These guys are amazing! I came in without an appointment. My hood latch was stuck / wouldn't open. It was looking like the only way in was going to cut through the radiator or cut a hole in the hood. Good news though! They were able to use their technical know-how to get the latch to release without damaging anything. I was much relieved to say the least! Well, I am fairly new to the Grass Valley area, so it's a bit harder starting from scratch (as compared to knowing most of the "go to" places where we lived before). I had a smaller collision/bodywork requirement in the area. I went to 3 places for quotes. The quotes were pretty much in the same price range. What stood Rolly's out from the others was Branden (well and his wife Lauren). He was knowledgeable, personable, tried to understand what I wanted, gave me a couple ways this repair could be completed. He kept me informed during the repair, advised me of a hidden issue and gave me options for that also. The repair came out great! I was quite pleased with the result. We are so happy with the work done on our truck by Rolly's after a fender bender. My husband is extremely particular about vehicles and he couldn't believe it when he couldn't see any signs of the repair -- no overspray from the paint, the parts were installed to factor specs, and it was as good as new (maybe better because it was used to start with and had flaws that were removed). Because of the distance we had to travel, they made everything easy so we could get a rental car and fit it into our time schedule for drop-off and pick-up. I took my white BMW to Rolly's after having had the right side smashed in pretty good by an SUV. The damage was quite extensive, and the opposing insurance company was less than terrific to work with. Luckily, I didn't have to work with them much, because Brandon handled EVERYTHING! So they deserve 5 stars simply for that. However, they're a body shop, and not a customer service shop, so I suppose I should base my rating in part on the quality of work they did. Easy enough: 5 stars ALL DAY LONG! Certain parts could not be replaced and had to be repaired, and I honestly didn't know how anyone could repair them, but Rolly's pulled it out. Body lines are perfect. Paint is perfect. They worked a great deal with me to have some additional work done, and that work was perfect as well. Lastly, I'll mention that my uncle is the General Manager of a large body shop in the Bay Area. We were together last week and I took him out to show off the repair work. He immediately put his General Manager hat on and began inspecting the repairs. Not only did he agree it looked great, but he used magnets and other certain techniques and confirmed that the work they did was HIGH QUALITY metal work, and not simply a bunch of filler. He was impressed, which only impressed me more. 5 Stars all day long. Hopefully I'll never have a reason to go back to a body shop, but if the need ever arises, I'd drive far out of my way if necessary to ensure Brandon and his team at Rolly's can do what they do, and so I can sit back and relax. Below is my story about Rolly's Auto Body, a business that has proven to me time and time again that they are by far the BEST auto body shop in Grass Valley. Not only are they HONEST, reliable and do a fantastic job at auto body repairs, they also go above & beyond to treat their customers with THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever experienced with any car related business. It is hard to find a auto body or service shop that you trust is not ripping you off, but I would bet my last dollar that they will always offer the most competitive price and do the best job in Nevada County. I have had a few too many trips to this shop than I would like to admit, so the following review will explain my story that leads me to giving a 5 star review, but I wanted to start off with the basics, so if you choose not to read further, you still know this is the place to go! The story is fun & a good read, but if you are pressed for time, simply proceed to final paragraph to find out my main reasoning behind the 5 stars! I initially went to Rolly's Auto Body because AAA guaranteed the work done on the vehicle for life through a AAA Approved shop and Rolly's was the closest approved shop. I wish my need for a good auto body was not so important, but finding these guys was god sent! Flashback to December 2014, I was 7 months pregnant & reported a "hit & run" to AAA. I was scheduled to drop off my car on my way to the airport to go home for the holidays so they could work on the vehicle while I was gone. It was 2:30 in the morning & I was backing out of the driveway on my way to drop my car at the shop en route to the airport when I smashed into a tree in my driveway. Tailgate ruined, glass everywhere and my husband already left to meet me at the shop. After a minor (i lie, it was major) panic attack, we just drop the car off like planned. It was the middle of the night and I needed to get to the airport, so I just left the car and figured I would call them in the morning. I think the humor of a very pregnant woman crashing her car on the way to drop it off for other repairs was the start of a great relationship. Unfortunately, I had to file a 2nd claim with AAA for the 2nd accident, which meant that my $500 deductible was now $1000, but I had thousands of dollars worth of damage done on 2 completely different parts of the car. Rolly's felt bad that I had gone through this and must have been in the holiday spirit, as they did a bit of bonus work at no cost to me and installed new headlights and something else (i forget). I knew these guys were amazing from the start, plus I felt drawn to them, as we definitely had a few laughs together over my situation. My second run in with Rolly's was a few months after my son was born, again in my driveway, and again backing out - except this time, I not only damaged my brand new car, but also hit my friends car. Both of us went to Rolly's and once again, they proved their ethical business approach and did a great job repairing my vehicle and hers. She has since taken her car back as well... My most recent encounter with Rolly's is really what gets them the 5 stars & has guaranteed that i will never get my vehicle repaired anywhere else. Another driveway incident but this time a neighbors and it was my dog, not me, that lead me to Rolly's. A few months ago, my dog got out and jumped on my neighbors car and scratched it up pretty good. I was devastated when I got the call that she would need to take it to a repair shop to get the scratches out. She first went to Tripps, where she was offered 2 quotes. One for aprox $100 to buff out & almost $600 if that didn't work. YIKES! Of course, I would be paying for the repairs, so I wanted to go to Rolly's for a second estimate. I figured my repeat business and past relationship would get me somewhere, plus, I just loved these guys and if I was paying anyone, I wanted it to be them! I decided it would be best if I went in to the shop to let them know that my neighbor would be bringing in her car and explain the story so they could put a face with the situation. They told me that the estimate she got from Tripps was fair, but they promised not to charge for the buffing if they needed to do more work. That right there saved me $100 but, I never expected what they actually did for me. Walking out, they assured me that "I had earned a FAIR price & they would take care of me" so I knew I was in good hands. Two days later my neighbor went to Rolly's and they took care of her on the spot! Within 15 minutes, they buffed out the scratches and told her that it was on them! I could not believe it! I almost cried! what a GREAT business to take care of a customer like this. Now, I hope I will not need to be such a regular at this shop in the future and my accident record gets better, but you can guarantee that I will never go to another shop if I need auto body work done & I know I am responsible for at least 3 others who feel the same! Have used their services twice, first was a major deer strike and when finished you could not tell if the car was ever in an accident. Throughout the whole process they were attentive and showed great concern. The second was a relatively minor damage to side panel and molding. I was more than satisfied with the quality, the fairness of the price and the attention to detail the first time. I just had it repaired again and I am thrilled with the results! This time he had to negotiate with the insurance company and would not accept the salvaged parts they sent to him to replace my fender. The people at Rolly's Body shop are very professional and honest. We where visiting Grass Valley from San Diego. On our last day I damaged the drivers side fender and it came loose. I thought that we could drive home like that but it was going to drag on the freeway and had to take it in. Luckily we found Rollys body shop. Brandon was very professional and very helpful. Our 2014 Black VW was struck by a deer, this is our family car and we had no rental coverage, needless to say, we needed it fixed quickly. Rolly's had us in and out in 5 days. The insurance was complicated to say the least on this and they stepped up and impressed us with professional work, quality parts, and outstanding customer service. He started with the easiest possible fix (clearing clogged drain holes I didn't even know existed) rather than taking apart the door (which is what I expected). This place really is as good as it gets I think the young mans name was Brandon-not sure. He was really really kind and understanding regarding my prius being low to the ground and the front fenders continually scrape and dent. I didn't want a brand new bumper because I'm just going to dent it again due to the fact it's so low. He pulled out the dent that was there and I have to say it looks as good as new. He did not insist as other body shops have that I get a new super expensive bumper that will be dented again----probably soon. He fixed it for pennies. What a good guy.
