Love the fact you can buy reserved seat tickets online - lessens the surprises than just walking in and risk them potentially being sold out. Great popcorn and self serve "butter" area if it's something you are interested in. I was not. There were a few people that were partaking. Decent soda mix. The room we were in had plenty of room in the aisles. both the center aisle and the seated aisle. Even when reclined, you can get by someone to get to your seat. I was surprised to see how small lobby was. It gets crowded by concession stand pretty quickly. Despite the crowds, the staff at concessions was really nice. I took away a star, because the restrooms were horrible. They were dark and it appeared there was stuff smeared on the stall walls that looked like it wasn't 'new" - I gagged the whole time. I think this Flagship Cinema recently (maybe in the past year or so?) updated all their seats. They seem much cleaner, there's no tears or cracking in the thick material, all the buttons to recline actually work. I noticed it a while back; this place was definitely loved hard over the past decade plus, so it's nice to see these upgrades! This is still my go-to theater: 1) I like the ease of choosing my seat and ordering my ticket online ahead of time. We've never had an issue or glitch with this. We just show up, use the little machine to scan our barcode, and it's as easy as that. 2) I like the annual Premium Popcorn Pail deal (even if the bucket is 20% smaller than it used to be). We always trade ours in at the end of the year/beginning of the new year for some kind of genuinely decent promotional deal. On average, throughout the year of using it it seems it costs us anywhere between $11 and $17 to get it filled and get one large soda (that we could get unlimited refills on if we could be bothered to leave the theater). 3) The "luxury power recliners" themselves are, for me at least, bigger and more comfortable than some of the couches I've owned. I crawl into my seat, hit the button, up go my feet, back goes my upper half, and I'm immersed in a cloud of comfort (without annoying anyone the way this same action does on a plane). And they're SPACIOUS: I can have my jacket in my seat next to me, my purse, my food... and there's still room. 4) I like that they show old movies!!! TAKE MY MONEY, I want to see Jaws here every summer. 5) FREE movie on your birthday (all you need is your ID to prove it's your big day)! Admittedly, during really busy times, it could use some additional TLC: 1) The soda area can get quite wet and sticky. 2) The bathroom trash bins are often overflowing (and actually, I think that's on you, future customer. Can you please just kind of push your towel down into the bin instead of laying it on top of it?). 3) Why are the bathroom stalls SMALLER than airplane bathrooms? I'm a small person, and I still have to contort my body to close the door. Still, it's comfortable and (mostly) clean and the staff working here can be really charming and goofy and I love that because THAT'S what a movie theater staff should be. read more

This is our usual cinema for a reason! All of the theaters have huge, comfy reclining seats. We usually bring a blanket and wear sweatpants for an at home theater kind of experience! Very comfortable! If you buy a large plastic popcorn bucket for $17, you can get $6 refills for the rest of the year. Great thing about Falmouth is once you get your popcorn, you can add your own butter topping - as much or as little as you want. Drinks are self serve once you buy the cup and you get free refills. While the tickets, like most theaters nowadays, aren't cheap, flagship makes it hurt not so much. read more

If you're looking to see a movie without interacting with a single person, this may be the place for you. This was our experience last Thursday. It was the first day of the nationwide release of the new Wes Anderson film and we didn't want to fool around so we purchased our tickets (with seat assignments) online. The entire time we were there I only spotted one employee--the guy working concessions with a very long line. We didn't want to be late to the movie so we purchased candy at the discount store next door (I know), which I suspect was faster, scanned and printed our tickets at the machine in front (no waiting), and found our way to theater six. The oversized reclining seats were super comfortable, and from my perspective (seat D5) the screen placement was perfect. Despite this being the closest theater, I usually go to the Eveningstar or the Nickelodeon, and I can't really say why? Maybe (because of the location) I fear this one is owned by the big box discount store next door? I can see how this kind of an experience (no customer service) could be off putting to some but overall, I enjoyed the experience. read more

I have only been here twice, both during non-peak times. I like it okay. No idea what it's like when it's busy/full but it's really laid back in the afternoon. The seats are quite comfy and seats are assigned. But the layout of each theatre is a bit awkward. It makes sense to have the aisle in the middle, but because of that there is no 'perfect' view center and center. The screen is pretty high up, regardless of where you sit. If you're the type of person that mounts their TV above the fireplace then this will be fine for you. If you're normal and like your screen at eye-level then this will probably be a bit annoying for you. Staff working there has been friendly with me. It's pretty close to me and I think is better than going downtown. read more

Miserable experience. Took a couple tries to reserve a seat online. Finally got confirmation. Saved the QR code. Got to the cinema and the booking had expired. Couldn't find me in their system. The Assistant Manager stepped in and after showing him my card was charged he offered and "Apology pass" as it was already 15 minutes into the movie. Flagship is a mess and why people would rather just stream it. Assistant Manager saved this from being 1 star. He was disappointed and defeated. Couldn't pay me enough to be him. He deserves a huge raise for having to put up with the disaster of an online booking system. read more

Went to see Ghostbusters tonight to check out the new Flagship movie theater in Falmouth. While the movie was "meh", the big win of the evening were the incredible super comfortable fully reclining lounge seats. There is so much space in this theater that when chairs are in full recline mode, there is still plenty of room for people to get in and out of their row. You can buy your tickets online and select your seat in advance, or take a chance and buy tickets at the door. There is also a $5 stock price for a drink and you can fill up as many times as you like! The theater JUST opened and right now are running blockbuster and teen type movies, hopefully something interesting might get thrown in there at some point. read more

I loved this theater! The chairs are amazing. The customer service was fantastic. I loved that the theaters were a little smaller and with the big chairs means less people thus less interruptions and talking through the movie. The snack bar had good options and the prices were about what I'd expect from a cinema. The bathrooms were clean and we went in during a busy time and a worker was in there cleaning while it was busy. Bathroom cleanliness is important to me lol We have gone a couple times and always leave very happy with it experience. read more

I love going to the movies. It's one of my guilty pleasures. I truly don't care what movie I am seeing, I just love going. It could be the smell of the popcorn. The innate coolness of the theater. Maybe the Twizzlers I ALWAYS finish before the movie begins. Or... maybe it's all of it. Flagship was the first theater I had ever been to where the seats reclined, almost flat. I love how much room is still between the end of the seat and the next row! You can easily walk through to your seat even if everyone is reclined. They are super comfy seats and aside from the front row there isn't a bad seat in the house. Granted the kids think the front is the best, oh to be young and not care about my neck again. The seats are great. I just wish you could raise the armrests. Would be nice to get closer to that special someone. The snacks are reasonably priced, as far as movie theaters go, and I love that I can pour my own soda. The different popcorn flavorings are always a hit with the kids. And the candy selection is very nice. The food area is always clean and well kept. The bathrooms are also excellent. One of the best parts was the innovation of picking your seats ahead of time. As others say it's awesome to buy my tickets days ahead of time and not worry about getting there ahead of time to get good seats. I already have them! This place is a lot of fun. Just a few bad experiences to deduct a star. 1) their Wi-Fi goes down a lot, which means no credit cards. Sucks taking kids to the movies but not being able to buy them snacks. 2) went to see a movie in December of 2018, and their heat wasn't working. Weren't offering refunds either. So we sat, shivering in our seats with our coats on and with some blankets we found in the car. And most importantly 3) Cinemagic has quickly caught up. Their seats are just as cozy, AND you can put the armrests up. All in all it's a great theater, if you are close. We go to Clark's Pond now, as it's right around the corner. We still hit this spot from time to time, as it's the OG. So I highly recommend this place. Unless... there's a similar theater closer. read more

We went to see Oppenheimer. Getting our tickets was easy, and the theatre was both clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed the picture.

Reclining seats, tons of room, picking out your seat ahead of time, a self serving butter machine, the ability to sneak beer into the movie theater. These are all the things that make Flagship my go to theater in Greater Portland. Yeah they are not playing a ton of art house/ avant garde movies but no one makes those movies anymore, since it is easier to pump out another Star War's movies and some CEO in Hollywood thought the "Emoji Movie" should be made. (Dear Hollywood, you are the worst) Mostly run by teenagers this place does not seem to have a real clue on what they need to do, but the movie starts at the right time 99% of the time. Large parking lot, so thumbs up to that? And the prices are insane for most things so it is smarter to just sneak things in. Some secret history about the space; Walmart next door wanted to take over this space to make it a Super Walmart but the Town of Falmouth, told them to screw off. So hats off to the brave people from the town there to fight the corporate overlords. Would much rather have a fun different movie theater than another soul sucking Walmart! read more

Went again recently. I like this place even more during the pandemic. The large seats and spaciousness makes it very comfortable. Staff was polite. Concessions were quick. Popcorn was great. What a pleasant change to your typical movie going experience!! Where to begin? Well - first, you can reserve your seat online! That's right! No more getting to the cinema 40 minutes before the movie so I can get that perfect seat. Simply go online and select the seat of your dreams. One down side - the aisle runs through the center of the cinema. So, for people like me who want to sit in the dead center of the theater, no such luck. Next - the concessions. Rumor has it, there are free unlimited refills on popcorn and soda. Considering it is fill your on soda, I believe it. Now, I personally enjoy the Kid's Pack. It's the perfect serving size of popcorn, a small candy, and a small soda. I'd also like to note - that small soda - bigger here than at other theaters I've been to. Oh, and, you can butter your own popcorn!!! What!!!?? This is amazing. Then, you go into the cinema to find that pre-saved seat and lo and behold, they are recliners! Big, comfy, recliners! So comfy - falling asleep during a late (or boring) movie could happen easily. FREEZING COLD!!!! Spoke to someone before the movie started. Theatre was not full and everyone was commenting on how cold it was. Smart ones had blankets. Patrons were wearing jackets inside when it was 75 outside. Spoke to someone on the way out and they were unapologetic. Said they are set at 68. Felt like 58. Now remember this is comparing to other theaters in the area and I have to say this place is the bees knees. They have renovated this place from what it once was in Falmouth to what it is now and you would have never even known or remembered. The seats are ginormous, the theater is clean, the sound is great and I love the fact that you can go online and pre-order your seats to make sure you get ones that fit your fancy. Went to see Rogue One and enjoyed every minute of it especially seeing the pricepoint compared to other premium theaters. Adults were only 10.50 and the kids were 7.50 and the popcorn we ordered we were able to drizzle the theater butter over the corn ourselves so that is kinda cool! Make sure that you try out these little theater in Falmouth, ME you wont regret it. Or maybe not so the price can stay where it is ;) read more

I've never had a problem with leg room in a movie theater but I do often get fidgety and uncomfortable because I can't tuck my legs underneath me. I don't have to worry any longer! This theater has become my new favorite place to go. The seats are huge and they recline! I can put my feet up and not worry about someone needing to get by. There is tons of room. I really like that you can pick your seats online and not have to worry about some 7 foot tall person blocking your view. We are all reclining! It's spacious which could present a problem if you want to see a very popular movie. The downside of all that space is that there aren't a ton of seats. But, oh those seats! Plenty of cup holders and arm rests for everyone. Maybe don't come here if you're tired because you may just snooze during the movie and waste $10. read more

Went to see the latest "Jurassic Park" and was not impressed with the experience. This particular theater was a narrow, very long room with a small screen at the end, raised quite high up off the ground. Odd layout. In addition, it seemed like the surround speakers were set at a much higher volume than the behind-the-screen dialog speakers. It was often quite hard to make out the dialog, which was frustrating. This was my first time at the theater. I was kind of expecting an immersive, big-theater experience, like you'd get in Westbrook or Saco (vs. the Nickelodeon, for example), but did not get that. I don't know if all their theaters are like the one I was in. If so, it feels like maybe they're cramming too many theaters into the space. The cushy seats don't make up for it. I went on a Tuesday with my wife. Paid their $6.75 special & had the theater pretty much all to ourselves. Putting aside the weird vibe the people of that whole town give I'll try my best to be unbiased lol. The young man that was nice enough to print out our tickets was really trying hard to be nice but you could tell he didn't really wanna be there talking to me. I can't take points off for that since I'm there to see a movie & not the employees lol. The surround sound system was awesome, nice & loud but not to the point to make your ears bleed. The place is very well kept & clean. The chairs are super comfortable. However, the one big star I have to take away from this place is that the screen is a tad bit too high. I get it that it's design to keep from anyone from blocking your view but still, a bit too high. I'd still recommend this place & I would be back if a movie hasn't been hijacked by the woke agenda Hollyweird is pushing. read more

In LOVE with this new movie theater!!! The seats, chosen by you before you enter the theater, recline with the push of a button. There is 6 feet in between each row so tall people blocking your view is no longer an issue! Each seat provides a great view, and you can walk by the other people in the row easily with their seat fully reclined! You butter your own popcorn and refill your drink at any time!! The only bad thing to say about this amazing theater is that I am now officially spoiled. I will never go see a movie anywhere else! read more

OMG Did the theater pay for these reviews? I went there hoping to see Dune in a fabulous screen. OK, other people said this cinema had recliners -- true, BUT the floor has a very slight slope & the screen is positioned high so you don't have heads interfering with your view. I mean , WTF? Who said this was a great theater. To compensate for the very minimal slope, the screen is set high. Of course, the screen being high means your head has to be back. Ouch!!! For nearly 2 1/2 hours??? Worse, I got there early & asked to check out seat and was told I could, but ticket taker was in a power trip and said I had to sit in hallway until the current show finished & she cleared the seat. Ok, so I waited. But this meant I did not have time to drive to another theater. I don't understand how folks rated this as a good cinema. Really, it's pretty sub-par read more

Favorite movie theater, it doesn't have that weird old movie theater smell, if you know what I mean... it's always clean and the workers are always friendly. Normally if my girlfriend and I were going we would buy our tickets ahead of time and then there's a self service type of kiosk you can either scan the barcode on your ticket, or type your order number in (super easy)! Popcorn and drinks are reasonably priced. We actually bought a popcorn bucket and it's good for the whole duration of 2018 and it cost $4 bucks to fill it up. I think it worth it even if you are just going 3 times a year. The chairs recline so you don't have to worry about moving if somebody needs to get by. Or if your worried about somebody tall sitting in front of you. There's ample room. I LOOOOVVVE the self service butter machine, and the free refills on soda. My girlfriend doesn't like as much butter on the popcorn as I do so we always ask for a separate bag, and they have no problem doing that. Overall I always recommend this movie theater!!! read more

If I could give a 3.5, I would. Can't beat the reclining chairs here. It's the only way I'll watch a movie now. If you are not familiar with this style theater, you will have to reserve your seats ahead of time (either online or when you arrive). This alleviates the worry of large groups getting to sit together. I wish there wasn't a fee to reserve online, considering you can check yourself in when you get there and I don't know what's costing them anything additional for me to essentially do the work of their employee. It's great having a cinema back in Falmouth! The 21st century version of a cinema, with recliners and automated everything is seamless at this theater, with no qualms from me. Also, the ticket prices have not noticeably gone up in relation to other theaters which is nice. My only qualm with this theater, is the sound quality. I cant say it affects all theaters within the cinema, but several have had less than stellar sound, and that, to ke, is a huge part of the cinema experience. So great, well designed, clean, modern cinema, but with work to be done on sound quality. read more

The popcorn is never burnt, the pretzels, although pricey are always good and the price for a ticket is great. Unfortunately, my family and I had a very negative experience at the Flagship theater in Falmouth this afternoon. We planned to see a 4:40 movie this afternoon as a family of 4. We arrived at theater at 4:35 and tried to purchase tickets at the ticket counter but there wasn't an employee working there. After a few minutes of waiting, we realized no one was coming to the ticket counter to help us purchase tickets and we found the kiosk . We purchased our tickets using the kiosk and then purchased snacks at the concession stand. There wasn't anyone working by the theaters to check our tickets or guide us on where to go. We proceeded to the poster that had our movie on it and walked into the theater. It was about 4:45 when we walked in and the movie was playing. We didn't think too much of it at first and sat down. At around 5:20 we could tell the movie was coming to an end and realized we might be in the wrong theater. We then realized there were 2 theaters playing the same movie right next to each other and we were in the one that started at 3:40. It was a mistake on our end so after the movie ended, we spoke with an employee behind the concession stand and explained what had happened. The same movie was playing again at 6:40 so we asked if there was any chance we could watch just the beginning part of the movie being we only watched the end half of the movie. The employee said there was nothing she could do and we would need to buy new tickets. After spending $40 on tickets and $30 on snacks, we couldn't believe that was the only solution. The employee then proceeded to say that there are signs up for the movies in the theater so she wasn't going to do anything to help. we told her we saw the poster and went into that theater but didn't realize there were multiple theaters playing the same movie. She said we could go to the theater we should have been in and watch the second half again (which is the part we already watched) but that's all she could do. The customer service is less than impressive and they hardly have anyone working to look at tickets, sell tickets or help guide to the theaters. We would have been willing to wait until the 6:40 movie started and if they had empty seats, it would have been really nice for them to allow us to watch the first half of the movie which we missed. This movie theater is amazing. Gorgeous design plus the best seating ever. All seats are big ottoman recliners. Some auditoriums are smaller then others but I always sit in the 3rd or 4th row and it's perfect. My boyfriend is larger and he finds the seats very spacious. Ticket prices are cheaper then other theaters which is a huge bonus. The concession stand has money saving combos and pails plus free refills on all drinks. Butter is self serve which is cool. Tickets can be bought online which is great. You can see how busy a movie is and what seats are left (it it assigned seating). It's a great feature for busy weekends/holidays. read more

We just went here for the first time (twice) and enjoyed our visit. Our first visit was interrupted about 2/3 of the way though by a fire alarm, and the whole theater was evacuated. Our second visit we went back to watch the end of the film. Overall we enjoyed it, but there are a few things that if fixed could improve the experience. THE GOOD... -The SEATS. Omg, game changer. They are so, so comfortable, more comfortable than your lazyboy at home, and with cup holders on each side. The automatic recline buttons are pretty sweet too, if a bit sensitive. There is enough space to comfortably walk in front of other seats even when they are fully reclined, so no one has to get up to let people in the row. Brilliant. -The theater rooms are small and so are the screens, but it's not a big deal because there are only about 50 seats in each theater so no one is too far away. -I liked online ticketing, and assigned seating, but it has some issues so it's in both categories. -Easy parking -We had no trouble getting a refund for our tickets after the fire alarm issue. NEEDS IMPROVEMENT... -Seats are assigned. In theory this is great. In practice, not everyone follows the rules, so there were several disruptions from people who came late and found other people in their assigned seats. They need to work out a way to enforce this. Maybe some very clear signage that reminds people to sit in their assigned seat? -Ticketing needs work. We ordered our tickets online, but you still have to wait in line at a ticket booth to print your tickets. And it doesn't read the bar code or QR code, so you have type in a long bar code number in order to print your tickets. This needs to be streamlined, or there's little benefit to ordering online other than early seat selection. -Concessions area is chaotic. There are 3-4 registers. There is supposed to be a single line in the middle that feeds the registers first come first served, but there is no signage either on the floor or on a standing sign to make that clear, so it looks like you should be able to walk up to any register. The concessions area is also quite small and it shares space with the automatic ticket booths, so on a busy Saturday night it's very congested. -There was a loud buzzing noise that I heard intermittently throughout the film. My guess is that it was the A/C. We saw Ghostbusters which was pretty loud itself, but if it were a quieter movie it may have been more annoying. In summary, I'm SO glad someone finally put this theater to use again! We've lived in Falmouth for 5 years and it's been vacant ever since. With a few tweaks it could be perfect. Recently, I had given this theater a 4-star review, until I realized they are deliberately stealing money from miners. My two friends and I purchased three tickets to see "The First Purge" an R rated film. When we showed our tickets to get into the movie, the three of us were ID'd. One of my friends and myself are 17, our other friend at the time will be turn 17 in less than two weeks. The kid working wouldn't let us into the movie. We went up to the counter to refund our tickets, but they do not refund tickets. They said we could exchange our tickets, which were 13$ a piece, for a later show, not to mention we had already bought drinks at the concession stand... 5$ drinks! If you want to throw your money around to a corporation that is deliberately stealing form miners, go for it, but know that it makes you just as much a piece of shit. read more
