Once again had a fantastic time visiting our local drive-in. So glad that Maine has a handful of drive-ins still open. It's such a unique experience that I believe everyone needs to visit at some point in their life. Growing up I visited numerous drive-ins with the family and loved it. Pride's Corner is cash only including ticket purchases at the entrance and their vastly stocked concessions stand. You can buy tickets online which I recommend to make the entrance process as quick as possible. You pay per car with a price of $20 up to 2 people and only $30 for a car up til 5 with any additional being 5 per. Try and find a deal this good for a movie theater! Which mind you here that includes typically two movies, so even better! For this particular re-review my wife and I visited to see Toy Story 5, great movie! The second movie was The Mandalorian and Grogu (we did end up leaving rather than sticking around). Round up your family and/or friends for a cheap movie night under the stars! read more

I go with my family and friends as often as I can, which is usually a couple of times a month. #LocalAdventureChallenge: I haven't been to the drive-in since I was a kid -- we used to go to the Bridgton one a lot, so it's something that always seemed so far from me. I don't know why I didn't realize sooner that Prides Corner in Westbrook is SO CLOSE (to Portland). Things are a bit different this year, but it actually works out pretty effortlessly. Buy your ticket online ($15 for a carload), show up early (it seems people start lining up on the shoulder of the road about an hour before showtime); when they start letting cars in there's a lane for prepaid on the left (roll your window down, show your QR code, and a masked person quickly scans it) and a lane for cash only on the right. Then find your perfect spot! Make sure you pull up evenly between the markers (the former speaker polls) and if you're a big car/a car with a hatchback that lifts really high, please be thoughtful and park farther back. I'm not sure I would come to the drive-in for a new release, but for a classic -- YES. We came this summer to see the original Jurassic Park and it was awesome. That particular movie has held up incredibly well (someone recently told me that the T-Rex animatronic occasionally malfunctioned when wet which freaked the cast/crew out even more!), and watching it on an enormous screen with the sound cranked on our car (and the cars near us since we came with friends) as we sat outside listening to the wind whip through the trees... almost felt like we were in the park with Malcolm, Sattler, and Grant themselves! Great drive through, very large screen (we were quite comfortable with being able to see well in the back), fun space, close to both Portland and Freeport and the owners are really nice and responsive to questions from Facebook. It was late in the evening for us so we didn't get to check out the concession stand, but definitely look forward to doing so next time later in the season when showings are earlier. Thanks for making our first drive-in experience so wonderful. This is our first moving outing since covid began and we look forward to coming back for more! Wonderful place to see a movie. Small downgrade from Bridgeton Drive-In (the other family owned drive-in in the area) due to somewhat older bathroom facility. Owner is super friendly and dedicated to the business. Popcorn is fresh (so is the butter) and the experience is really fantastic. They do have a powerful flood light that comes on between and after movies that points directly at the audience from the screen; its great to be able to see around your car but the blinding light in the face is kind of a mood killer. Owner preys and targets on underage girls, would attempt to convince them to go into the back room to "show them how a projector works..." There are TONS of others who has spoke up against the owner, multiple red flags and creep vibes from Jeff. There was a mom who spoke out that this isn't the first time it has happened nor he has done this before, her daughters were 12 and 15 at the time when Jeff attempted to lure them back into his "back projector room" but luckily their father was there at the time and saved his daughters in time before anything could've happen. Shut down this goddamn place and along with his other businesses, they do not deserve to earn money from families who believed this place was a safe area to bring families and friends together. read more

A wonderful place near Portland for a night out to watch one or two movies. I have been going here for years and am so glad to have this Drive In continue. You can sit outside next to your car or in your car tuning the radio in to listen and watch the movie. The first night of the season was excellent. Two great movies and food and drinks you can buy to enjoy. The French fires and pop corn are the best. read more

Like going back in time! Drive Inn brings back memories of when I was a kid and my parents took me to a double feature (and I was supposed to sleep through the second feature). Gone are the speakers that had a fan and heater for cool days. Now you use your car stereo for the movie. 2 features with up to 4 per car for $20 ($5 per person beyond the 4). Snack bar prices are not bad, but not of the 60's era. Of course, unlike a theater, you can bring your own snacks if you choose. read more

Classic, Family Friendly Fun. Close to Portland and has been a family favorite for my family for over 20 years!

I have literally been coming here for most of my life, I'll be the first to admit that I have trailed off in the past few years, however. Due to streaming and such. However like so many before me during the pandemic have found so much classic fun and nostalgia by coming back to the magic that is the drive-in. My first movie here was the original Batman Michael Keaton movie. I am sad to say that the old playground has been removed so no before movie fun for the kids. You do use your radio for the sound during the movie, So make your car radio works or you at least bring a radio to listen in with. You can sit outside in front of your car At Your Own Risk, However. They do ask that you do not bring in outside food, However, I've never seen them do car checks to prevent you from doing so. That being said it is Not a super expensive ordeal to go to the drive-in. So def bring a few dollars and let's all go to the lobby and buy are selves a treat. Support the drive-in so it will be here for many many generations to come. Plus who doesn't love seeing one two and sometimes three movies a night. There no exceptions however on rain. If you're there and it rains you are out of luck so be sure to check the weather before you plan a trip there. read more

Hi friends, Public Service Announcement: Pride's Corner has RE-OPENED! We caught the double feature this past Saturday. It was a great experience: easy to find, a bargain for two movies, clean and well-kept and maintains its vintage vibe. The restroom is basic, but clean. The snack bar is super reasonable with lots of options. My crinkle cut fries did not disappoint. We need to work on our drive-in game - some folks came with pillows and blankets and picnics. Next time we'll be ready. And I'll be wearing my pajamas. But, everyone, please support this local business so we all can continue to enjoy this time-honored summer tradition! read more

Of course ANY Drive-In deserves a great rating.. The price here was totally worth it. The snack bar was really cute inside. The bathrooms are totally gross.. BUT..what really turned me off..was when the movies were over and we were leaving to have the people working there reeking of booze is unfortunately a complete turn off.. Great old drive in with an updated digital projector, clear picture. Just took my daughter and granddaughter, three generations, to Toy Story Four, we all loved it.
