I am blown away by the service, honesty, personal attention, and thoughtfulness that i received here, not to mention plain old good manners. When i was stuck for time, with small children with me and only one day in the city to get this done, the receptionist agreed to have me come in for a quick assessment on their lunch hour! The tech guy, Oscar, came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Though it was clear that our (old, but in incredible shape) car was going to be totaled and they would not make any money off of us, he quickly responded when i asked for the photos from the assessment to send to my father-in-law, and took time on the phone with me personally to help me decide if i should get some repair work done anyway. Instead of trying to make money off of me (as a petit blonde female, i am used to getting the runaround from mechanics of all kinds) he carefully explained why it did not make sense and why they would not do the work. First time going and probably last, decent work but not all that great. Waited a week for my car to b returned but I also needed a wheel which I was very specific in detail to the point where nobody could order it wrong, however they ordered it wrong and had me driving on a bent wheel for over a month. I would call about 2/3 times a week to see progress and all they said was to wait. Week passed until I talked to the wheel manufacturer and they told me they had the wheel but wouldn't release it to me because they hadn't gotten paid, when I called Fix Auto and told them that they said they had already ordered the part and they had nothing to do with it anymore not wanting to pay for the right part. Almost 2 months went by before I got my whole car fixed not to mention the annoying endless calls and drives. read more

Terrible! I will never go back. They kept my car a week longer than they said they would which meant I had a larger rental bill. Then, when I finally got it back, they had cut the wire to my sunroof. When the sunroof didn't work they accused me of bringing it in broken. When I finally convinced them they cut wire dangling out from under the dash was the culprit they refused to fix it. Finally, after a long time of arguing with them they finally agreed to pay for the fix. Never again! I will go to Aiki Auto Body in ballard. read more

I mistakenly went to AutoQuest thinking it was a body shop when my 2005 Honda Accord was involved in a front-end collision. All the other body shops I had called or visited had tried to either forcefully manipulate me into working with them or had pushed me out the door and sent me packing if they could not directly assist me. Dominic, however, referred me personally to Fix Auto next door. He went over there personally to explain the situation and set me up with Andrew, who took amazing care of my car and fixed it up in no time. Amanda at the front desk was attentive, helpful and kind throughout the process and gave me email and phone call updates regularly to keep me in the loop. Danielle is an angel and she advocated with my insurance company, the rental company, and the entire Fix Auto staff to ensure I got the greatest service imaginable. John test drove my car with me after it was fixed, and when I mentioned a slight brake issue that I had noticed he mentioned it to Andrew. They kept my car another night, Danielle secured another one-day rental car even though my insurance company would not cover it (so Fix swallowed the rental bill), and Andrew got it over to Les Schwab for a complete brake inspection and dual rotor replacement. This is by far the best car service I have ever experienced in my entire life. When I left my sunglasses in my car the second time around Danielle made sure to secure them and hold them for me until I was able to return. I had almost no work during the process and was able to trust Fix Auto's bright and talented team to take care of all stops along the way. This is the auto body repair shop for me, though I hope not to be back any time soon, and I plan on visiting this shop for the rest of my life. I would recommend this place with no hesitation and I see it growing immensely in the next 5-10 years. My car was hit in my work parking lot and I was lucky that there was a note left and the person had already started an insurance claim. Alki Auto Body is a preferred shop for the insurance company. The estimate process was clear and helpful and I elected to use them for the work. The entire process was done professionally and all the staff was friendly and helpful. The large bumper dent was repaired and painted beatifully and they buffed out some other paint damage and touched up some other spots that were not involved in the insurance covered damage. Imagine my delight when told this was done at no charge! My car was returned looking brand new. I would not hesitate to heartily recommend this company. read more

Fix It Auto in Seattle are exceptional in the work they did for my VW Passat. I came in after experiencing a collision to my parked car and they helped through getting my car back to looking like it first did when it left the dealer car lot. Amanda and Andrew are very courteous and professional. The continuos communication via email, phone, and text with pictures of the work that was done impressed me through the whole process. The level of professionalism and detail to the even small details to repair my car makes me recommend them to anyone needing mechanical and body damage to their car. Terrible customer service. I'm a 21 year old female who doesn't know much about cars, but what I do know is that putting in a headlight is not a hard or tedious job. My headlight recently went out on my VW Jetta so I bought a new one at Napa Auto Parts which is just a few minutes away from Fix Auto. I've had a headlight replaced before by a mechanic and I watched him replace it so I know it doesn't take much work, however I'd rather not try it myself because I'm not good with that kind of stuff and I wouldn't want to risk it. I only went to Fix Auto because it was the closest auto repair place nearby & I'm glad it was for something small because I will NEVER take my car there again for any service I may need in the future. I go in and just ask that someone please replace my headlight, the lady at the front desk has me wait 10 minutes for one of their mechanics to come in. I'm not sure of his name but he was of Mexican decent, and he tells me that they don't have anybody who can do it today and that I need to schedule an appointment so I can discuss prices. PRICES?! For what?! Putting in a headlight? The other mechanic did it for free, no questions asked. I'm not one to demand free work but I was shocked that he couldn't just do it right then and there for how simple the job is. I said to him "I thought it was a simple job I didn't think I would need to schedule an appointment" he says to me "I wish it was that simple of a job but it's not." That's when I told him I've watched another mechanic do it and he just popped the headlight in. The man was clearly surprised when I said that because he didn't have much to say other than "People usually schedule weeks in advance for work done here." Obviously, this place was going to try and take advantage of me because I'm a young female and they figured I didn't know much and they could get off on me. read more

Went to Alki Auto Body for an estimate on my classic car (1960's) because it was a Liberty Mutual preferred shop. Oscar, who did the estimate, decided not to included some damage thinking that it was not really part of the incident. This totally screwed me over with the insurance company who blindly agreed with him, meaning that all the damage was not covered. Only after the person who did the damage called the insurance company was the damage finally covered. I think Oscar didn't included the damage because he didn't take the time to source the parts (trim pieces). Plus, he seemed reluctant to repair this classic car. Regardless, his laziness and/or dishonesty screwed me over. I went to another shop (Seatown Auto), who found a source for the parts in five minutes and worked with me closely to get the repair covered. I would tell anyone to steer clear of Alki Auto or be very weary. There are plenty of other shops in town. read more
