I saw all the negative reviews listed on here and still came considering my car needed a clean desperately. I got the $30 wash and clean and it was done horribly. My grandmother would of done a better job vacuuming. The dust on the center console and cup holder is still there and dirty. They didn't even dry up all the wet spots on the windows. This was my first time coming here and it will be my last. Flagship has never given me any of these problems. I will definitely continue my business with them instead. If you need a normal wash go ahead but anything else additional is a complete waste of money. read more

I knew I was overdue for a car wash and interior cleaning when I saw a layer of dust and a dead gnat on my dashboard. I saw the bad ratings for Embassy Carwash but thought, "how bad could it be?" Hubby and I tried this place on a Tuesday afternoon and although we really wanted to like this place since they're close by...we hated it. It was a complete waste of $12 plus tip. From vacuuming to wiping down the car (external and internal) was horrible. Left water spots and streaks on the front window and one of the back windows, didn't wipe down the inside because the dash still had dust just sitting there. Seriously a waste of money. No wonder people go down the street for self wash. I honestly don't want to hurt there business but I'm doing this as a public service. Had to wash the car after paying for the full package. Left the back interior completely un-vacuumed. Simonized right over dust and dirt on the floors and doors. Didn't vacuum beyond the front two seats. Left all sorts bug and whatever splatter on the front of the car. Had to complain to them to get more than one person to do *anything* other than wipe down the windows. And they somehow scratched the door on passenger side. Worst. Wash. Ever. Save your money and do it yourself ... you'll have to afterwards anyway. read more

Horrible job. Every time I have to have them wipe things down again. Inside of window they will use the same rags they used to clean the tires with leaving them dirtier then when I went. Have given them multiple attempts but never once least there happy. Always have dirty spots all over the car. I refuse to ever go back. It's a complete waist of money and time. read more

I paid $30 for a less than 10 min in and out. I was still watching the merchandise inside when I was told that my car was ready....what ?!. I don't know what kind of vacuum they have but the seats and floor were still dirty when I left. They did a mediocre vacuum, power wash it. Wiped the water...Done. I asked why the seats, stirring wheel, doors, everywhere still dirty. I was told that I need to pay extra if I wanted them cleaned since it's detailed cleaning. I went back to the office and complained but she said I have to pay $10 extra for them to lightly clean the inside with windex and wax it...I have leather seats. How can y clean leather with windex? You'd definitely save some money just going through a gas station car wash... same results. I really try giving this place so many chances, but after paying $28 for the "premium wash" which is the "all works package" just to get back a car with dirt spots and dusty tires (which I can't understand how the water doesn't manage to hit when you pay for a wash under), I can't understand how I'm supposed to continue going back or being satisfied. Sucks, bc the only reason I gave it stars is because it is fast, and the people who dry your car in under 30 seconds are nice. But seriously? Oh and my mats were so soaked, I couldn't step in my Jeep, so I had to ask if they could at least dry them, but the inside wasn't even wiped for dust or anything!! This was all-around the worst car washing service I've experienced. 1. Logistics is horrible. They're located off a busy street in a heavily populated location. I literally got into a screaming match because I 'cut the line'; however, i had no idea the line wrapped past the location. I'm surprised there are negative reviews on here. I took my car because I just wanted something cheap, fast, and a basic clean. There were coupons on their website so I got a super wash (normally $17) for $14. They vacuumed the inside, then the car went through the auto wash, and then they wiped down the dashboard/cupholders and dried the outside. Customer service was great, everyone was pleasant. I was given a gift certificate for detailing almost a year ago. However, I misplaced it a few weeks later. Knowing it was about to expire, I had been up several nights - quite late - trying to find it. Frustrated, I wrote to them and asked if there was any way they could replace it. Absolutely the worst car wash I've ever had!!! I'm pretty sure regular rainfall has washed my vehicle better! There's still dirt on the outside and the inside looks the exact same! It looks like the vacuum was off and they took a dirty rag and just moved the dust and dirt around a little. I paid the highest premium price and I received the same service or worse than the lowest regular price. You'd get a better wash at a local school fundraiser car wash. If you want to throw your money away, this is the place for you! I seldom attach myself to a business but this is an exception. Service is superb. The Manager, Ms. Beth, is an outstanding individual in providing customer service. Everyone who works in this place show extra effort to clean the vehicles. If you are not satisfied, they go over to ensure you are good to go. I see that certain times on weekends the place is busy and they may miss one thing or two. I suggest just bring it to staffs' attention so they can fix it. This has been my experience overall. Just to make my point, I travel extra 3 miles to come here after getting disappointed at another place. I highly recommended this business to Fairfax residents. read more

I think some of the other reviewers have a higher than reality expectation for what you are getting here. There is no such thing as an Autowash where the car comes out spotless on the other side, or dry for that matter. That requires actual detailing, which is more like $100. Now some places I've been to have people standing by to scrub the wheels and stuff as the car enters, but even then the car isn't 100% spotless. This place does have a military discount. They washed the mats, wiped the windows, and the Autowash did what was expected. 100% worth the cash. I will be back! read more

I brought my car here yesterday to use the last of four free platinum car washes that my parents had bought through a groupon. The carwash itself was fine but their sign on the street says "brushless" but when we got around back it was clearly not a brushless wash. It was ALL brushes. I try not to take my cars through brush washes because it's a great way to pick up scratches. After they hand dried the car we got in and our floor mats were completely soaked from water that the dryers tracked in, there was also water on the center console and interior panels plus they didn't vacuum the floor in the back seats. My car is super clean inside, it's rare that anything or anyone even goes in the back seat so it's hard to understand why the back seat floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed. 1 star because of the false advertising, not vacuuming properly and leaving water all over the place inside my car. read more

I was once a big fan of this place because of their efficiency. BUT, I always felt that they did a poor job on the interior of the car for the price. That said, I came back again and again and again. Then a few weeks ago they lost business forever. I took my car through and when they raised the towel to indicate that it was done, I discovered that they had not wiped down my interior dash. It had been sprayed with their cleaning agent, but was dripping wet. When I asked for a little assistance to clean it up, one of the workers hopped in and wiped it quickly and roughly. She used such force that my radio buttons came off. In fact, she dropped some of the knobs on the ground as she walked away and I rescued them just in time before a car drove over them! Because of the design of the radio, the knobs didn't pop in without remaining loose. I notified the manager who sent another worker to fix it and he brought GLUE. Of course, I was not going to have a down and dirty glue job done to my car radio. Besides, I doubt he has been trained in precision gluing. So, I told the manager that I would be taking it to the Mercedes dealership for repair. She said okay with the same interest as if I told her I was using her bathroom. Well, the Mercedes people couldn't fix (and wouldn't because they didn't want to replace the radio if they made it worse - talk about profiles in courage!). When I called Embassy to tell them - no one there had a clue what I was talking about. There was no incident report... no notes... nothing. So, I am now considering what to do. Any advice Yelpers? I debated between 1 or 2 stars. This used to be my go to place for a car wash but they continue to get worse. The outside of the car always looks ok- so that's why the 2 stars instead of 1. The interior is where they seriously slack. They don't really vacuum it out or clean anything. Your car will look the same on the inside after their "wash and vacuum." In fact the last couple times I drove from their car wash to the Shell down the street and paid another $4 to vacuum the car out myself. I took my (fairly clean) car here to get it detailed. I get it back and there are white streaks all over the interior surfaces of the car. They also managed to use more than a third of a tank of gas "running the car to dry it out". Right... And, what is really unacceptable, there are two large scratches above the drivers side handle and numerous scuffs on both sides of the car that were not present when I dropped it off. I was told that those were "unavoidable side effects of the waxing process". They charged me $140 and I'm disputing the charge. Save your money and your car and go someplace else. read more

I was outraged when I got my car "cleaned" l here. They did a fine job on the outside, but the inside was disgusting when I picked it up. I couldn't believe how filthy it was! It looked dirtier than when I dropped it off. Honestly I would love to know if they even opened up the door to attempt to clean the inside at all. Visited today to get a quick wash and try it out since I've heard good things. They do a very good job cleaning my car in a quick manner. I didn't have to tell them they missed a spot like have at other places. The prices are okay, but not spectacular. However, it's hard to find a cheap wash in this area that gets the job done quickly and correctly. All of the staff were very friendly and I appreciated how I was treated considering I've been to other places that treated me like garbage. The waiting room was nothing special and the facility was not particularly clean, but my expectations aren't that high for a car wash to begin with. One point of note was that I purchased my wash 6 months ago and the line was too long so I saved the ticket. When I came back with the old ticket I was still able to use it. I'm sure they could have denied based on some policy, but instead they were really nice and happy to have me redeem it. That's the sign of a solid business in my opinion. I'll definitely return when my car needs another quick clean during the winter. Otherwise I'll do it at home like I normally when the weather permits. *This business is gun carry friendly. read more

Embassy is the best car wash I've found in Fairfax. They do a nice job and the prices are on par with most of the other car washes I've been to in the DC area. They are usually fairly busy on weekends, but I've never had to wait long. As Nat mentioned in her review, the real key to getting a good deal here is their coupons. Sure, I could be frugal and wash my car myself in my parking lot, but you can't beat the service that Embassy Autowash provides. Their service is fast and definitely worth the money. They clean the inside and outside of my car in less than half the time it takes me to clean just the outside of mine (I'm soo lazy about vacuuming inside). You also get coupons upon every visit and your car comes out sparkling and new. I've also had a friend get their car detailed and EA did an awesome job. You would never know that he had tree sap all over his car. Shiny and new. The only thing about this place is I will avoid visiting on the weekends or after work as lines tend to get long, but you do get through pretty quickly. read more

I've been here twice, once with each car. When I brought my car and I got the $27 wash. They vacuumed out my car but all of my stuff in my front seat so that it didn't get thrown away unless I choose to do so before or after they started my wash, and clean my windows and dusted and cleaned the dash. If I had wanted I could've paid for additional leather treatment and cleaning on the inside but I chose not to do that. Those times that I've gone there was very minimal wait and the staff was always very courteous. They got everything done in a very timely manner, and whenever I had the 30 minute detail for my husband's vehicle they did a very very good job. My only complaint was whenever they washed my car around the quarter panels and the front grill they didn't get it very clean, so I used one of their towels and went back over it myself. And the wheels on my car didn't have all of the dirt and grime removed. But considering the time and the cost it wasn't bad at all. read more

I paid for a Deluxe car wash which was absolutely not worth it. I had to remind them to add tire shine to my tires. They did not dry my carpets, there was still dust on my dashboard and Cup holders. They also missed some spots on my car that could've been scrubbed more. Overall, not worth the money I paid for it. Would not recommend it to anyone. read more

Embassy is awesome! If your car is dirty, you can quickly and for cheap get it washed and cleaned. It washes the outside and cleans up the inside in 10 minutes for cheap. I take my car here every month or two for a quick wash. Its *awesome* after winter! Just get there early because the line will be like a half-mile long by 11am. I seriously don't know why some people on here give it negative reviews. People just sound really entitled and cheap on these reviews. Its 15 freaking dollars, don't expect a complete detailing and hand wax job. Professional detailing can cost hundreds of dollars and take all day. And please tip them, don't be such a cheapskate. Last time I take any vehicle to Embassy Autowash. Quality of work has gone way downhill! Windshield wasn't cleaned, just smeared around, trash and crumbs in cup holders and on seats, floor mats are soaked, rims untouched. Ridiculous.
