I ordered the Wednesday night Pizza, Wings, and Wedges deal. It's a great value at around $30 and I have been getting that particular special for 15 years. I have never had to look in the pizza box to verify my order so I grabbed it and went home. I live close and walked there (about 1/2 mile). I arrived home and it was not the pizza that I have ordered for years. I don't think much of it and enjoyed the 1/2 that was correct. Tonight, I was really hungry and didn't want the other half. I called to let Pizzaville know that my order was incorrect from last night. A spoke to an employee who asked me if I'd like to have it replaced "right now". I acknowledged that I would and then he spoke to the manager. The manager instructed the employee that would not be in fact replaced their mistake but instead I could call another number and possibly get a "coupon". I declined the offer to jump through more hoops just to get what I ordered and paid for. I know that places get fraudulent complaints but my order could be easily verified. They didn't even ask my name The manager didn't even get on the phone. He was speaking through the employee as if he were a liaison. Very poor way to handle customer service. In summation, Pizzaville has fallen in to the same trap that so many other businesses have. It's the "We f'd up but f u anyway" approach to service. Too bad read more

Pizza was nice and tasty but I would have preferred a bit more sauce which was great. Place reminds me of old shakeys with all the nostalgia. Took me back from when I was a kid in So Cal. I used to come here a lot years ago and this is my first visit back in about 12/13 years. Well sucks to say that I was really disappointed this time. The inside is outdated and very dim, definitely could use an update. Service was good, guys were friendly. Now on to the food. Wedges were ok, pep pizza was subpar, and the chorizo pizza was disappointing, very little meat on the pizza and the overall flavor was just lacking, the cut was horrendous on the pizza, i literally never thought id be that disappointed before with pizza but i was wrong. They have earned the spot at the bottom of my pizza list. Sucks to say since i used to come here a lot. I would not recommend it and prolly will be my last visit. Worst pizza and chicken wings I have ever had. Never go back again. The chicken wings were so dry and over cooked when you bit into them they imploded just like turkey in the vacation movie . The pizza had really no flavor burnt crust dry . But the pizza was really greasy. read more

Went here tonight for a birthday and the food was delicious! Good potato wedges. Combination pizza was delicious and different with pineapple on it. Kids loved the pepperoni pizza. Pizzaville is so hit or miss for me. The restaurant is pretty outdated and it's very dark on the inside. The service is fine. The restaurant layout is you order at the counter and they call your number when your order is ready. We went on a Sunday so we waited a descent amount of time for our pizzas. My favorite item were the chicken wings. They were delicious and packed a great punch of spice. They were perfectly crunchy and didn't become soggy too fast. My second favorite was their pizza. I feel like the crust is very unique and people either like it or hate it. Some people in our party had complaints about the crust being burnt because it's a crunchier crust personally I don't mind it. I actually appreciated the crunch on the crust. Finally I ordered the zucchini sticks which I was super excited about but the batch we received was pretty soggy and i felt like they were overwhelmingly greasy this time around. I'm not sure if it was just a bad batch. I am definitely going to try this place again because I have people in my life who LOVE pizzaville but I'm definitely not sprinting back anytime soon. read more

As long as this place has stood the test of time in Bakersfield, my first visit here has been very recent. I'm not sure how I missed it all these years! My initial thought walking into this place was that it looked old, musty, and dingy. But let me tell you...the food is delicious! Pizza is very good! Lots of toppings, cheesy cheese, and crispy dough that's soft on the inside. And speaking of toppings, don't let the canned mushrooms fool you. Although strange to see on pizza, it gave it it's unique flavor! They also put seasoning on the pizza, which gave it a really great trip to flavortown. We also ordered potato wedges. They are just pure perfection! Love the crispness and how much they give you in an order! $5 and some change for a whole to-go tray. This pizza place is great for huge parties. So much seating! And there are several TVs if you care to watch a football game. It can get awfully loud in here though. Just be prepared! Lived close to this place over 15 years and finally getting around to trying their pizza. Should have waited another 15 years. They aren't kidding when they say they serve thin crust pizza. Think frozen pizza thin. Pizza had little sauce and little flavor. Just not good! We had pizza and chicken & potatoes. This place is like a flashback to the 80's. The pizza had that authentic 80's pizza taste which is great. The chicken & potatoes were also great! Service was prompt. But they could work on their social skills a bit. They seemed a bit up tight but it was near opening so maybe a bad case of the mondays. Anyhow I would definately go back. Pizzaville pizza has consistently remained in my top two for the past 20 years. It's definitely the crust and the sauce. Layers and layers of flaky soft with a nice thin crispy bottom, then lightly topped with a nice thick sauce. They have a family friendly atmosphere with picnic tables and arcade games.
