They never open in time is not dependable, when it says open at 1015 people shouldnt wait till 1025 because the owner decided to open late that day. Especially when theres alot of people outside in time of opening and he sees that he just ignores them and lets them wait 10 minutes more to open and the attitude he has is bad many times too. Edit 2/25/16 I am changing my rating to 4 stars because the owner is aware of the ratings and has been working hard to change the way he treats costumers and tries to be nicer and more attentive to the costumer so I hope this keeps up. This is the worst Flame Broiler in Corona. The female manager have a nasty attitude. They don't let u sit inside 30min before closing. They tell you that u have to take ur food to-go. Everyone hates on Ed... If you're polite and don't dick around, he's a very nice guy. I eat here 4-5 times per week for lunch, both Ed and his son Eddie are awesome and professional. I have eaten at nearly every flame broiler I've passed driving around SoCal and their food is by far the best. Could be that it's fresh because i'm always here at lunch and there's high turnover but i digress.... A bit like the soup Nazi, know what you want (menu isn't that big, people) and listen for your order number and I think you'll find the owner to be a nice guy. Ask 1500 questions about salad dressings and ask for extra white meat to be substituted for carrots and you'll likely find him to be a business owner that doesn't much care to deal with the ignorant general public. My co-worker and I went to this location for lunch today ordered our food to go and went back to the office to have lunch. We were getting ready to eat and my co-worker says "hey this piece of chicken looks like a cockroach!!" She pulls it out with a fork and sure enough its a cooked roach that was sauteed with the chicken!!! She put the cooked cockroach in a cup and we took our food back down to the owner/manager and showed him the roach and he said "that's chicken" and picked it up with his hands and started ripping it up and squishing it with his hands. I assume to get rid of the evidence!! He was shaking and acting weird... To bad for him we got a picture of it before we brought it back. He did refund our money and we left. I called the Health board and they're going to do an investigation. Needless to say we will NEVER be going back to ROACH BROILER again. read more

The owners are very nice and welcoming and you can tell that they appreciate your business. They have nice working TV's and a clean set up. The location is a bit hidden with not a lot of traffic. I came here the other night to grab a quick bit it was 7:30 and they close at 8. She wouldn't let me eat my food there because they were closing which was horrible I still had 30 mins. This place has the most dumbest hours they are only open on certain days and hours... make sure you go two hours before so you can eat your food Incase they tell you, Your not allowed to eat there because they are closing soon. The owner Eddie is as abrasive as steel wool and rude. I have visited this location 3 times, 2 of those times I have been unfortunate to encounter the owner himself. He always acted like I am bothering him when the only exchange I have had w/ him was placing a simple order. Heaven forbid if I asked for a water cup or plastic bag because he will then look at you with disdain. I remember when this place first opened, my mother-in-law and I would pick up dinner for the family after work. The owner ( old gentleman with the ponytail ) was very nice each time. I'm not really sure why this has changed over the years. He almost always acts irritated and he rolled his eyes at me today! W.T.H! I ordered a chicken plate and remembered that my husband wanted veggies as well. So I asked the owner to add veggies to the plate. I love this place. They have great teriyaki. I used to order the plates because it seemed like more food, but was more expensive. Then I figured that they pile food on the bowls & they're only $5.45. I prefer the "Works" bowl because it has it all, chicken, beef, veggies & rice. The only thing with this specific place is that its packed at lunch time. I have been going to Flame Broiler for YEARS and actually worked for a Flame Broiler! when I visit a place I expect the food to be about half the experience and the other half based on the customer service, and the service here is HORRIBLE! the older man working in front is the owner and he always works the front register and is VERY unhospitable and rude to everyone everytime i come in there. I wanted to review this Flame Broiler because of the great service we got last week - sure, the food is good & healthier than most 'fast' options - but good customer service is also worth mentioning! The young guy behind the counter must be part of the family that runs the place (we heard another customer say to him 'So you're giving your dad the night off?') and he was extremely polite, patient & pleasant. He carefully explained the menu options and did it with a big smile. He really seemed to genuinely care, and it was very refreshing! At first we were the only people in the place - it's tucked in the corner of a quiet strip mall, so maybe not the best location. I go to a Flame Broiler by my work in Costa Mesa and that one is always PACKED, not the case with this one... (I was sad to read the other reviews that said the owner was rude - if it is indeed this cashier's dad, he could use some lessons from his son!) read more

I tried the combo plate with brown rice to get a taste of almost everything and it was delicious, Prepared hot & fresh, it was a very satisfying meal. Loved both the magic sauce and the hot sauce. The beef, which needed no additional sauce, was much tastier than the chicken and I would definitely recommend the veges, but I will stick to the bowls next time. The sides were kind of pointless on the plate. Although I enjoyed the cabbage salad, the best part was the sesame dressing and the california orange was not very good at all. All in all, I will definitely plan to return for Flame Broiler again. read more
