work, but everything has been perfect so far and I highly doubt I'll have any problems. ​The quality of work and the speed make it worth it, but the prices were definitely a bit higher than I initially expected. I ultimately decided on 4 stars because they charge an extra fee if you pay with a credit card, on top of the regular tax. Depending on what you're getting fixed, that credit card fee plus tax can easily add an extra $20+ onto your quoted price. I know a lot of restaurants are starting to do this nowadays, but I wasn't expecting it at a repair shop and wish I had known in advance so I could decide if I wanted to use a different payment method to avoid the surcharge. Ismail and his associate were polite and friendly. I left the phone with them and walked up and down Lexington Avenue to kill time. 20 minutes later, I got my phone back and it was good as new. I returned after three weeks from the repair, after my display screen wasn't registering. There was no breakage or crack nor was it dropped. They couldn't promise me my 90 day warranty after they couldn't find my card on file and also could not guarantee me that I would not have to pay AGAIN to repair the phone (I literally paid a few weeks ago). He also said he would not have given me a damaged phone, which I never claimed, I was actually happy with the original work. I just returned to the Apple Store and got it authentically repaired.
