We had a kitchen sink clogging. I contacted them and they dispatched their plumber within 2 hours. He snaked the line but before opening the drain from the garbage disposal, he checked that section and suggested that the garbage disposal is also clogged with grease. We bought one from the nearby Home Depot store and after he installed the new one he noted that the water from the garbage disposal is not draining. He opened and cleaned those sections and the problem was solved. I am not very sure that the garbage disposal really had to be replaced. I was charged $530 just for the replacement of a garbage disposal that I bought for about $150 from Home Depot, and the whole replacement just took less than 30 minutes. All in all I was charged $855 for 2 hours of good quality, professional work performed. The service was perfect, but I feel I was over charged by 40%. read more

5 stars for Phil! My kitchen sink had been leaking for months and I was having trouble identifying the source of the leak. I previously had 2 different plumbers out. The first replaced a part of the dishwasher piping which didn't solve the leak. The next re-caulked all around the sink. But water kept appearing under the sink. In the past couple of months we have found ourselves in need of a plumber twice! While searching for someone I came across Fix It Quick Plumbing. I sent a message via YELP asking for a quote and immediately received an affordable estimate. Armando, the owner, assisted me and dispatched Miguel to our home. The first job was to strap the water heater. Miguel showed up on time and was COVID compliant (mask, social distance, and shoe booties). The job was done in no time at all. The second call to Fix It Quick was for a backed up sewage line. You know that dreaded feeling when you flush the toilet and water rises elsewhere in your home? Well let me tell you, my first thought was - call Armando. Once again he responded to the call immediately and sent out Miguel and another guy to take care of the job. Within an hour a site inspection was being done and an estimate provided. Due to it being late in the day and getting dark outside, a decision was made to complete the clearing of the drain in the morning. 9:00AM sharp, Miguel arrived with his work partner and within an hour the plumbing was all fixed and water running freely throughout my home. Based on some of the good reviews I saw on Yelp, I wanted to give this business a chance since I felt I was already being priced gauged my current plumber. I called Armando and he answered right away and was able to promptly come out. He seemed professional and was on time. My plumbing problem was that the water pressure is likely too high and water is dripping out where the pressure regulator is. Obviously, the regulator needs to be replaced. After we've barely exchanged pleasantries, Armando looks at the regulator for about 3 seconds and says it's going to cost $2080 to replace. Fortunately, I already had a quote (which I knew was already too high at $820). I told Armando there's no way I can afford that. At first he said "that's the price the office has" and that he would have speak with someone to get any reduction. I said flat out that I'm not going to be able to pay that. Without blinking, he then reduces the price to $900. At this point, I'm already feeling this was a massive red flag. How did it go from over $2000 to $900 in less than 90 seconds? I told him I had a quote for $820, but I knew that was already on the high end. Again, without any hesitation, he said "Fine, we'll do $820". Armando did not do much inspection and didn't even check the water pressure. I let him know that I will pass, but thanked him for his time. About 1 hour later, I received a call from Armando asking what I thought about the price. I was honest and said I felt put off by the fact he basically tried to charge me nearly 3 times the previous quote. He told me again that these are simply the prices that the office has (even though, he appears to be listed as the owner on the Yelp page!). He gave me a final offer of $675 to replace the regulator and the release valve. However, both had already been replaced within the last 2 years. I got a quote from another plumber and they said I only needed the regulator replaced for a total of $275 - 9 times what Armando originally charged me! Overall, it felt a very shady practice. I would certainly say to any potential customers to use with caution and do their due-diligence in researching market pricing for typical plumbing issues. read more

They were able to clear the issue, but also let me know what the cause was (roots growing into a broken terracotta pipe). My water heaters were damaged by basement flooding. I called Fix It Quick first thing in the morning and Phil was here at 9am on the dot. He explained what he could do to try and get them to work and, when that was clearly not an option, explained clearly what the cost would be, and set to work installing the new ones. By the end of the day I had hot water again and, thanks to Phil, I don't have to worry about them getting damaged if my basement floods again! Do NOT hire this company!!! They put a snake in our main drain. First of all he used the wrong snake. It had a spring at the end of the snake with no blade or anything that could cut through the clog. He tried putting the snake in twice and said "it's not working, we need to use a hydro jet to clear it out." The snake was a "deal" for $60 to get you sucked into their more expensive service! I had a bad feeling about it all so I called Rockstar Plumbing and they opened the clog in no time! Was a very easy clog but Fix It Quick scared us by telling us that it's very serious and they think we may have to open our floor to replace the pipes which could potentially cost thousands of dollars. Got the job done with Rockstar for $100 in about 20 min time. I highly doubt they actually have 5 stars and most likely these are fake reviews. read more

I needed my earthquake shut off valve replaced. The gas company had determined it was leaking and turned off my gas on 12-27-22. It has been cold lol. Honestly the first plumber I called was a competitor of Fix It Quick Plumbing, the name of that company rhymes with soto sooter. Thank goodness, I got a second opinion, and then a third opinion. I now have a plumbing company in Fix It Quick Plumbing, that I will use until I'm dead because I believe in being loyal to businesses that provide economical AND quality work. They charged me half of what their competitors would have and did top notch job, which the Gas Company confirmed when they came out to turn the gas on again. I highly recommend Fix It Quick Plumbing.
