I'm not so sure about this place. I ate at the Blatt and was not exactly impressed. Seemed pricey for a burger in a mall, and the cashier must have been new...I don't think she was ready to be on her own. Had to repeat my number 5 or 6 times and she still got it wrong. Almost thirty minutes later they came looking for me with a cold burger and soggy fries. The server seemed irritated that she had to bring me my food. Well, you took my number, verified it several times and still had the wrong number so I had no idea it was even ready. They didn't even offer to redo my order so it was fresh. Boooo. I'm updating my review because since last fall, I have visited Flagship Commons a few times and their food (particularly the ramen) has improved and remained consistent. Corporate customer service is exceptional, they are quick to respond to customer concerns and they are very professional. The ramen is good, but I order extra meat since it usually comes with only one piece of meat. A bowl of ramen runs about $11-12, but this is typical for this kind of ramen. My only complaint about my latest visit was that the Stubborn soda machines were out. I notified a worker right after I placed my order. It still wasn't fixed when I finished my food. I couldn't find anyone that knew how to fix the soda machine. That was disappointing because I was craving the agave cream soda. Overall, this concept is so unique and wonderful. You can get many different types of great food and enjoy your dining experience in a fun, comfortable atmosphere. read more

Not often do we want to eat in a mall food court but Flagship Commons is not your average food court. My daughter and I like to eat at Juan Taco when we need an affordable meal. I get the bean taco. She gets the quesadilla. When we feel crazy we also get the guacamole. The only thing I think could be better is the salsa options. They are not great, so we just skip them. Check this place out. Dined here on this relatively busy Sunday afternoon. The young lady taking my order was distracted and unfriendly; after asking what I would like to order, she wonders off and goes to grab someone else's pending food order to give it to them. She comes back and asked me if that was it, after standing awkwardly for a few seconds unsure she had acknowledged she was taking my order. Bad start. After waiting 13 minutes for my one fish taco and side of guac, I take a seat and dig in. The taco is cold, and bland. I taste none of the chipotle mayo listed as an ingredient on the menu item. The guacamole was the worst offender. Completely tasteless, it has the taste and consistency of store-bought avocado spread out of the container. There is no discernible onions, tomatoes, or fresh cilantro in the mix. It was pretty gross. Alas, my insistence of trying new meals made this-than-mediocre experience tolerable. This place doesn't offer any vegan cheese, which is fine because cheese on a pizza is not the be-all-end-all and they have lots of good veggie toppings. Good enough for me! Really enjoyed Amsterdam Falafel & Kabob for lunch! For a quick lunch at a mall while shopping you just don't expect this type of flavor experience. It is kinda pricey ($26 for 2 for what we got) but we would pay again and will be back! Actually just discovered they have a restaurant so can't wait to go there to see their full menu too! Hubby and I both got the plate which comes with a couscous base. I got the lamb and beef and he got chicken. I got the garlic sauce and hubby got spicy green (he described it as a spicy chimichurri). We did add a pita each which I would recommend as there's a lot of sauce on the plate so that was nice. We also got an order of Curry Fries to share - totally delicious, but the plates were so filling we definitely didn't need them! read more

An upgraded food court inside the Westroads Mall that delivers quite selections of food. I have tried Weirddough Pizza, Juan Taco, Yoshiya Ramen, Yum Roll Sushi, Amsterdam Falafel but there are more names that I can't remember and I would assume they'd be as good as the restaurants i mentioned above. Fountains drinks are fresh and they have custom made sodas. Napkins and water cups are so easy to get and they're clean. Food are most of the time well prepared. Staff are really attentive and friendly. Bathroom is really accommodating and clean. The only option this place lacks is chinese cuisine. I think it'd be nice to have a solid chinese spot there so then it'd complete the line up. read more

I'm a huge fan of Flagship Commons and Juan's doesn't disappoint. Today was not my first visit and won't be my last either. All three of us chose Juan's today (a first for us at FC) and our order was taken quickly and efficiently. It took 5-7 minutes for our order, which is not bad. I ordered the carne asada quesadilla for the first time and really enjoyed it. The steak is well seasoned, tender, and shredded. The quesadilla had a good mix of meat to cheese and was crispy but not greasy. I also got a side of beans and rice for the first time. My rice had a bit too much cilantro for my taste, but my five year olds meals also had rice and it did not have any cilantro so they must add it to individual orders. I would ask for light next time. The beans had a "great gravy" (my husband's review) and the pick on top was fresh and had a good amount of spice. My husband had the carnitas quesadilla and liked it, but said he really liked the carne asada. He also got an order of chips and queso. The chips were fresh and the queso was hot - both in temperature and spice. It's worth the $4. Our five year old ordered the deal of the day. The kids meals is a cheese quesadilla with beans and rice for $3. He hobbled the quesadilla and tried the beans and rice, but was more interested in his dad's queso. We will definitely be back to enjoy Juan's again! read more

This is a difficult review as there are several choices. I've had the rice bowls at the sushi place, which i really like. The kids have had the pizza and tacos, with no complaints, and the wife has had nothing but nice things to say about the falafel joint. The dining area is usually well kept and clean, and the drink and silverware stations are also well maintained. If you're near Westroads, and cant settle on a dining option, this is a great stop to make everybody happy! read more

I am very pleased with this new food court. The Westroads Mall has NEEDED this upgrade for a long time, and it was done right. The old food court was on the first floor, and was setup like a gauntlet for shoppers and restaurant patrons to walk thru upon entering the mall. You would walk down this skinny walkway with hundreds of tables on either side. Each table seemed to usually filled with obnoxious teenagers just hanging out and leering at the passers-by. There was just an uncomfortable vibe walking into the place. This never kept me from shopping, because I am something of an obnoxious teenager myself, but it did keep me from eating at the food court because I like to eat without people yelling and food being thrown around me (the last time I was there). I can certainly see how the old setup would kept away the older shoppers with the $$$. I happened upon this new food court by chance one day, and it is fabulous. There is a taco place, a suhi place, pizza, a vegan place, and a separate, full bar right out in the open. The prices are reasonable, the condiments are plentiful and accessible, and the décor is upscale. They also set it up so it has more of a cozy feel by placing barriers here and there to chop up the seating areas. Every restaurant has Fiji water- an option I love, because Omaha water sucks. The unconventional positioning of this food court on the upper level, out of the way, seems to give it more of a destination atmosphere rather than something you have to wade thru to get to the stores. I like it. Bravo, Westroads, for making this change in an attempt to stay relevant and more free of the drama that went on down at the old food court. read more

So far, I am extremely impressed. I was really excited for the ramen restaurant, Yoshi-Ya, but was very tempted by the other surrounding restaurants and inevitably caved in to try some other places. Since each individual restaurant does not have a Yelp page (yet), this is my overall opinion! I went to the grand opening yesterday around 3PM and it seemed that the crowd had simmered down. Even when a few places had long lines, each one I stood in, the food still came out in a very timely manner. Each restaurant I visited had a text-alert system that sends you a message when your food is ready, allowing you to grab a table and wait instead of flooding the front of each restaurant. Pretty nifty way of decongesting the number of people in a small area. I was also fascinating by the mixture of rustic and modern decor - especially the string lights and the vintage-esque tables! Very hip place to dine and was definitely worth the wait. As for the food, I wish I could have gotten something from each restaurant, but my stomach simply won't let me. First stop, Yoshi-ya: Tonkostu Deluxe was pretty good! Being the first official ramen restaurant in Omaha, I'm rather impressed. The dish could have had more meat and was a little pricy, but I guess that's artisan food for ya. I did enjoy the broth and the noodles tasted homemade! Next time, I'll be getting the ramen burger, something I've heard of and can now finally try! Second stop, Weirdough: the butcher pizza is incredible. Probably the best pizza I've had in Omaha honestly, it had mozzarella, pepperoni, and prosciutto. So much smokiness and flavor - I highly recommend. For 3 bucks, you get a pretty hefty slide of pizza, I would guess 3x9? Last, Juan Taco: ordered a carne asada, taco was pretty underwhelming and over priced. One taco was 4.5, plus extra .25 for cheese, guacamole, or sour cream. For 5+ bucks for a mediocre taco? Meh. Meat was a bit dry and there was no condiments to go with the taco, might give it another try in the future. I do like the built in "food truck" for the expo, going off the food truck-style tacos. Overall, pleasantly happy. I was excited to see a new Amsterdam location, and looking forward to trying Yum Roll's rice bowls! I'm not sure about Clever Greens since I'm not a salad person, but all the healthy people seemed to enjoy what they ordered from there. Blatt and Aromas are also at Flagship Commons. There is also "draft soda" that you can get, as well as a community soda fountain -- boyfriend said the root beer is amazing. Basically, I have more of a reason to go to the mall. read more

After one visit to Flagship Commons I am obsessed! The concept is awesome for a multitude of reasons. The first reason is because we now have many of Omaha's best selections located under one roof including Blatt, Amsterdam and Blue! The next best reason is because the mall now has healthy choices when you need to grab a quick bite and trust me they are not bland. More about that in a little bit. Next the very popular Ramen trend is available and its popularity is evident based on the ever present line. The final reason, although I'm missing many, is that there is now a bar in the mall! How awesome is it that you can now send your significant other to the bar while you shop? A win-win for sure! Now on the my experience! Last night I had the opportunity to have a girls night with a couple friends at Flagship Commons. We all chose Clever Greens because of their vast choices and healthy options. I went with the Quinwow salad and it was delicious. Not only was it prepared in front of me using fresh ingredients but it was HUGE. I definitely felt that I got all that I paid for! It had spinach and kale in addition to quinoa, squash, avocado, sweet corn and a couple other ingredients. There were two dressing recommendations for this salad. A green goddess dressing and a chipotle balsamic. My only regret is going with the chipotle dressing. Not that it wasn't absolutely delicious because it was but because I have a pretty low spicy tolerance and it was pretty spicy for what I can handle. I also ordered a fountain drink because in addition to the normal soda options they also offer some unique special crafted kinds. I absolutely love cream soda and I hate to admit but I drank 3 glasses of their agave cream soda. It was amazing! Overall this is an awesome concept and I'm so excited to have it in Omaha. I tried the ramen place here, I believe it's called Yashi-Ya or something like that. It certainly wasn't the best ramen I've had in Omaha. Both the pork and the chicken in both the ramens we got were a bit dry. The noodles don't seem super fresh, and the broth could be a bit more flavorful. Besides that, the choices of things to add to your ramen is nice. I got the bacon chili oil which was delicious. I also really enjoyed the egg as it was cooked to perfection. It was a bit pricy for a bowl of ramen. However, if I happen to be in the area and craving some ramen, I'd definitely stop by, although I will not go out of my way to come here. We've tried the taco place, salad place and the Yum Roll. We felt the salad place was over priced for what you get and it wasn't all that great. We felt we could have made what we got at home for a portion of the price and it would've been just as good. We definitely weren't fans of the taco place. We ended up throwing it away after a couple bites! Yum Roll is amazing. We tend to get the Crunch LA and Tidal Wave Rolls. I waited for the hype to die down a bit, and headed to Flagship Commons last Saturday for lunch after some shopping at Westroads. I had been dying to try the ramen, which I thought was pretty darn good. Go with the deluxe bowl, if it's your first time- that way you can experience a bit of everything. The pork belly had a smooth sweet taste to it that I didn't expect, but appreciated. I also tried a Philly Bomb from the sushi bar, which was terrific as well! I don't understand the reviews about the pricing here. What do you expect? The restaurants are a class act just like the stand alones that FRG owns. This is meant to be an upscale food court experience. If you want cheap, head to the pretzel place that's still right around the corner. Might I also add that Westroads has really cleaned itself up. New fixtures, elevator exterior, and a few other new eye popping décor changes have really spruced things up around there! I might stop defaulting to VP all the time, and head out there more often! read more

I've visited Flagship Commons twice since its opening and have really enjoyed it both times. On my first visit I ordered the Tonkotsu Deluxe ramen from Yoshi-Ya. I appreciated the signs while you waited in line that estimated the wait time. (And it ended up taking less time than anticipated - bonus!) I was really impressed with both the taste and portion size of my ramen bowl, although adding a way to make it spicier would definitely be welcome. On my second visit, we ordered a falafel sandwich, curry fries, and soup from Amsterdam. The same great flavors as you can expect from their Dundee location -- excellent as always. On both visits, the line to order here, and the wait to get your food here, has appeared to be the longest of any of the restaurants, so something to be aware of if you're in a rush. I'm sure things will level out and those kinks will get worked out soon. I'm a big fan of the Stubborn sodas, the line of craft sodas by Pepsi that's premiering at Flagship Commons. The Lemon Berry Acai is a favorite so far! Yes, at its core, it's just like any other food court. But its aesthetic appeal and local options elevate it to the next level. I'm looking forward to trying more of the new concepts, like Weirdough Pizza and Clever Greens, and checking out their lunch pickup service, since I work nearby. read more

Here are the pros and cons. pros: 1) pizza place is yummy(we tried the pistachio and queen za). not your traditional pizza but crust/sauce are great. 2) there is full bar 3) there are various size table and chairs for various groups and hanging out 4) love the soda machine. 5) ramen place was fast and tasty but pork broth is "heavy". ok. now here are the cons unfortunately... cons: 1) music is way to loud. Seems like flagship was going for chill vibe with décor but sounds more like a club. This is not Vegas. 2) sushi place is horrible. may get better sushi at local gas station. got order wrong( sushi is not the same as a roll people), every one was waiting for there food order( this was a sunday night). Flagship Commons is in the process of its Soft Opening or "Training Day" for all of the staff. After many delays in getting this off the ground, its Grand Opening will be on Tuesday, Dec 29th. This is not a "Food Court" but actually the areas first "Food Hall', so comparing this to the former Westroad's Food Court is unfair. This is taking the Fast Casual concept to a different level. It also is really unfair to judge the place today, since all were getting slammed, and many of the staff were on edge, this Training Day, but I hope to came back to change this to a five star rating in a couple weeks. read more

Lots of room to improve. I've been to great ramen houses - namely Manta Ramen in Las Vegas - and Yoshi Ya has a long way to go before they reach that level of perfection. To start, the wait for my food was over 20 minutes. The rest of my family had gone to other spots for food, gotten it, eaten and were waiting on me by the time my food was ready. Noodles were doughy, pork was almost all fat and my gyoza were luke warm at best because they were ready long before my bowl of noodles was. I was there the second day of their opening and I have to say I was very disappointed with the service and the food that I had received. I have had Amsterdam falafel and kabob in the Dundee area and I got to say it was delicious!!! I ordered half falafel and kabob sandwich. The falafel was well seasoned and naturally moist. The kabob was not dry and it was super tender. But sadly I had my hopes up and thought that it would be the same because this locations at westroads mall was associating themselves with the one in Dundee. No!!!! They are not the same, the location in the mall is a franchise! At Amsterdam in the westroads mall, I ordered the same sandwich that I ordered from the Amsterdam Falafel and Kabob, but my falafel was absolutely under seasoned and had too much garlic in it! For the kabob it was not tender at all it was tough like leather! Before even eating the food the service was awful expect the service I got from the person working at the register. While the cooks were looking at my order I saw one guy shake his head at my ticket and he was like why does she was half falafel and kabob that is weird. And I believe the manager looked at it as well and said its what she wants so just make it. Then the guy preparing my order said very loudly, she wants two of them! Then rolled his eyes at the order and said this is stupid. Are you serious right now! Right in front of the person who order it! Like really? Who does that? If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say it at all. This was just my personal experience and I hope it gets better in the future. read more

My experience at Flagship Commons was extremely positive! First of all, there was plenty of space for seating and moving around. Secondly, staff were constantly cleaning, keeping the space spotless and welcoming! Thirdly, the options for dining were so scrumptious, numerous, and local that it was hard to chose! My parents went with WeirdDough because it was the most economical. They enjoyed their slices of pizza. I went to YumRoll because I love Blue Sushi! However, I though that the create your own Yum-Yum bowl looked like a good deal, so I got that instead of sushi! It was incredible! Korean beef, Korean BBQ, sautéed Brussel sprouts, spicy Korean slaw, and soy-sautéed garlic, all on top of white rice, all made this an immensely pleasing dish! And it wasn't too expensive for the quantity and quality of food I received! Fabulous! On the way out, we stopped by Aromas and were greeted by a friendly barista who was willing to make me a mocha au lait...and it was wonderful. Oh this place is so cool, there's so many amazing places to eat, but definitely be sure you eat at Blatt Beer & Table, get the chicken & waffles, soooo yummy! I would eat here again in a heartbeat! My husband also tried weirdough pizza, and gave me a bite, was tasty pizza, he tried the kebab/falafel place, & wasn't really into it, but he's never had a falafel before so he wasn't sure what to expect in the first place, I don't think they're his thing to begin with, nothing against the falafel place. He tried the taco spot as well, and said the tacos were decent, but our number one choice was/is blatt beer & table. There are several restaurants at the Flagship Commons in the Westroads so this review will be about Juan Taco mostly. I had the pulled pork burrito bowl and she had the chicken burrito bowl. Go with the pulled pork...it just has way more flavor, otherwise they're the same. Add sour cream. It's rice, beans, white cheese, lettuce, salsa and the meat you choose. Simple but pretty good and the portion:price ratio is very fair. The Commons itself is pretty nice for a mall food court with alot of seating, tvs in some but not all sections, a fireplace and a variety of other restaurant choices like pizza, burgers, greek, ramon, sushi, coffee and a couple bars. Some are a little more expensive than you'd expect to pay at mall food court but this is no common mall food court. read more

Great selection of food, all the places looked good. Got the ramen from Yoshi-Ya ramen, and it wasn't very good. Funky flavors in the ramen, and the bacon chili oil took over the whole thing. We went to Yoshi-Ya and got the TonkOtsu ramen and while it was good, it wasn't $10.50 worth of good. And that was before tax, or buying drinks. If I want home made ramen noodles, it would be far less expensive to make my own. Looking around the place, prices were similar at every eatery. And two bars on the property!
