That said, the dentist went "above and beyond"…read morefor us and I wanted to give back the same :) My daughter started her braces journey about a year ago. While she required a fair amount of work, it's been easy and straightforward. We put off braces for a while as she wasn't ready mentally. Eventually we had to jump in either way. Thankfully the team here has been fantastic. My daughter looks forward to her appointments and has really stepped up in responsibility. I believe that is from the support and guidance of the team here. The dentists are talented, honest, and dedicated. The assistants are incredibly kind and gentle. Labor Day weekend (offices closed) I reached out regarding a "dental emergency". The dentist was ready for us almost immediately. While their high expertise won our business, the positive environment and dedication is the cherry on top. Thank you again!

It was very painful for her so morning we were trying every orthodontist in town, trying to get her in for an emergency visit. We went to three orthodontists and were turned away every time. This group took us in even before they had opened and treated us like family. They removed her broken retainer and even polished the cement off her teeth to make sure she was comfortable. My daughter was so happy and it made the rest of our trip! I tried to pay, but they refused and said they were happy to help. We are so grateful!!! Thank you so much for all of your help!

I waited to see if the pain would subside, but it continued, so I googled dentists and found Dr. Daniel Haeussner on Yelp. Called and talked to Kara, who was so kind a welcoming and they fit me in the same day to see what was going on. Everything from their lovely office, to their friendly staff, to their service was top notch. Kim, my dental assistant, quickly put me at ease and assured we'd address what the issue is as she took X-rays and made me comfortable. Dr. Haeussner came in and let me know everything looked good in the X-ray. He asked if I had been stressed lately (who hasn't!? But my job has been very stressful lately) and thought I may be grinding my teeth. He asked if I had also been experiencing headaches, which last week I had terrible headaches, so much so I got a Covid test just to be sure! He did a bite test, and even when I thought there is no way this pain is coming from grinding, he was sweet and did another one just to ease my concerns. He recommended a warm compress and anti-inflammatory. I could not believe this was causing this sort of pain, so I was so relieved to hear the news! I thought for sure I needed emergency filling or root canal. My dad is a dentist in Michigan and so this was my first experience outside of family. Dr. Haeussner assured me there were no major concerns and I appreciated his honest, sincere compassion with the situation. Funny enough, we laughed how my dad is also named Daniel, and I saw the Dr. Dan of St. Augustine. Anyone who is looking for a dentist, look no further! And this is coming from the daughter of a dentist. Thank you Kara, Kim and Dr. Haeussner for taking care of me while I was away!

At best this place is shady…read more At worst they are running a scam that people should be aware of, which is why I decided to leave this review. I am new to the area and needed to find a dentist. So, I went to my insurance website, saw that Coast Dental was in network, and I was able to make an appointment for the next day. I filled out all the registration forms that night. So far, so good. The next morning I get a voicemail saying they ran my insurance and it came back saying the X-rays for today would be $580 out of pocket. My dental insurance is unused and covers 100% of preventive care, so this makes no sense. I call the insurance company. The insurance company says the dentist is in network and I'm 100% covered for a full mouth X-ray, which fully covers all 3 of the X-rays tha they want to do at the first appointment. Weird... So, why the $580 out of pocket, right?!? The insurance representative tells me they have split the X-rays into two billing codes - full mouth and periodontal. Here comes the scam. The dental office knows that insurance will fully cover the full mouth X-ray billing code but deny the periodontal, because it's already covered under the full mouth X-ray. The dentist office requires the patient to fully pay for the periodontal - $580!!! Which is outrageously high for one X-ray - and says you can request a refund of that charge later. Coast Dental knows they could easily fix this problem by only using the billing code for a full mouth X-ray. They are clearly doing this with malicious intent. I said to the lady at the desk who handles billing to just submit the proper billing code like my insurance company said to do - and that they'd pay for - and was told all of the following red flags: "It's corporate policy to do it this way" "The manager isn't in today. Only the manager can change the billing codes" "The manager is based out of Tampa. I don't know when she'll be in again" "You have to pay the full amount today and then request a refund for the $580". Can you imagine how impossible it would be to get a refund from these people for $580? I told the lady at the desk that this place is obviously shady and she made a face like she knows they are taking advantage of people and it makes her sad that she works there. If the nice lady behind the desk ever sees this - you shouldn't work for a company with no ethics. They will find a way to take advantage of you just like they do to customers. What they are doing is shameful. Final note: My insurance company said $580 for these X-rays was the highest quote they'd ever heard. Another GIANT red flag that refund would never come. Do with this information what you will, but if you read this, don't say I didn't warn you!

The dental assistant met me with the necessary paperwork for my procedure (no confusion at all). I need two crowns. My insurance will only pay for one a year. They were completely agreeable with waiting to do the second crown next year. As Dr. Harmani expressed, "I have a Mercedes mouth" since I have sent $$$ having almost every tooth crowned. I am accustomed to spending many painful hours in the dental chair. Dental visits are not my favorite, but Dr. Harmani and her staff are excellent at their job and made me feel at ease. There was no pain (not even with the injection) and the procedure took much less time than I am accustomed to. I would recommend Coast Dental, Palm Coast.

When I told her no one said anything about that, she doubled down and said I needed a referral. No apology. No accountability. When I went back in to ask for the manager's name, she once again brings up that I needed a referral. I have never experienced a person who hates others so much that she cannot handle a public-facing job. Sad and pathetic. And, yes, after her telling me in so many words it was my fault for not knowing I needed a referral, I used inappropriate language as I left. However, this person was acting like the term I used.

I scheduled my appointment a week in advance, thinking everything was set for my routine 6-month cleaning. I even came early with my husband for his appointment, hoping they might see me sooner. The receptionist who refused to give her name, the lady with a tattoo on her chest was extremely rude and unprofessional. She acts like she owns the company with the way she talks to people. She clearly doesn't care about customer service or how she treats patients. When I arrived, she told me my 10 AM appointment wasn't valid for deep cleaning and that I could "just leave." She even claimed she had called me to cancel, but when I showed her my call logs, there were no missed calls at all. If they can't even manage appointments properly or show basic courtesy, how can anyone trust them with their dental care? It's unbelievable how poorly they handle their customers. Please don't waste your time or energy here. There are plenty of other dental offices that actually value their patients and treat them with respect. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else!
