The morning my wife and I had to say goodbye to one of our most precious kitties, a valve burst in the wall of our main bathroom. The deluge and the damage matched the way we were already feeling. Found Fix It Quick Plumbing, on Yelp, liked what we saw and called them in a haze of both panic and grief. They took our situation very seriously, and said one of their plumbers would be coming right over. Who they sent turned out to be an angel who happened to be a top notch plumber. Tino intuitively felt we're dealing with more than just a massive, wet mess in our bathroom wall and under our home. He inspected the damage, going *under* our house to see the full extent of the damage. Tino was kind, compassionate when we told him that we lost one of our fur kids,totally professional and completely thorough. Tino explained exactly what happened and what would be needed to fix it. Quick. And that's exactly what he and Janiel (sp?) did today. They arrived exactly when they said they would. They talked us through what they were going to do. Made sure our floors and all bathroom fixtures were covered for protection. Tino answered any questions we had, which was a lot and he totally got that the world of burst valves and pipes and fixing them was overwhelming to us. Not only were Tino and Janiel (sp?) master plumbers, they were both incredibly sensitive that our two remaining cats (who were also grieving the loss of their brother) had no place to be locked away and made absolutely sure they didn't scamper out when they needed something from their truck. Our bathroom is now back to better than before working order. Tino even replaced the floats in both our toilets and recaulked the seal on the toilet in our front bathroom. Ok, so I just moved in to my new house. Day three the shower backs up, water is coming out of the toilet. Naturally I am panicked. My house is full of boxes and now this. I searched Yelp for the best plumber in Northridge and Armando at Fix it Quick plain bing came up. I called and honestly they were here about 20 minutes later. Very quick, much quicker than I thought. You could tell he knew what he was doing right away, which made me as someone who doesn't know anything about plumbing feel better. He walked the house and assessed the damage. He had the shower cleared out in no time and showed me on the camera how the lining of the pipes was very think and eventually this was going to happen again and he recommend a procedure. At first I was hesitant, but decided it was it my interest to do it. I didn't want to spend the money having bought a new house, but it made more sense to me to spend a little now and not have a problem later. We get in there and discover the true nature of the clog. A flange from a toilet someone installed was blocking the pipe flow. So picture a coin that fits perfectly in a tube. The right flow of water and it closes the pipe. So Armando immediately recognized the issue and showed me on the camera the item blocking and he knew exactly what it was. He made a sound recommendation on what to do. I wasn't able to afford the procedure right away - because new house. He gave me a very fair quote and honored it until I could get the work completed. They just finished drilling in to floor, cutting up my foundation, cutting out the pipe - and he knew right where it was. It was really amazing how he knew. They relaid the pipe, filled up the spot with concrete and made the finish very easy for the tile folks. Considering there was a jackhammer in my house and large scale cutting tools, the damage was minimal and there was no mess. They blocked everything off, and cleaned up very well after them selves. Obviously this was costly, but I also own a house and these things do happen. I could not recommend Armando and the plumbing team. He was thoughtful and knowledgeable about the work. He knows about the plumbing of homes and was very honest about his timeline and what it would take to do the work. They are the best plumbers in Northridge.
