Intended to go to a 10:10 am showing of Fantastic Four. Got there 10 minutes early and the lobby was mobbed. I feel bad for the ONE person behind the counter. Ran out to my car to grab my credit card to use the self serve kiosk, but by the time I got back they were no longer selling tickets for the 10:10 show, I had to wait for the 10:40 show. C'mon Flagship! Hire enough people to cover the shifts. Things would have moved smoothly if there was a separate cashier selling tickets. (instead of filling food orders - Who eats a giant tub of popcorn and a giant soda at 10 in the morning?) (apparently everybody but me, lol) read more

Comfortable, assigned seating. Often the theatres are chilly (nice in the summer; not so nice in the winter). Always expect over-salted stale popcorn. Soda dispensers are often dirty. read more

This place deserves a 5 star rating. I am surprised to see on 2.5. When I read the comments though, it seems that most people are complaining about other people (they take too long to pick seats / others take all the good seats) rather than the theater itself. That's ridiculous. Thursday night was dinner and a movie with my grandson. We went to see Sonic. Bought our tickets online (super convenient) and picked our seats (the best in the theater - so sorry for other people....) then and there. Yup, concessions are high. That's typical. Yup, the popcorn is salty. Again, typical. The chairs are comfortable, the temperature in the theater was perfect (it can sometimes be cold), and our seats were great. We both enjoyed the presentation, very much. Plenty of parking. Not crowded. Staff was friendly. MY only complain? Same as many others - other people. People spilled popcorn everywhere - they left their trash sitting on the floor. It's disgusting!! Not the theater; the way people act like they're the only ones in the world and everyone else should cater/pick up after them. I hope to teach my grandchildren better than that. read more

Flagship has finally gone through a much need renovation and all of their theaters now have reclining seats that you can reserve online. Bonus - the chairs are heated! The only downside is the screen size options available but that's not a deal breaker for me. If you love buttery popcorn, you'll really appreciate that they added a self-serve butter pump. read more

Honestly, this deserves a 5-star. Discount for college students. Not crowded at all. Convenient for movie hops. After their recent renovation, their seats are magnificent, feels like an airplane first-class + seat! read more

Whenever I'm in Maine, this and the Lewiston Flagship location are just about the only movie theaters around. Luckily, they're both pretty good! Auburn is the closer of the two to my family's lake house, and I think it's the better of the two. The only thing Lewiston has going for it is that it features 3D films, while Auburn does not. Luckily, I usually hate 3D movies, as the colors aren't as bright and most of it is just gimmicky. There's hardly ever anyone at the Auburn location, so you probably won't have any difficulty finding a good seat. The only time I ever saw a great number of people there was the day The Dark Knight came out, and even then it wasn't bad. I've never had any issues with cleanliness, projection, sound, or quality here. Despite the fact that they don't really have any competition, this cinema does a good job of keeping their customers happy. read more

We went to see Captain Marvel last night. Very impressed with the new heated recliner chairs. We are so glad we don't have to drive all the way to Augusta or Portland now to watch in the recliner theaters. My only suggestions is to mark the row letters clearer. When we arrived their were people in our seats. They thought row C was row E. It's hard to figure out in the dimmed lights. Maybe hanging row signs on the walls would help. I liked that apple juice was an option in the soda fountain for the kids. I don't let me kids drink soda so that was a nice find. Overall we found our new go to theater. 5 stars. Maybe think about adding alcohol later on. Smitty's still has you beat on that. read more

The theatre has upgraded they chairs and are very comfortable. They have also installed self service PCs so you can avoid the line and buy your tickets, reserve your seats, very easy. The popcorn is horrible and it's top dollar expensive. I paid more for popcorn than my tickets. Good theatres are always popping fresh and they will offer to add butter to the popcorn as they fill your bag. They try to deliver high quality behind the high price, these guys don't. read more

This theater is a staple in my life. It brings so many memories up. My first date, my first Daddy daughter night, my first kiss, etc. It where I hung out as a kid. It's always been here! With that said... It's now horrible. They need to do a MAJOR renovation! Half of the seats are broken. The seats used to be packed and now it's a rarity to have 20 people at once. The colors are out dated. Carpets filthy. The wall "carpet" it peeling and there's a weird smell. Some tiles are missing overhead in some of the theaters. It's so sad. To keep up with the times they need help! Most times I travel to thopsham for Smitty's Cinema. Please fix this!! read more

Went to see Lincoln the other day - great movie, even though the theater seemed to do everything it could to ruin my movie-going experience. For your consideration, I'll bullet-point my frustrations: 1) Popcorn everywhere. On the floor in the lobby, the bathroom, and no matter how many times I moved my feet, the theater floor was covered in popcorn. 2) The actual movie projector and screen are out of date. I'm pretty sure this is the same setup since I saw movies here ten years ago. If you can't offer the same quality picture and sound, don't charge the same as a theater that is up to date and provides a quality experice. 3) Cold. It's November and I was actually looking forward to the ride home and actual heat. I have never had to wear a jacket all through a movie before. I've gone to warmer drive-in movies. I do not recommend this theater. There isn't a better one nearby, but if you have the time, drive to the Westbrook Cinemagic instead. Or even Saco. read more

The theaters are newly renovated with reclining, heated seats. There is also assigned seats which is great because you can reserve your favorite seats in advance. Prices for movies are decent prices. Prices for snacks and popcorn are outrageously expensive like any other movie theater. Restrooms are clean but need a make over and a fresh coat of paint. read more

This theater needs a major renovation. The only reason I go here is because my sister lives nearby and the matinee ticket prices are cheaper than anywhere in Portland. Most of the seats are broken, and your knees will be smashed into the seat in front of you. I went to about 10 seats to test them before I found two next to each other that didn't feel like I was falling into the floor, or there was something poking me. My sister has even tore her jeans on one of the seats here before. Beware if you go here, it will be smelly, dirty, and uncomfortable. read more

Not the worst theater I've ever been to but it definitely could use improvement. The seats are small and the staggering is weak. Bathrooms were a disgusting mess. And when we arrived they only had one attendant working both tickets and concession. As for price I payed just as much on tickets and concession as I would have going to and imax theater. Update: The concession prices remain high (as is expected of pretty much every theatre). The seating has been upgraded, and the annoying "seat selection" is operative online and at the box office. This is where you must choose your exact seat before purchasing a ticket. Beware of standing behind people who cannot make up their mind, as the wait can be a bit extensive as you wait, and wait, and wait. The staff here, for the most part is kind. Back to the seating. If you love leather, you're going to love the seating. If you don't like leather, touch luck for you. Also, the seating is heated. A caveat for what seems to be a fire hazard, you can exit a row on one side only. So, if you're on the wall side of the seating area, and there is a fire, good luck!! Also, only one of the two entrance doors is an exit door...and neither is marked!! read more

Always came here for the movies but hey, it's the only game in town.I went in to get my free birthday movie today had been in for a while since the new renovations. Waited forever in the line but that's expected what a big hits out during Christmas. Get to the cashier, only to learn that it's now assigned seating! I mean wtf really?!? Okay I get it under the old way I would have walked in to find the good seats gone. But now you expect me to pay in advance for a crappy seat?! Nope sorry! So I hopped in my car and went off to Brunswick won't be back sign sitting in a movie here is idiotic. don't care that the movie was free and not getting him or my money in the future. I don't mind the prices to go see a much waited for movie. However. The fact to pay 5.25 for a bottle of water is nuts. The free water cups hold all of 3 Oz of water. Saw War for Planet of the Apes. Could not have been a worse movie experience. Cant emphasize it enough. The showing before got started way late because the ending of the movie was playing when we went into sit down, then they played the entire credits. Once it was finally our turn, we were sitting there for a good 10min staring at a blank screen. I had to go out and tell the attendants. So now we are 15-20 past our start time so what do they do? SKIPPED THE TRAILERS. Which in front of a movie like that would have been phenomenal. NEVER GO HERE! read more

I've been going here three-five times a month for the last six years. The theater itself is great, the movie deals and fundraisers are wonderful, but the customer support is poor. A recent website redesign shot them back to 2003 and you'll find various pages broken or without any sort of formatting. They recently added back links to movie websites, but removed the brief movie synopses that made picking out what to watch so convenient. Back when the movie listings page was completely broken, I emailed support and let them know of the broken site and how they'd removed basic functionality and as a result, my business. They responded and told me to get the app. An app that hasn't been updated since December 2011, that shows incorrect showtimes, that has no support and often doesn't contain the right movies. Apparently the app is better than their website, and has all the features their website once held. I suppose if you don't have a smartphone, you don't need the basic information provided by every other movie website. You can search the web for ten minutes per movie to find out which one you actually want to see, or you can go to the Regal Cinemas in Augusta for a more convenient and pleasant movie experience. (Personally, I chose Augusta). I would have given this one star, but the people working there have always been nice to me. It's just their customer support that's out of touch. read more
