Went to see Wicked For Good recently. Liked the self serve ticket machine, the popcorn and the reclining chairs. What wasn't appreciated, was that the theater we were in was quite cold. We felt no heat at all, which, to be honest was expecting some heat since it was around 30 degrees out. We kept our winter jackets on the whole time. Movie theater and chairs were nice. Small but cozy. Seemed clean. Not a lot of staff. We ordered popcorn- it was very old, too salty and stale/chewy. I wanted to refund it. If you are going to charge so much for popcorn and movies, it should be fresh. read more

We are visitors and went to the movie. When we walked in there was no smell of popcorn and we were craving fresh popcorn. I asked if they had it and I was pointed to popcorn that had been popped that morning. It was 6:30 pm so we passed. Theaters should have fresh popcorn. read more

Comfy seats, very good popcorn and not making you sit through 15 commercials were some of my favorite things about this theater. We one have been once on a recent Monday in early October but wouldn't hesitate to go again. We saw "The Substance" with Demi Moore, it was weird but interesting, but it was only $9 which was reasonable. Tuesdays are $6 or $7 as I recall. read more

This was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had in a movie theater. Me and my family of 6 got kicked out before even going into the movie because we had a bag of M&Ms we tried to bring in, and were happy to throw it out if necessary after they had mentioned it. They were extremely confrontational for absolutely no reason, and would not allow us to speak to any manager above them. They also started saying my 16 and 17 year old brothers couldn't go in without parental supervision because it was rated R, but both of our parents were with us! I cannot understand why they would do something like this on Christmas, as this is a family tradition for us. They caused such a scene over a bag of M&Ms. It seemed to me like they had been waiting for an excuse to get into it with someone. If anyone is thinking about going to this absolute dump, do not give them your money. There are plenty of nicer movie theaters around with MUCH kinder employees I'm sure. Not worth the time, money, or wasted breath. I'm sure the employees were miserable because they are working on Christmas day, but they don't have to take that out on everyone else, then act like we are the problem. They called us liars and threatened to call the police if we didn't leave OVER A BAG OF M&MS!! They had problems with everyone in my family for some reason, including my angel of a mother. They refused to give us refunds for anything, and would only give us passes to come another day. We will NEVER come back here, so why tf would we want those. They sold me expired candy and when I went back to the counter no more than 10 minutes later to try to exchange it, they tried to claim I had not purchased it the first time. We had just spent $40 on concessions and 60+ on our tickets and they wanted to hassle me about proof that I had purchased a box of candy from them! No good at all! read more

Holy cozy movie theatre! So surprised to find such luxury in little Wells, ME. We have nothing like this in our much larger area. Hub and I were traveling, it was cold and rainy, and a movie seemed just right. There was a sneak preview of a new film we wanted to see, so we eagerly purchased tickets and reserved seats online. We arrived to find a quiet and dimly lit theatre lobby with computer monitors rather than a human behind a glass to purchase tickets. Since we had already purchased ours, we headed to the concession stand where a friendly employee printed our tickets and also served the popcorn. Not being familiar with the theatre and because we'd been on the road all day, we were completely surprised and giddy over the reclining seats. Such an awesome perk! This made a slightly uncomfortable movie more tolerable, and we are now forever spoiled. Hope this type of theatre is the trend and that one will be in our neighborhood soon. read more

You have to give Wells Flagship four stars for no other reason than there is absolutely no other choice within thirty miles. They do have online ticketing and the website works great. Please go with online ticketing. The line to buy tickets at the theater was out the door and our experience was that everyone visiting the theater that day had not been to a movie since Reagan and could not even manage the idea of assigned seats. By the way there are assigned seats. Definite plus in a busy Maine resort area. The seats are big fluffy reclines, but the screen is a little small and the recliners are not raised. Imagine watching a movie on your coach with another coach in front of you. The popcorn was burned. Beware. If it's a rainy day on the coast this is a workable option. read more

Super clean and comfortable movie theater. I don't usually go to the movies much any more, but I was on vacation and the night life in this somewhat sleepy New England town was a wee bit lacking. So I wound up here twice in the past few evenings. Staff was friendly and the recling seats made the experience that much more enjoyable. read more

Flagship Cinemas is the best movie chain around. This location has been completely renovated with comfy recliners and offers reserve seating. Plus they are cheaper than other movie theaters. The staff are friendly and it's such a great experience. I highly recommend it if you're in the Wells area. read more

Was on vacation and it raining so had dinner and decided to check out this cinema ... glad we did! It was $11 which is reasonable, you can buy a ticket online or at theater and you select your seats when doing so which I thought was pretty cool ( I don't go to the movies all that much). Nice sound and very comfortable reclining chairs. Will definitely revisit. read more

Saw Baby Driver here on Saturday. Loved the movie, not the theater. First, they jack up the prices in the summer, to hose the vacationers. What, it's not enough that your revenue probably doubles in the summer months with vastly increased attendance, you also need to employ price-gouging? C'mon, man! $10 for a matinee, give me a break. This is an old theater that has been renovated with new seats. So, for all of you who have become accustomed to stadium seating, fuhgeddaboudit! You're going to crane your neck up at the screen, and you're going to like it. Even more than most movie theaters, there are many very aggressive signs about the prohibition on outside food and drink. HA HA HA HA, good luck with that! The theater is clean, I will give them that, as are the bathrooms (though the lighting in the men's room was so murky that I worried about being mugged). Next time, I'm driving to Saco. read more

Pleasantly surprised by this place. The screens are small and high up, but you're able to recline the chair to make it a comfortable viewing experience. My only complaint is the popcorn was the stalest I've ever eaten. Nice place to catch a flick though, especially if your on vacation. read more

This theater is great, employees are polite and friendly. The theater is very clean and the recliners are very comfortable. The only bad thing is the popcorn is always burnt or just has the taste of being burnt. I have been there numerous times and it's always the same. We usually go here rather than drive all the way to Newington , NH to see a movie. Their price is reasonable. Some people complaint their price is high. I think it's your choice. read more

Love the new chairs, so comfortable & spacious. Plenty of room to get up & walk to bathroom without squishing anyone. Do not like that u have to pick your seat on computer screen when buying tickets. It literally stressed me out because I'm An introvert. Introverts need to see where they are going to sit in person. Go to movies to relax, not have panic attack, lol. Maybe I'll get used to it? WOW! I've been coming to this theater my whole life even when it was not Flagship Cinemas, but it is better than it has ever been now that they're here! They have newly renovated auditoriums with RECLINER SEATS and RESERVED SEATING! Way better than driving all they way down to Newington! I wouldn't say anything about a movie theater but I saw a bad review for the Flagship in Wells so I feel the need to post a review. This is a nice theater. As for the price I think it's average and when you consider you sit in a recliner watching a movie what more could you ask for!
