We ended up talking about a few laptop issues I had as well. You can tell she genuinely cares about her work and her customers. Everything was fixed fast, and the price was more than fair. After spending upwards of $350 and waiting over two weeks, I finally got my phone, which originally only needed a screen replacement. I hope this review can deter any customer who needs repair and encourage them to go elsewhere. In May, my iPhone 14 Pro Max showed a fixed white screen. This issue is common among iPhone 14 models and requires a screen replacement. In my case, the touch recognition still responded, Siri still worked, and I could still receive calls; it was obvious that the phone worked, but the screen had an issue. No simple remedy restored my phone, so I decided to go to my nearest tech repair shop. I met Nichole, who quickly diagnosed the phone with a "bad screen". The quote was $200, and she told me she would be done in less than 30 minutes. When I came back, she was finishing up and told me the phone seemed unusually hot, so she requested to take a longer look. After another 15 minutes, Nichole informed me that the phone was overheating, along with motherboard issues that were causing the screen to turn purple. This time, it would be 5-7 business days and another $100. After thinking of my options, I determined that my phone had never overheated, and $100 for a motherboard repair, which is $800 at Apple, is suspicious. I told her that I wanted to take the phone to get a second opinion. She responded aggressively, telling us that the phone was completely broken and that she could not give it back. I asked her to show us the "purple screen". She pulled out my phone that was halfway open and aggressively flipped the screen back and forth. After a minute or so, it flashed purple. I asked her, "I have never had an overheating issue. If the motherboard had been bad this whole time, why wouldn't the screen have been purple rather than white when I had it?" She responded with, "I don't have all the answers". I was forced to comply, and after the 5-7 business days had passed, I visited Nichole to check on my phone. I asked how the repair was going, and she told me the repair hadn't even begun because of an incoming part. She quoted another 1-2 weeks! Throughout this process, I am completely helpless and dependent on the words of Nichole. At this point, I haven't had my phone (that has my banking app, my work app, and all my communication) for a week. As I was leaving, she, sarcastically, told me to "have hope". I could not be more furious and helpless. It was Thursday of the second week, and I called the Fix Zone to speak with Nichole for an update on my phone. She told me that MY PHONE has yet to come in, and the delivery service quoted 3-5 business days from yesterday. I asked, confused, "But you still need to repair the phone once it arrives, so when should I expect my phone?" She told me they no longer repair the phone once it arrived, and she repeated: "They told me 3-5 business days from yesterday". I reiterated that this situation has been frustrating, as I have been without my phone for two weeks. Once again I asked her ", So should I expect it by the end of the week?" She rudely responded with, I CANNOT get any clearer than 3-5 business days from yesterday. As she was hanging up on me, I asked her for an estimated resale price for my phone, as the Fix Zone buys and sells used phones. She told me, "I'm sorry, I don't have the phone market memorized." I reminded her that they sell used phones, yet she again told me, "I don't have the phone market memorized". Of course, when my iPhone was ready for pickup, there were more issues regarding the agreed price, as she keeps all her important documents, such as our contact information and owed balance, on heart-shaped stick notes sitting on her desk. I have never written a review, but I felt especially responsible to discourage every customer from using the Fix Zone. I hope that people take their business elsewhere and save themselves the disappointment and frustration that I have experienced.
