Been coming here for months now, as someone with a busy work schedule this is the perfect place to come grab a couple of bowls for your day. I'm able to finish my workout and head over here and be out within a couple of minutes. The bowls are measured and weight for the perfect amount of MACROs, which is the first Flame Broiler I've seen do this which is awesome! All the employees are always so helpful and welcoming, as soon as you walk in, you are greeted and overall a great experience. I appreciate that even when I order through door-dash, you still get good portions on your bowls unlike other food places who seem not to care when preparing your door-dash order. It's also great to see a local business support our community by supporting a local high school boys soccer team. read more

The concept is good but the prices are outrageous. Dark meat chicken is so inexpensive at the market these days. Heck, all the major supermarkets (Ralphs, Albertsons, Smart and Final) have all deals on chicken all the time. These bowls are made with ingredients that are relatively cheap. You just have to meal plan for the week. Rice is cents on the dollar and the vegetables are a low cost item anyway. Wow! $9 + plus for a bowl. Ever wonder why there is a retirement crisis in America? Eating out to places like Flame Broiler will lead you to the Poor House. Guess what I am doing today? Did not appreciate this place. I've never been to a flame broiler and had a food line. The food was prepped and the greatest of this place to me was that food prepared fresh. They just scooped it out of a prepared container. I didn't appreciate it and the taste sacrificed in the process. The staff was okay but they told me 5 minutes when I called. When I walked in 10 minutes later, it wasn't ready and then he asked me what my order was. I had to go through the whole order again. The guy acted annoyed and then passed it off to another person bc he was too busy chatting up a girl. So I had to explain the order all over again. Lame. read more

My experience at this location went from flop to phenomenal. I never expected the owners to be the ones to handle my feedback after a disappointing visit. And rather than focus on the bad, I want to highlight the good. Rupa's customer service is unmatched! Not only did she offer a genuine apology, she provided me with the utmost generous solution. I could tell that she cares deeply about her guests and their experience at her location. I could honestly say that I was speechless when I walked into the restaurant the next day. Everything was very neat and clean. The food looked very fresh and appetizing. The staff greeted me and were friendly and kind; especially Jose! He was inviting and warm, and made it a point not to make me wait long at all. My only regret is not snapping a photo of the food, because when I tell you guys how PHE-NOM-MEH-NAL the food looked and tasted. It's very hot and humid here; during summer time - I don't know if the AC is broken or if they are trying to save money on electricity. The tables are very dirty , but it gets worse , the food doesn't taste fresh at all. The meat is very dry and has no flavor, I didn't see many people around here so I don't know if the meat was prepped a long time ago. Try a different place. I don't know why we stayed - we didn't eat most of the meal. Something is wrong with the meat. read more

If you like your food to taste like marijuana, then this is the place for you. I walked in a little after 2 with my two kids, and as soon as I stepped in the smell of weed hit me. The two guys behind the counter were arguing, using profanity, and straight up smoking right in front of me and my family. They didn't even acknowledge our existence when we walked in, they just stayed in the back doing absolutely nothing. When one of them finally did acknowledge me, he had a huge attitude and was just being so rude for no reason. What kind of management allows these things to slide?! They got me in with a coupon Excited to try it Then I experienced the flame I mean lame broiler A kind young staff had no training at all. Felt bad for them. The guy didn't know how to assemble the salad. It was ok. Then I pull out the coupon He couldn't process it correctly. Finally got that right. After some debate on the addition. Then sat down Way too much lettuce brown. I d toss it at home if it was like this Not so appetizing overall Not that great anyways in any regard And overall just nothing worth trying again But the coupon did work!! The fb flamed out. I can't imagine this place making it with this operation. I wish them success and hope they get their team And product together for a better experience. As others have commented, if you're lucky enough to have Rupa take care of you it's great, otherwise you'll be met by someone with an incredibly bad attitude. For example, I placed an order for pickup at 12:30 today and arrived at 12:40. I was told they didn't have a record of my order and they asked to see my receipt which I showed them on my phone. The person behind the counter told me to "chill out and wait" and proceeded to make orders for people in line. He then went on to pick up a printout he had in front of him that was there when I walked in and he completed my order. This location is extremely clean and has quick service. Lots of room and overall it's extremely clean and well maintained. Clear visibility of the cooking area and it seems to be extremely clean and they clean the girls after each item is made. They keep all food and serving utensils separate and they seem very organized. I hadn't gotten her name however around 2/2:30 the young lady working the line was extremely friendly and helpful with the orders. She offered us more options than we thought we could do along with recommendations on calling in prior so they could cook the white chicken mean prior for us. She also told us about their stamp card and offered it to us which we never knew existed. Extremely satisfied with our food and appreciate the excellent customer service and hospitality. Unfortunately today my last time at Flame Broiler SJC . I order a few times per month. Order is ready maybe half the time. Not always accurate but I don't say anything. Awlays awkward cuttintg ahead of people in line. Order wrong with attituttude and fake "have a nice day". No drink cup he said ita not on Order and to prove it, I did. No sauce. Avocado was a side order for someone and it was on the bowl. He wouldn't fix. I'm not coming back for more of that. read more

My service is inconsistent and is based on who helps me. I don't know any names, but when the manager/owner is working or helping me directly, I always have great service. Today's service was a disappointment. I was the only one in line at that time, and I felt like I was bothering him by making him work on the food line. There was no washing hands after touching his face mask, and seemed inconsistent by not weighing the first dish then adding the meat, but weighed the second dish I ordered. I have seen on other days, that this same employee seems to be better when the manager/owner is around. I only want to go back if the owner is working that day. I was waiting for my food and used the iced tea machine. Went to take a sip and it smelled and tasted strongly of sewage. I immediately spit it out and rinsed out my mouth. I let them know and also asked for a refund for my food as I did not feel comfortable eating there after experiencing that. They said they would change out the machine. I went back in a few minutes later to inquire about what they found in the machine as I'm still not sure what I ingested. They said they had let their boss know. I asked for someone to call me to follow up. As of now, I've not yet received a phone call. It's only been a few hours since the incident at this point. I would advise you to avoid this location as their standards of cleanliness are severely lacking and the staff had a very minimal reaction to the situation. We hesitate coming to this location. We usually have a white meat chicken order and tofu order and the people that work there always make a big deal that it will take longer to cook. They make us feel guilty for ordering a option they offer; it shouldn't be like that when we are paying for a service just like they get paid for their work. We've gone 30 minutes before closing because sometimes we get off work late and would like a decent meal, but hesitate going to this location because of the service. We are those people that make them work a little more than they usually do and they make it known that they don't like to do the extra work with their attitude. One of the workers told us this time to next time let him know ahead of time we were ordering white meat chicken so they can get started on it ahead of time. We had just walked through the door... so do they want a phone call next time as a heads up?
