My son's Jeep developed a major leak around the sun roof. The carpets were two inches under water, and the upholstery was soaked. By the time we discovered the problem mold and mildew had developed with the accompanying smell. We had a deadline to meet of three days. Despite several other vehicles ahead of us for similar service, the owner, Michael, did a rush service, and we made our deadline. The car looks and smells brand new. The owner of this place seemed cranky and rude when I went to his shop in person to ask about his detailing services. I could not get him to give me clear answers to basic questions. He was terse and abrasive which made me uncomfortable about giving him my car for detailing. Initially, I thought that maybe he was having a bad day. Then I read the many reviews here with similar or worse complaints. So I took my car to F1 auto detail literally three doors down from this place. It is a little bit more expensive, but they are pros, polite, happy to answer questions and did a great job. read more

I just called and spoke to a very rude man. He told me that I would have to pay $240 to steam clean my 2008 Toyota Corolla. I looked at a review online of a Lexus owner who only got charged $150. I called him back to ask why. He said they only wanted the interior and I said I wanted the same. He said curtly, "Well, you didn't tell me that!" and I said, "You didn't ask me -- and I've called a company who will only charge me $110" -- He then said, "Well you should go with them then!" and he hung up on me. These guys did an amazing job. I made the awful decision to transport, a compost container in my Tesla sedan. The container spilled over leaving a horrible smell that I could not get out with several different carpet cleaning treatments. I dropped the car off and by the end of the day it looked as good as new and no smell. Price was also very reasonable for the quality of the job. read more

Mike and his beautiful lovable laboratory make a beautiful team! They both are very responsive and polite. I had a bad sunroof water leaking damage and car interior has not been cleaned for decade. For a reasonable fee, they turned my old car interior brand new!! The floor was dried, cleaned and covered by new floor material, and interior was cleaned thoroughly. Super honest and thorough job. After randomly called couple stores for car wash service, So here I am at Pro-Clean (first time too), I literally just left the store. I am absolutely satisfied with the service. The owner (I think he is) is super nice and gave me the proper suggestions of how to take a little extra good care of my car (yep, I'm one of those who's just whatever about what happened to my car). My car was covered with Tree sap (since June) and several dent on the roof from Acorn, I thought tree sap will never come off but this place make my car looks like I just brought out from dealership! After some (expletive) decided to drag his bumper across the side of my brand new 3 week old SUV (while pulling into or out of a parking spot)...I was left with a 2 ft scratch and dent. I stopped by Tysons dent repair and he recommended I see Mike since it would have been very expensive for this particular dent work (long story). After eyeballing the scratch, Mike was kind enough to roll my Atlas Into his shop and for a quick buff out of the scratch as it was more into the clearcoat than the paint. 5 minutes later he rolled it out looking 90% better with the option to do wet sand on the leftover trouble area. I still haven't decided on that but I am extremely appreciative that Mike took some time to make me have a better day after an inconsiderate (expletive) decided to hit-and-run. I will certainly be back to see Mike for all of my detailing work. Thanks, man! Much appreciated. P.S. *****updated review: shop was demanded to pay full reimbursement by credit card company. Do not trust this establishment. Also, how do they explain the dirty towel and dirt on dashboard and shifter***** STAY AWAY. Quoted $200-240 for a 2010 RAV4 (which is already a high estimate). Get a call that says it'll be $270. Admittedly my car was in pretty awful shape, so I understood there'd be extra labor required to get it clean. I drop it off and go to pick it up after work and the seats are sopping wet -- I assume this is normal... until the next morning when I get in my car and every window is covered in a sheet of ice. NOT NORMAL. I drive to work and there's literally WATER dripping from the ceiling it's so wet. I call pro clean back and say this should've been dried better the first time-- they say OK bring it back in. I get my car back and it's dry... or so I think. Two days later I find two dirty rags from the cleaners -- annoying, but OK. Four days later I go in the back and it's SOPPING wet. I call pro-clean and they tell me they didn't dry the back because I had "300 pounds of stuff" that shouldn't have been in there in the first place. I tell them, they should've DRIED MY CAR IN THE FIRST PLACE. (Not to mention, I was able to " carry the "300 lbs of stuff" up four flights of stairs into my house in ONE trip.) THEYVE LITERALLT RUINED MY FLOOR MATS by using the heating machine without removing stuff from the rear or car (see photos). Besides that- it just wasn't a good job. Grime left on dash etc. AND Should've listened to all of the awful reviews of this place. Wanted to give them a chance. Never again. read more

Nothing like a rude ass owner. Called to say I was late dropping my car off for just an interior detail that didn't need to be ready till 6 p. Initially I was asked to fill out a form and then the owner walks out and proceeds to berate me in front of other clients in his nasty ass lobby saying I was late and I should have been there 2 hours ago. Let the owner know to give me my keys and I would take my business elsewhere. Not sure who this guy thought he was but that is no way to handle a potential customer. Someone else got my money today and probably will continue to :) I hope the owner gets his panties out of a bunch and realizes money is money lol *update* Owner is childish and just attempted to lie about why he could not detail my car see above for my original review. No one insisted on getting a ride and then was told no. I love how a white man will spin a story to make himself look better. It's not happening today, tomorrow or any day. I am sorry the owner feels inferior about his life in general not my problem. The owner obviously doesn't understand with my profession I can't always stay on schedule which is why I showed up in my scrubs lol but what would you expect with someone that cleans cars for a living. In preparation for the winter season, there has been a lot of milling and paving in the Tyson's area. One would think this is great given the high number of potholes on the streets, right?!?! Well, not so much when the tar used to mill and pave is left on your car!! I bought my car in May and I've already had to have my alignment done because of the potholes and yesterday, I had to have tar removed from bumper. Probably against my better judgment, I bought a white car. I love it. I do! It's a good looking car and SWEET when clean. I have it detailed each week and last week I noticed black dots ALL over my bumper AFTER having it cleaned. Oh no!!! So I tried using a little elbow grease of my own and some came off but it was a lot of work. My white car appeared to have polka dots!! So I went to the Audi of Tysons body shop. I wanted to see if I had to have my bumper replaced or what it would take to get this stuff off. A rep there sent me to Pro Clean! He said they send all their cars there for detailing and highly recommended them. He also mentioned that another customer had come in with the same issue except his car was covered in tar! At least it was only confined to the bumper area of my car. I stopped by and made an appointment for the very next day. I was told to drop my car off between 8-9am as it would take all day. So I dropped my car off at about 8:10. I was first in line. They gave me a ride to work and my coworker took me back to pick it up. It was ready by noon and I've gotta say - I'm highly impressed!!! Not one bit of tar left on my paint. They shined my wheels and even cleaned the inside. Unfortunately, I did not take any before pictures and I really wish I had. But take my word! They did an amazing job and my car looked show room worthy when it was done. It only cost $125 - which is relatively inexpensive given I was planning to use insurance to have my bumper replaced if needed. They did a great job. As for the comments about the owner. He seems stern and straightforward but after talking to him he was a kind and quite witty! So I didn't take my car in to gain a friend but for good service and I must say, it was exceptional! I can't say enough about the service provided by ProClean. Michael is truly amazing! My car was spotless....in fact it was so clean that the top (convertible) made noises afterward because they cleaned the grease off of the hinges (?). Michael had no Issue fixing the problem right away!! He came by work, picked up the car and brought it back in no time. Took my car there for the first time today. Requested an interior service. I assumed that interior service included windows and rear view mirror, etc, but these weren't done. The guy was nice. The job they did do was fantastic, but I still need to take it to Embassy tomorrow for the interior windows and outside. Owning two cars is a curse that most people wish they had - until they look at their credit card statements for the gas bill at the end of the month. Hey, (your girl's) periods aren't the only bad things that come around every 28 days! Anyway - so I started to look around for a place where I could take the car and get it detailed with a buffer inside and out. Well, I found the place! Situated near the McLean post office off of Route 7, Pro-Clean offers a variety of services for the car connoisseur. I ended up opting for the Total Detailing with Tef Guard (a Dupont sealant that goes over the wax). It included cleaning the engine, undercarriage, leather, dash, shampoo the carpets, clean the mats, hand wash, compound wax (to take out those door dings from the uber inconsiderate DC metro ding-bats) with a buffer, hand waxing, and then Tef Guard. The price? $250 ($175 without the Tef Guard). Well worth it? Sure. For a guy who has busted his ass on more than one occasion to get his car looking good, I'd say that my day is worth $250. Besides, when you only have to get the Tef Guard once every few years and then your car looks almost brand new, this is the way to go. What hurts is not just doing one, but I have to do two cars.... *sigh* read more

I don't get the Yelp love for this place. I arrived with high hopes and left very disappointed - and, as I discovered later that afternoon, the need to replace my windshield wipers, which was likely due to rough handling. They require an appointment, and even a week out, didn't offer much flexibility. I had a difficult time parking, but eventually found a spot around the corner. I went it and it reminded me of the back of an auto shop that hadn't been cleaned since it opened, which, judging by the decor, was 20mn after Reagan was shot. No one was around, so I ran the bell. Several times. Eventually, the owner came out and gruffly took my keys. His dog was much nicer. I got the car back 30mn and 30$ later. The Koons dealer up the street had just machine washed it as part of an oil change (much love) and done a basic vacuuming. The job done by Pro-Clean made exactly zero difference - except for the windshield wipers thing. They did unearth an empty beef jerky bag my husband had hid somewhere. They kindly left it in the center console. Uh, thanks? There was still a fair amount of dust and lint on the dashboard. The leather looked untouched. I was quite annoyed - mostly at myself for spending the money. On the way home, it started to rain. (Of course!) I switched my wipers on and they began jumping all over. When I got home, I inspected them. They had significant nicks. I hadn't previously had any problems with them and strongly suspect Pro-Clean did not take time and care with them. I'm now out a good 80$ - 30$ from a wash/vac and 50$ in replacing my wipers. Yay. Yates in Alexandria is so much better. I won't be back to Pro-Clean, 'hand wash' or no. read more

I've had my car detailed twice by pro-clean and each time it came out awesome. The team has great attention to detail and affordable prices to keep your car looking great. Only reason they're not rated a 5/5 is I alway experience attitude like they are doing me a favor for my business although if you can tolerate minor rudeness you'll be fine. Also word of advice- clean our your car completely as they throw everything in a bag including my $200 ray-bans with loose change and other items that scratch your valuables. read more

I used ProClean recently and had the BEST experience. I have toddler twins and a SUV and it was horribly dirty and stained with spilled juices and all kinds of junk. I have had my car for 6 years and had not had it detailed in years. Even when I had in the past it was for a quick $20 clean. Well I called on my old favorite - Pro Clean which had since moved to a new location but it was the last FULL detail I had ever had and I hoped it would be as good as it was many years ago. Well I was NOT dissapointed. When I arrived to pick up my car - I did not recognize it! The interior which HAD been a light grey and I figured was stained forever was COMPLETELY clean and looked sparkling. They had even returned my floormats to their orginal color. So after the snow-pacolyspe of 09, having my car buried in over 2 feet of snow, I was in dire need of a car wash. So after my early release was announced at work, I decided to drop by and get my first car wash at Pro-Clean. I heard about this place from my mechanic (who is right next door) and decided to give it a shot. For 30 bucks I got a really great car wash! My rims were gleaming (and my car always accumulates a lot of brake dust), the interior was dusted/polished as well as vacuumed. It may seem a bit pricey but well worth it. Those drive-thru car washes never get my car clean the first time around anyway. I know I'll definitely try out their detailing services in the near future! We found and trapped two live mice in our car. We assumed based on the smell that one may have died somewhere that we couldn't get to. So we decided to spend a ton of money to have the car detailed because Pro-Clean said they could take care of the problem, no problem. The dude told my wife he would clean the vents and try to find the dead mouse. Now, after he's been paid and the job is supposedly finished, we still smell a dead mouse. Here's the kicker that really upsets us....the manager/owner guy who doesn't like to be called dude now says he's not a mechanic and doesn't clean the vents. We are now selling the car! read more

Awesome work done by this shop! I brought my 2008 Mercedes 350E here. It had all kinds of debris and grime in it from the previous owner. The beige leather was nasty. The trunk was nasty. The engine bay was nasty. The wheels were nasty. A few hours later I picked up what appeared to be a new, totally gleaming Mercedes. I could not be happier with the job done or the price I paid for it. Rather than spending $20 at a fancy car wash only to have the car look the same a week later.
