Their creamy garlic combination pizza is sooooooo good!! Not overly garlicky but the umani and fragrance of garlic is subtly there to make this pizza special. The sausage tasted fresh(not porky), tomato pieced added juiciness and the green onion just added a nice sweet finishing touch. We ordered take out so I can rate on service or ambiance, but my hubs and I plan to dine in one of these days to elevate the experience. Yumm!! read more

Delicious pizza place! Flames has some yummy staple pizzas that I tried like combination and pepperoni and an awesome spicy Indian flavored pizza called spicy paneer pizza. Just the right amount of spice and really delicious with ranch! The potato wedges were also really good, hot and crispy. I ordered 3 extra large pizzas and I asked to pick up at 12 noon, I got there a few mins early just in case they were sitting in the warmers but the owner had them ready at exactly 12 noon, I was really impressed! Great customer service and very friendly. Also I saw on the menu a lunch special for 14.99 and some great family meal options that were very reasonable! I'll be back! Happy to find a place in town with a great deal for large orders and a good lunch time special for when I just need a little pizza pic me up during my work week. read more

We ordered the pastrami pizza and the Hawaiian pizza. Both pretty good, very filling, lots of cheese and great flavor! We also ordered the chicken and wedges, they were pretty average and our chicken was way over cooked but I can see it being pretty good if it wasn't. The restaurant was clean and they had a few large T.Vs with sports on. Not the funnest atmosphere but still not bad! Service was ok not great but not bad. Value wise this place is an A+. I need to try a few of the regular pizzas and the chicken again to be able to give a 5 star but they are close! read more

So this was my first time ordering from here after seeing it pop up in my yelp page. Ordered the family meal which is a lg one topping, chicken, wedges and a 2 lt of soda. Pizza. First off the pizza was . Nicely toasted, cheesy and flavorful. The chicken and wedges could have been a bit crispier but still had good flavor. I will be coming back to try a few different items in the menu. I did like that they offer free delivery for anyone up to 5 miles away. I prefer giving my tip money all to the delivery person so I appreciated that they offer that. read more

I decided to try out this new pizza place in the village shopping center, great pizza! When I went in, it was a Monday morning so no one else there, I was taken care of fast. I ordered a medium pep with pineapple along with a side order of cheese bread with jalapeños and onion. The pizza was so delicious! Made perfectly, the crust was so crispy and the cheese was nice and gooey. I liked it so much I ordered another pizza for a different occasion, yum! The cheese bread was a little small but still a yummy side. I would recommend coming here if you're nearby to pick up a pizza for the family, I've tried many pizzas here in town and I love this one! :) read more

We have alot of pizza places here in Bakersfield and sometimes you just order from a location that you just get used to hoping it's better this time..so we decided to try this place..and I was so glad we did..they did it exactly how we wanted an XL with half Supreme and other half meat lovers the potato wedges were so good..the large size was actually a large size..the pizza was so good the dough was great and toppings were great..so from now on this will be our choice for pizza. read more

Flame's Pizza could be the best tasting pizza in Bakersfield. Try their combination pizza (half combo/half pepperoni as pictured) with extra sauce. The more toppings the better I have noticed. I've had pizza all over the country such as in New York and Chicago and I can say this place stands out among the best tasting i have had. As a former Pizza Hut employee I see excellent technical execution. Good dough and crust. Their pizza comes out hot, has even and abundant topping distribution and the ingredients appear to be good quality. I also appreciate that you can optionally buy 2 liters with styrofoam cups instead of fountain drinks when you eat inside. That's unique in my experience; it makes you feel like you are eating at home while inside the restaurant. The inside dining atmosphere is also pleasant. They have multiple TVs to keep kids entertained. Their restrooms are immaculate. It was a pleasure to see that. They also were attentive to my family during the meal which added to the overall experience. Give them a try if you are in Bakersfield. read more

This is my new pizza spot. The pizza is some of the best in town and the prices are extremely fair. I have told multiple people about the pizza and they all have went and agree. I hope they expand their menu because I've tried most all and keep going back to the pastrami. Would love to see new creations. read more

Very good, I would eat here again. I want to try eating in, as I did door dash ordering via yelp, and it was picked up an hour or so before it delivered, and it's less than 3 miles from my house. Needless to say, when it arrived, it wasn't warm. Great news, pizza reheats well! I loved everything. The crust, sauce, and cheese were all great. I could use a bit more sauce, but it was good. The wedges and chicken were also delicious. My entire family loved it. read more

A great place for lunch! I had the daily lunch special which comes with an 8" pizza and either 5 wings or 5 wedges and a drink. I opted for the wedges and boy was that a great choice. The coating was full of flavor and spice. Plus they have all you can ranch! I also got thin crust pep and sausage. great taste, nice firm crust. nice cheese pull. All came out molten hot (this is a good thing). I highly recommend you try this place. read more

I just called in an order for pickup and it was ready in about 30 minutes. I ordered 2 pizzas, wedges, wings and cheese bread. Everything was delicious! My only complaint is that I wish they offered breadsticks. The cheese bread was okay, but I much prefer classic garlic/Parmesan breadsticks with my pizza. The crust is a thinner crust similar to Rusty's. Everything was cooked wonderfully and tasted delicious. The wedges were top notch! Super crunchy batter and nice chunky potato cuts. The prices are on par for the quality. The staff was very friendly. I will definitely order from here again. The location is in the shopping center at Stockdale and Gosford/Coffee. Next door to Bagels and Blenders. The inside has plenty of seating if you're planning on dining in. read more

I was looking for pizza nearby. Luckily for me, there was one on the way to home. I went on the site and ordered a large pepperoni pizza. I called the store for curb side pickup and in about a min the employee came out with the pizza and few packets of Parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper. The smell from the pizza was amazing. The dough was delicious and the topping was fresh. Glad I found this place. read more

First time trying them out. Ordering delivery from this place was a nightmare. I had to make 5 phone calls over the course of an hour and a half and my pizza is still not here. The woman's response to this, along with me eventually eating cold pizza, was that she will give me 50% off. Not a great first impression. I'll update if it ever actually makes it here. UPDATE: What you'd expect of a pizza that had been in the box for over 30 minutes... the pizza and bread sticks were both ok. I ordered the pizza well done and I would say it was barely done. I'm sure it's good if you eat it there or carry out. It was such a hassle to communicate a very simple pepperoni pizza. I doubt I'll give it another chance. Rusty's or Santa Barbara are better options. read more

We ordered a large 2 topping with pepperoni and mushroom & a mini 2 topping with pineapple and Canadian bacon & the 6 Piece Chicken and 10 Piece Wedge. Service was amazing and they are super nice. My spouse and I ordered a medium pizza yesterday. It was absolutely delicious. We had extra cheese, pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, and black olives. This was one of the best pizzas we have eaten in a long time. The toppings were fresh. I especially liked their ranch dressing. We also ordered garlic parmesan and barbecue wings which were very good as well. The wings are big. Personally, I prefer smaller wings, but their wings have great flavor. The place is also very clean and had friendly staff. I can definitely recommend Flame's Pizza at the Stockdale HWY location. read more

I usually dont leave reviews.....(lies).... But this place is fire! I could eat a whole Large alone in a matter of intervals. I came here due to the reviews, and i was craving pizza the last sunday of October 2023. I asked one of the employees how good is thier pizza. He said in confidence, that "It is the best!" We ended up getting the combination, well done. It came out perfect!!! Everything was so good, and you could tell all the ingredients were high quality. I seriously can't wait to come back to treat myself. And fyi, I'm not leaving a five-star review for the free breadsticks. haha. This is my favorite place in town for pizza now. They're very creative with how they do their topping, they actually have it on top and under the cheese. And they are very generous with the toppings, they don't skimp on it like many places do. Overall it's great tasting pizza here. Only thing I will say is that it is bit pricey and wish they had better deals but is what it is. We've had their combination pizza and pepperoni/bacon pizza and both were fantastic! Will definitely be coming here more often in the future. read more

This is EASILY the BEST pizza in Bakersfield and it's not even close! This is also a very clean restaurant with wonderful service. I bought 5 XL pies for a meeting I did in town and literally every employee asked me where I got the pizza because it was so good. It was OK. Got the large family special...pizza was average, thicker prefabricated crust, non-descript sauce, fair amount of cheese and low flavor pepperoni. Chicken was good, but under seasoned, not like the stuff from the review in March, and the potatoes were some of the best in town. Wedges not good enough to drive me back...shared with four kids and it was enough for all of us...about $9 a person, so the same as most anywhere. Might do it again but then again, I might not with other dinning options close by. Went on a Monday at 5:30...nobody was in the shop and parking was plentiful. The place is CLEAN, seriously well kept. read more

as my kids would say this place is bussing no cap for real for real. this place is really good we tried it on a fluke just decided to drop in. we ordered the pastrami sandwich which was simply made giving you a great taste of the meat not all fluffed up like at other places. all breaded items where crispy fresh and warm. pizza was really good. had a great lunch will come again! oh don't sleep on the garlic bread! read more

They pureed the pineapple, and paired with the chili pepper sauce, it was great. We had leftovers and can attest that both pizza's held up well for reheating. I would say this place as some of the best pizza dough in town. Paired with their honey, spicy rand, it was great. The drinks and appetizers were also very good. Their pork belly dish appetizer was SO delicious. We actually put the pork onto the pineapple pizza and had a grand old time. Both my partner and I got beers. I got the cucumber beer, that was pretty good and refreshing. My partner got something light, I'm not sure, but he also enjoyed it. We made a point to only pick things made in house. I had this at the yelp event, but their white peach carbonated water was amazing. Pretty happy with this place. Their workers know the menu and were super attentive!

There is plenty of seating and the lighting is dim. Establishment is really clean. I ordered wings and wedges. Wing flavors I ordered garlic parm & Frank's red hot are lacking sauce but the flavor is excellent. The wedges are massive and have great texture and flavor. The ketchup is basic ketchup nothing special and the ranch suited both flavors perfectly. I'll have to return to try out the pizza but the four stars is because the lack of sauce, other than that good wings & good wedges.

Make sure to ask for ranch, especially when you order two large orders of wedges and forget the ranch. Overall, we will be returning for pizza and trying different variations of their pizzas. There were a few employees behind the counter, nobody came to the front to assist me. I have nerve damage in my lower extremities so standing for too long hurts. Not to mention, there's a sign on the counter that's says pizza that is done will be placed on the counter, and to have a seat if the pizza isn't there. So I sat. I'm sitting in the dinning area, table directly in front of the checkout counter, I'm facing the checkout counter. An employee even walked out right by me, made eye contact, checked out the salad bar and then went back to the kitchen without ever asking if I needed assistance or if anyone had helped me yet. A little time goes by, employees are walking around the kitchen where they can see me, nobody coming out to ask how they can help me or to take my order. Some other woman comes in and kitchen staff immediately come to the front counter to help her. I got up to get in line now that some customer service is being offered but a family rushed in the line ahead of me to order. So I'm just standing there, with our pizza done and ready getting cold sitting up on top of their oven, not out on the counter where the sign says pizza is placed when it's done. While I'm standing there waiting for the customer in front of me to finish ordering and paying, another employee comes out to the checkout counter, makes eye contact with me but turns his back and starts sorting ranch. He could have easily just grabbed our finished pizzas and breadsticks and brought it out to me since we had already paid online, or maybe even just asked, "how can I help you?" Any of the many times he made eye contact with me, but he didn't. I was completely ignored. It was finally my turn to get some help. I asked where the pizza is kept once it's finished, so the server pointed to the top of the oven where they pulled our pizza down from. The pizza wasn't even warm enough to feel heat coming from the boxes when they handed them to me. Why I had to wait for others to come in and kick the kitchen staff into customer- service mode is beyond me, unless their kitchen staff is all racist? What other reason could this behavior be? Staff should be rushing to the counter to help every customer the same. So tell me why I was ignored the way I was, yet the kitchen staff rushed in to provide service to other people before me as soon as they walked in? This pizza isn't good enough to be eating it cold and hard after being treated poorly by staff. Get rid of the sign instructing online orderers to have a seat and wait if you're not going to assist customers sitting in your dining room.

Very impressed! Excellent food, service, wait time, quality was top notch. I had gotten the creamy garlic chicken pizza along with a pepperoni pizza with wedges and chicken. It was delicious. I didn't even know they were there until I saw someone else post in a local restaurant group and they did not disappoint. Will definitely be back. I also loved that there were no extra fees with delivery. You just pay for food, tax, and tip of you choose to ( of course you do) unless your order is under$50 then the deliver fee is only$2. We tried this place for the first time tonight. The pictures of the fried chicken is what brought us in. I was not disappointed, the chicken and wedges were really good.
