Located towards the west end of the Pearl Street Pedestrian Mall, Fjallraven Boulder specializes in terrific outdoor wear. They also carry really great backpacks that are extremely popular, and in a variety of really cool colors. On this visit, I received excellent customer service from Patrick and Chris. Both were pleasant, professional, and patient. I never felt pressured, and they made a good sale as a result. It was a very good shopping experience. read more

One of my favorite brands! Great quality stuff that I don't just use for outdoors! The classic backpack is always a great product to start with. It's not the most comfy for long hikes though, but I love to use it when going out to the museum or something since I like carrying backpacks more. I also love the outdoor leggings. I found the fabric to be kind of itchy in the beginning but now they're fine and awesome for hiking! The wool sweater I have is so so warm and I always wear it on the coldest days. Additionally, I have the beanie which is super comfortable and a great addition to your wardrobe in general and for outdoors. I have the bigger backpack that is not the classic shape but more of like a normal backpack look and that one is great. It is kind of big for a hike, but I use it for school because it has a great laptop sleeve and the pockets in front have so much versatility. Highly recommend the store and brand because the people are always helpful and the products are good. read more

This was my first time coming into a Fjällräven store and was pleasantly surprised with how attentive and knowledgeable the staff was. At least four staff members helped and they all knew the products well enough to make suggestions for me based on my needs. Bummer. Bought a backpack for my 8th grader for school..... $120- the store talked up the warranty and quality while making the sale. Backpack was used by 8th grader for school books only ... no trekking, expedition or trail use. After 2 months of being an 8th grade school backpack ... it began to fall apart in the stitching and a less significant area (draw strong). Brought it into the store and was told it would take @ 6 weeks maybe sooner to get it back. I was offered 20% off if I wanted to buy another pack. I need to buy another one for him ... because he needs a school backpack....but will go through backcountry.com or another seller that will back up the product immediately. Kind of a bummer because I think a less expensive one made by a different co. would have held up longer than a few months and if purchased elsewhere they would have replaced it. WARNING .... they may back up the product and fix it eventually .... but it is a long wait ... and that kind of sucks when the product goes bad so quickly from every day use. In fairness .... have bought other items that 6months in have held up .... but would not recommend their customer service ...or the way they stand behind the product .... even though the hype it at the time of purchase. read more

I went shopping all over Boulder at all the typical outdoor stores for some decent back country ski pants. Didn't really find anything that incredible. My last stop was this shop on Pearl. What a breath of fresh air! The salesperson (Mary Beth) was really nice and helpful. After I told her what I was looking for she showed me one of their newer lines for outdoor ski wear and after I tried them on I was blown away. Exactly what I was hoping to find. Plenty of pockets, proper venting for when you are really working, zipper for adjusting your pants for whatever type of boot you are wearing , fit was great, not too tight or to baggy, and very comfortable for the kind of movement you do in back country skiing. They provide great support for their products too. Next time I need outdoor gear, I will start here! read more

Oh man! In a place already dominated by outdoor gear, I didn't think a new kid on the block could hang. It turns out that this company has been around since the 60's and is way more environmentally friendly than Patagonia. They're not concerned with flashy colors, and instead have clothes that are timeless and well crafted. Since I'm always walking by, I finally bit the bullet and purchased a couple sweatshirt/sweaters and a pair of their shorts. They're my new staples and I can't get enough of the fabrics they use, extremely high quality. The clothes are solid, the folks are always in good spirits and they even do Thursday night hikes, which ended with a surprise free beer!? It's great see a much-needed quality store holding their own in the West Pearl neighborhood. Thanks for moving in, Fjallraven. read more

First of all, Boulder has a Fjallraven store?! The guy working here pulled out all the different kankens to find the color/size/style I wanted. And I left with no regrets. I might go get another.. I spend thousands of dollars in that store every year they all know me when I walk in it was nice. I bought two pairs of pants so I had them cut to size 3 weeks went by got one pair back they lost the other pair they found the other pair that I bought thrown in some bin then when I got the pair back l signed for the other pair at the front desk I said thank you left the store 10 feet out the door a man that work thier made a big seen saying loud that I stole them like grab them out of my hand and said if you come back here again I call the cops I went back in the store and grabbed them from him and left never in my live I've been treated that way I feel sorry for Ken she has idiots working for her read more

The store is very inviting and is covered in all the gear you'd ever want if you had the money. If you ever stop by - and you definitely should, even if you are browsing - see if Jennifer is there. Even if you are not planning to get anything, find and talk to her; she is incredibly helpful and knowledge in not only Fjallraven gear, but general hiking/outdoor experience. Wow!! This store is the best of the best. Drove up from Englewood to Boulder during a CU Buffs game and fought the traffic and crowds just for this store. It did not disappoint. Jenny and Jordan welcomed us like we were family and gave us a great deal on a pair of pants and a beautiful shirt for my son's birthday.
