Terrible customer service, poor communication, and a complete waste of my time…read more I dropped off my Lenovo laptop on August 19, 2026 to have the hinge repaired. My receipt says "Tomorrow" for pickup, meaning I was told it would be ready on August 20. I couldn't make it on the 20th, so I came on August 21, giving him an extra day. When I handed Nick my receipt, he started scrambling around looking for my laptop and then asked me to give him another 10-15 minutes to fix it. Clearly, the laptop was not ready as promised. He also could not find my charging cord at first and had to look around multiple times before locating it. When he put the laptop back together, it was poorly assembled with visible gaps and open spaces. Nick told me it still needed to be glued and asked me to come back AGAIN later that day. I told him I live far away and could not keep making trips back and forth. Nick then gave me another option: he said he would finish the laptop and personally leave it with the tailor lady in the store so I could pick it up from her. He was very specific about this arrangement and even clearly told me that the tailor lady only accepts cash or Zelle and does not accept cards. Based on how detailed his instructions were, I had every reason to believe my laptop would actually be left with her as promised. I came back on August 22 specifically to pick up my laptop from the tailor lady. She told me Nick never gave her my laptop. So now I have made multiple unnecessary trips, spent time and gas driving back and forth, followed Nick's exact pickup instructions, and I STILL do not have my laptop. I was told I now have to come back AGAIN on Monday when Nick returns. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Nick has repeatedly told me something would be done and then failed to follow through. What should have been a simple hinge repair has turned into a poorly assembled laptop, a temporarily misplaced charging cord, multiple wasted trips, and repeated promises that were not kept. I will update this review after Monday to document whether my laptop is finally repaired properly and returned to me.

My four-year-old son recently damaged the screen of his iPad Mini for the second time. My previous experience with a different repair shop was lackluster, primarily because their three-month warranty expired just before the screen died again. In contrast, Gadget Parts distinguishes itself by offering a robust one-year warranty, usually unheard of. Upon dropping off the device, it was quickly repaired and ready for collection the next day. I particularly appreciated their hassle free approach to the warranty: it is registered directly to the device, no need for the original physical receipts. I'm so glad to have rediscovered Gadget Parts and would highly recommend them for any Apple device repairs. Hopefully, I won't have to come back any time soon!

The cost of the screen replacement was lower than I was expecting based off what I was reading online for other stores. I also want to commend him for his honesty: after I told him about the problem my Nintendo Switch was having, he explained that he might be able to fix the GPU problem, but he wasn't comfortable doing so and taking my money when it may run into the same problem again in a few days or weeks. I highly recommend having your electronics repaired here and will definitely be taking any future electronics to him for fixing!

So i called this business to ask for an estimate for a screen replacement for galaxy they told me $150 which I figured was a good price since everywhere else they were charging me 250 + ... i was busy so I had my cousin drop off my phone to them. I had no phone so my cousin had no way of getting a hold of me but I guess he was told by the same person I spoke to on the phone that they would have to replace my frame with a black instead of violet which is the color of my phone. He insisted that the violet color was an extra $100 to order. Since I couldn't pay anymore than 150 my cousin left my phone to him anyway. My phone was done the next day and my phone looks terrible. It looks like 5 year old replaced my screen and to top it off there was a tiny chip on the screenn. Also the frame wasn't even glued down properly and it's coming out of place. The screen cracked because I tried to press down lightly to get the frame to snap back into place. The glass was not worth $150 it felt like cheap plastic that looks like glass. I was never even told that the screen wouldn't be fingerprint compatible. My phone stopped charging because this man told my friend to make sure to have the phone with a case because the frame and the back/battery were not properly installed. As of today my phone no longer charges and the screen won't turn on it's completely dark. Also when i turned my phone on some of the settings were changed which means they must've went thru my phone (we will get to that later) .... I contemplated a few days if I should go speak to this person and explain to him what happened he could maybe replace my screen and this time with the original colored frame without the extra charge instead as soon as I began explaining to him he cut me off and said there was nothing he can do and that they didn't do refunds I tried to tell him that I was told one thing and then was told another and that the quality of the screen he installed was not good. He lied and said he had told me over the phone that the screen was after market. He never mentioned any of this otherwise I wouldn't have gone to him. Why would I agree to pay that much money for a cheap ass screen and a different color frame. ? He kept saying that he had proof that he did inform me of this and he said he would pull up his landline to show me the phone call where he stated this. I told him I would love to hear it and then he begins to cuss me out telling me to get the fuck out of his store and as I'm walking out he begins to charge at me and tells me to come back and fight him. I was shocked I couldn't believe that this guy really was treating me this way because I questioned his work which was not worth the money I paid. Then as I'm driving home my phone that he fixed completely blocks my network and won't read my SIM card or eSIM. I can almost guarantee he had a way to access my phone and since he was mad he made sure I could never use my phone again. And if he did that to me I can only imagine how many people he has done this too. He probably stores everyone's data from their phone. To anyone thinking of going here please don't. Idk how this guy is still in business he is no professional whatsoever. If you need a screen replacement your best bet would be to buy the stuff off Amazon and try to do it yourself I guarantee you can do a better

As usual, the entire process took less than 10 minutes, and they even offer a couch for customers to sit and wait. I especially love how their price remains the exact same as it has been the past couple of years. Every other place that I've called tried charging me double, which is just plain stupid. The place is still in the Bolsa Mini Mall plaza, but they've relocated to the space next to September and near the staircase. The shop is a bit smaller, but its impressive customer service and quality remain unbeatable. The husband and wife team are incredibly sweet and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Went into Flatline Repair today to fix the pretty much shattered screen on my iPhone 4S. Shervin was able to fix my phone within 30 minutes of me arriving which is impressive and the new screen is absolutely wonderful. This is such a great option to have considering getting the acreen fixed with Apple will cost at least $150 and I only paid $70 to get a brand new screen with a 90 day warranty on the priduct! My phone works better than ever and am extremely happy with the results. Parker and Shervin are very friendly and are great at what they do. While I was at their shop, they fixed my phone, gave someone back their phone which when they brought it in had no idea what was wrong an the guys found and fixed the problem with ease and another person came in with water damage to an iPhone 5 which they are able to fix at a reasonable price especially considering the work involved. If anything else happens to my phone I will definitely take it to these guys and will refer anyone I know that runs into a problem with their iPhones. read more

This is the second time I've got to Flatline Repair and I think it is time I reported my experiences. First time I dove into a pool with my iPhone in the bathing suit. Crap. I immediately got out of the water, removed the phone and buried it into a tupperware of rice, then contacted Flatline. I was told to power phone down immediately and dry the device, then put in a warm, airy location. Do not put in rice as it can suffocate and definitely don't snap on the Tupperware lid. The water needs to evaporate. This is stuff I never thought of. Then I was told to get it to Mark, at the shop, immediately. The iPhone fully recovered. This time I put my phone in my Levi pocket with a pill case. As I contorted in my seat the pill case cracked the lens of my iPhone. Back to Flatline and within twenty minutes and a very reasonable fee I am back out taking pictures. I would recommend Flatline repair to anyone in need for phones, notebooks, laptops - you name the device. read more

I am so impressed! I took my shattered iPad to them, wondering if I was going to have to give a pint of blood to have it fixed. Not so. While Parker looked at it, the other guys gave me helpful suggestions on using my Clam Case. Then Parker gave me a price and a time frame. The price was totally acceptable. The time frame? I could have waited. Awesome! They are located in Old World Village, across from Costco. Plenty of parking. Before I went I wanted to make sure they were still in Old World Village, so I emailed them. The response was quick. They are friendly. They did not talk down to me. They did a great job. Flatline repair saved the day yet again!!! They promptly fixed the issue with my phone and replaced the cracked screen on tablet. Besides that it's conveniently located off the 405 freeway at Beach Blvd inside Old World Village where you can get a great parking spot and enjoy a cup of coffee, eat a burger, or bratwurst while you wait!! Should have gone here first! I shattered the front screen of my iPhone and took it somewhere else to get fixed only to have to go back twice to have them re-do it, obviously they didn't know what they were doing because again my phone screen stopped working for a third time. Took it here and it now works like it did before I dropped it, and he was able to do it in half the time the other place could, thanks! Worth the drive to get it fixed right :) read more

The screen on my iPhone was completely busted after dropping it. I called around all the places in Irvine and I was lucky to stumble upon Flatline. They have the best price in the area, and it beats driving all the way to Westminster. Both of the guys working there were very friendly and helpful, which as a technology challenged girl is very important! They fixed it super quickly and it looks great! Mark H took fantastic care of me, I even had my sweet little black pug Spartacus with me and he welcomed him in which made the experience perfect. My iPhone 6 had a problem with very low sound volume from the ear loudspeaker, I went to other repair shops prior to finding Flatline Repair. None of the other shops could fix the problem, but Mark of Flatline indicated that he probably could fix the problem. I went to the shop, and sure enough, he fixed the problem in a very short time. Unfortunately, the first action didn't work. However, Rex warned me of this and took more extensive action the second go around: This time it worked! I had my IPhone back in about 1 1/2 hours. FryedPhones is a great local business for HB residents. It is conveniently located, and the service is top notch. Now I know where to go for Iphone and computer problems.
