I love Mediterranean food, so I've tried many different places. This place isn't bad, but I wouldn't say it's the best either. I will say that I believe the owner is genuinely very nice and friendly. However, he quoted me a 15-minute wait, and I ended up waiting almost an hour with my kids. What was even more frustrating was that people who ordered after us received their food before we did. I'm not sure what happened or why there was such a delay, but unfortunately, the experience was not worth it for me. The food was okay, but not good enough to make me want to come back. If you're looking for a place where you can spend an impressive amount of time waiting for mediocre Mediterranean food, congratulations, you've found it. The whole experience was frustrating. Slow service, and absolutely no justification for the amount of time spent waiting. I ordered at approximately 8:36 and got my order at 9:30 and mind you we were the only customer there still waiting and people who ordered after us somehow got their order before us. I will say the man that took our order was very nice and helpful even though he quoted us 15 minutes and took over 40, no apologies nor explanation. I was literally the first customer to arrive, the first person to order, and somehow the last person to leave. I'm still trying to figure out how that achievement was possible. Apparently placing your order first doesn't mean much here. Not sure if it's regulars that they serve first or what it was. The food finally arrived after what felt like an eternity, and unfortunately, it wasn't exactly worth the wait. I was expecting something that would at least make me understand why it took so much time. From the very first bite, I was amazed by how tender, juicy, and delicious it was. The chicken was just as impressive, with incredible seasoning and so much flavor. Wow amazing smoky aroma from the meat! Can tell they used charcoal. One of the best weekday meals I've had in a while. Was at Glendale Galleria and decided to stop by before heading home. Easy parking behind the restaurant but spots itself and lot is pretty small so I can imagine it being hard to snag a spot on weekends. BBQ plate with rice was 4.75/5 for me. Came with lavash, salad, hummus, red onions and peppers. Meat was very aromatic/smoky and not too salty. Great flavor that really highlighted the natural flavors of the beef and paired really well with the white sauce. All the vegetables from the salad was very fresh and not wilted. Though, the meat was slightly tough compared to other spots I've tried like Mini Kebab a few blocks away but the flavor here was superior in my opinion. If the meat was less tough and had bit more fat would have been a 5/5 for me. Fries 5/5. The seasoning is what makes these! Really enjoyed these even though I normally prefer thin cut. These thick fries was a great combination with the bbq plate and still stayed a bit crispy after the takeout journey home. This paired really well with their tomato based red sauce (not ketchup by the way). I will say that the food did take about 30mins to be ready which is longer than we expected considering there was nobody there before us. After trying the food and tasting the charcoal flavor I can see why it took longer than the other places...well worth the wait just have to maybe call ahead if in a hurry. Solid spot. The pork shawarma was pretty good, Armenian style, how I like it. The portion size was also perfect - looks huge when you unwrap it but due to the right balance of ingredients it just hit the spot for me. Items on the menu all looked good - some more traditional Armenian dishes but also items like hot dogs and wings. I saw charcoal in the names of some of the dishes. Forgot to ask, but I'm pretty they are cooked over charcoal, which is a huge plus of course. Definitely coming back for more. There is a covered outdoor sitting area, and parking in the back. Totally worth the wait to me! The chicken pieces were thick and juicy, had great char and Smokey flavor. It wasn't overly salty which I always appreciate with Mediterranean restaurants. I didn't get any sides because I'm staying shy from carbs. The lavash they included was a nice addition though. It was thin, soaked up the juice from the chicken and made the meal filling for me. The raw onions added a little bite of freshness that elevated the flavor of the juicy chicken. The meal was simple yet filling for a light lunch and affordable! We came here because we were looking for some Mediterranean fare in the Burbank area (which shouldn't be hard to find). They were posting a Shawarma special (wrap, fries and drink for $20). That seemed like a fair price, and the reviews were good. The sandwich was not enormous, but just the right amount of food for one person. So, do not expect to share a wrap here... it's just enough for one person. The fries were flavorful and nicely seasoned. The wrap itself was tasty and had great sauces. There is a seating area, but it is essentially outside with a covering. Since most days in the city are great, you can generally eat there. However, cold weather may have you getting your meal to go. All in all, this was a good experience. I would visit again and get another one of their specials. Also, expect to pay extra for using a credit card over paying in cash. The food was tasted really nice, warm, fresh! The French fries I think are really home made, was was fully tasty. The pork was delicious, and kind of juice. They gived us some sauce on the side, I thought was ketchup, but it was not teased like a ketchup, it was kind of tomato juice. It was pretty good, I loved it, I think the try to make ketchup home made, if they really did they have my respect. The service was nice, kind, and helpful. Nothing bad.
