While we were ordering, there was a customer behind us upset that they were sold out of the chicken salad sandwich, so I understand things may have been a little hectic. Unfortunately, our order was rushed through, and we felt pushed along to payment before we could really verify everything. We specifically ordered our sandwiches Mike's Way with jalapeños and pepperoncinis, but when we got home, we realized they were missing almost everything that makes the sandwiches flavorful. There was no oil and vinegar, no mayonnaise, no salt and pepper, no jalapeños, no pepperoncinis, and they weren't made Mike's Way at all. I understand mistakes happen, especially during busy times, but this wasn't one missing topping, it was essentially all of the requested additions. It completely changed the taste of the sandwiches and made for a disappointing meal. Had we not felt rushed through the ordering process, we may have caught the mistakes before leaving. Yesterday, 5/17/25 at around 12:30pm, my boyfriend and I placed a pick up order. When we got to the store, we still had to wait a few minutes for our food to be ready (not a problem). One of the workers, who were honestly not too friendly, calls out our order. I look in the bag to see if there are any napkins inside, and I see that there is only 1 sandwich when we ordered 2. I wonder if we made a mistake, so I check the receipt and it shows both of our sandwiches. My boyfriend nicely lets one of the girls know that we only received 1 of the sandwiches we ordered and she says, "Yeah we know. They're working on it right now." In an unfriendly tone. We could have easily left without checking our order (because I have never gotten my order messed up from any Jersey Mike's location before). If you KNOW that you messed up our order, please let us know. We were very nice about it while the workers were very unfriendly and unorganized and if it were somebody else, they could've had some angry customers to deal with. I have worked in a restaurant before, and if we knew we made a mistake with an order and we could still see the customer (in the store or even outside walking to or inside of their car), we would RUN after them and explain that we made a mistake and apologize for it. The workers at this location made no effort to even tell us when they knew they had made a mistake with our order. Managers- train the workers better for certain situations and keep an eye on the stores more often! Staff is nice, but poorly trained. Facility is clean, but disorganized. I placed an online order, and arrived at my appointed pick up time. I saw my ticket in line to be filled, but saw other orders being filled even with my order being placed earlier (times are on the tickets). The restaurant was busy, so I cut them slack, and waited (my mistake). After twenty minutes, I finally asked, and discovered it was ready, but NOBODY BOTHERED TO PUT THE TICKET ON THE BAGS. Upon nearing the store a fine gentlemen by the name of Lucus kindly held the door open for me and greeted me asking about my day as I entered. As I approached the counter I was welcomed again by two pristine looking fellows who went by Marcus and Michael. Marcus was the slicer and my goodness the way he sliced was a thing a beauty, the way he sliced the meat and cheese and placed it onto the sandwich was akin to watching your grandparents tuck your young ones into bed. Perfectly snug under the covers and placed perfectly in the middle of the bed. it was wonderful to see him work. Then he passed my sandwich down the line to Michael who treated my sandwich the same way as the other. The way he sprinkled the lettuce reminded me of watching the snow fall in my hometown of Vermont. While the juice reminded me of the cold rain falling down and absorbing into the grass of my front lawn all with a smell akin to it. This experience has left with me a feeling that no other sandwich shop ever has and most likely never will. This establishment has earned a lifelong patron and I hope to see the growth and prosper of those gentlemen who made my day so grand and filled with heartwarming appreciation. It's never been amazing but now, on a few occasions, we've either witnessed the staff being rude to patrons, one elderly man who was confused about the technology using the app and ourselves. Not all, but some seem to be lacking the basics in customer service. A good half-day lesson in the basics could really help this group.
