Took my iPod in to get fixed, the headphone jack was no longer working! It was driving me crazy! Mark was really nice and super helpful, he explained everything to me up front, even that the repair would be difficult and could take a while. I appreciate that type of customer service cause I always felt like he was being honest with me so it reassured me his work would be honest. He called a few times with updates, answered all my questions and wasn't at all pushy about the repair or when I would need to pick it up (I needed time to wait for my paycheck). I got my iPod back in just about the same shape (casing was hard to remove and didn't fit back flush) however, Mark was honest about it and I'm not the type who cares really about that stuff, I just wanted to make sure it worked! It works and the price was fair, my only complaint was the casing, though Mark did offer to attempt to sit again, I opted out as we both agreed it may cause more damage than we both wanted. If you have iPhone issues this is the place. Mine took a 10 minute swim off the shores of Kauai and was completely DOA. Yes, it was backed up but "before" a very special vacation and we wanted the photos from that vacation. And no, I wasn't syncing all the photos to the cloud, something I have now corrected. No, drying it off as best as possible, wrapping it in a cloth or paper towel, then putting it in a sealed container of rice immediately after immersion for about 3 days is a nice idea, probably causes no further harm, and "might" work, however, don't expect too much. DO NOT power it up again for at least 3 days since that could short it out if there is ANY moisture and that WILL fry it. I know, that is what happened to mine and then numerous shops explained that the mother board was fried and the data could not be recovered. The truth is that the data is in the onboard memory which is nicely sealed and is very likely still intact but on an Apple phone this is encrypted at the motherboard level (ie only the motherboard knows the code to unencrypt the data; not even Apple can work around this so a new motherboard is no help). Flatline was amazing. They were optimistic but then had several failed attempts. They quoted me a price up front, all based on a free initial evaluation, then they quoted a reasonable fee but only if they could recover the data. It passed through a couple of techs without success. You could not ask for better people to work with, although on something like this you do need to be patient and keep following up. I will say this took about a year to get through but that is 90% on me since after the initial failure I kind of gave up, meaning to pick it up. Then a few months would pass and I would call them up and we'd decide to try something else. In the end though they were able to jury rig around a couple of key circuits on the motherboard, access the memory, and (with my password) recover all the photos, contacts, and other data on the phone. If you really want your data, talk to these folks. Ask for Mark if the going gets tough! read more

My iPod Touch screen had cracked when I accidentally dropped it onto the concrete while walking home. I repaired the screen by myself and everything turned out great except that my home button didn't click. When opening my iPod, I accidentally ripped off the home button flex cable. I went there today to get my home button fixed. The guy was really nice (I think his name was Parker?) and repaired my home button in about 30 minutes. My Verizon store recommended me this place. These guys that work are awesome, especially the owner. Really friendly guy. So I came in with my Galaxy S5 which had a broken camera. He ordered a replacement which took about 2 weeks to come because he could only order it from a vendor in China. As he starts to replace the camera, the front screen starts pulling the paint off. He immediately stops and shows me this. Also tells me that he's willing to reimburse me for everything (camera cost $70) because he can't swap out the camera without the paint pulling some of the paint off the screen. I tell him it's no big deal and to swap the whole thing so he does. Camera looks rough around the edges at the front but other than this, solid. He even offered me to come back in the future and he'd swap the whole screen out for another one for a free LCD screen. Yeah, I'm always taking my broken phones to this guy now. On top of this, I went back to my Verizon store and told them to always recommend these guys. read more

Parker is professional, reasonable and a straight forward employee. I literally just got my phone back and was happy with the result. My screen was elevated from the phone/motherboard (not sure what it's called) - I thought it was because it was cracked because I dropped it but turns out Parker found out it was because my iphone 5 battery EXPLODED. Yes, it exploded and caused the screen to be elevated. I at first thought I needed to change the whole screen but Parker was honest and told me to save my money and he would fix it with the proper materials.
