But when I picked it up it was throwing all kinds of codes, my steering wheel cover is damaged, and the one keychain I had on my key that I've had since I was 12 was gone. I had to make an appointment for several weeks out just to get someone to look at the scratches on my hood. Then I took it over to Tripp's who looked at it on the spot, and gave me an extremely fair estimate. I felt there was no way the other place could beat it, so I scheduled to work with them. Rented a car with my gold status with Hertz after my car had been vandalized in San Jose and my Catalytic Converter sawn off and stolen. Had to rent a car and get home. Chose Hertz because im a gold member and love their service. Was told by the agent to return the car to Tripps as they are the Hertz in GV. Woman at the counter was very rude and tried to turn me away saying 'we do not accept drop offs'. I demanded she call Hertz to help(which she did not offer or accommodate me to try) and when she did they easily accepted the drop off. Rude.. I had an issue where I hit a rock on the road the and it popped out the back side panel over my wheel. Toyota told me it would probably cost $1000 and I needed to go to an auto body shop so I filed an insurance claim. My insurance company sent me to Tripp's. The man at the desk came to take a look. He then went and got some tools and in 10 minutes it was fixed. I asked him the cost of the job since my insurance has a deductible. He told me " No charge ". I was blown away. Wow! I took my car in for a minor repairs. The estimator examined the damage, said they could fix the problem easily. He took my car back and the repair was done in about 20 minutes and there was No CHARGE. I couldn't believe it. What a gift. A Huge Thank you to Darrell Tripp and crew. I'm a week away from a 2 week ski vacation back to Idaho, Wyoming and Montana. A deer runs into my truck on the passenger side. It jacks up the hood and the length of the passenger side of my new 2021 Chevy Colorado... Most concerning is the passenger head light. It's busted open. I called Gold Rush Chevy in Auburn and was told Chevy doesn't make replacement headlights yet, your truck is to new. I file a claim with my insurance company and they have 3 recommendations for body shops. I check customer reviews and Tripp's was at the top of their list. I take it to Tripp's, Darrell greets me and does a thorough walk around the truck and takes photos. I told him about my upcoming trip and that I can't get a replacement headlight. He calmly says, let me make a few phone calls. 5 minutes later he tells me How's 3 o'clock sound. I reply for what? To have a replacement headlight here so you can go on your trip! I literally get up and bow several times in appreciation. He replaced the headlight the next day and off I go on vacation. I brought it to the shop upon return and they began work on it. I had a minor dent in the tailgate of my 16 year old Chev. Colorado truck and a larger one that would have required replacing the tailgate for a very big bill. When i brought the car in to have the rear door assembly repaired, i was surprised he did not look at the door interior to confirm all parts needed. when we guess we are half likely to be wrong and in my case he was. I couldn't be more pleased with the high-quality work Tripp's did on my Mazda CX-5. It looks brand-new! I don't think it was easy, because my color is "soul red" and requires 3 layers of paint. You'd never know there was even a scratch. But here's the most impressive part...someone opened their car door while it was parked in the Tripp's lot and dented my door. I told Darryl I would pay for it because why should he have to pay for my bad luck? If I were in the Safeway parking lot and that happened, would I ask Safeway to pay for the repair? No. But Darryl covered it, anyway. They had the dent fixed, rubbed out the paint transfer, and gave it a complimentary wash to boot. Amazing. Tripp's did body work on my Subaru 2013 Crosstrek twice in the past year. The first time they patched a pair or cracks in the front fender and rear bumper basically with glue and buffing. The repair is nearly invisible. Then I was in a deer vs. car collision on Rte. 20, with a vaporized driver-side rear view mirror and multiple deep dents to the left side of the car. They replaced the mirror right away at no charge, so I could safely use the car for a long trip. Then did a terrific job on the rest of the repair, including repainting when I had a week to drop it off. Insurance covered most of the repair, so I can't comment on cost. But I liked everyone I dealt with, and they do fine work. read more

The repairs took two weeks longer than originally predicted but Tripps stayed in constant communication with me and updated me routinely.
